  1. *read in The Professor's voice* "According to my calculations, the exact chance of such an anomaly occurring is lim(x->0) x * 100%."
  2. Wow, very, very well done!
  3. Thank you, realism is what I strive for! ;) I'm glad you like them! The statues are one of my favourite parts and were quite fun to build! ^_^ :D :D :D there are so few McGann fans out there, I'm just glad he got that mini episode "Night of the Doctor", because I was surprised and impressed that people in America (while this was at Brickworld) knew about him! Thank you! I'm a little annoyed because I actually added some detail to the console unit for displaying at the Canadian National Exhibition, and because it's such a pain to re-assemble from the box, I wasn't able to take updated pictures. Oh well, maybe some other time! Thanks for commenting!

  5. Greetings Sci-fi and Doctor Who fans! Here's a little project that I was working on over the last 2 years. The Eighth incarnation of Doctor Who (if you don't know the world-wide phenomenon of Doctor Who, stop living under a rock... I'm kidding, maybe this will help...) used this version of the TARDIS (his time machine, stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) as well as the Seventh incarnation of Doctor Who to have many adventures. This version of his time machine was most prominently featured in The Doctor Who movie (filmed in Vancouver Studios in Canada, may I add), and although it failed to warrant a Fox series funding and airing of the show (phew!), it did manage to capture the imagination of many, as seen in the comic strip continuation of the Eighth Doctor (for example). The Eighth Doctor (played by the brilliant Paul Mcgann ) was one of my favourite Doctor Whos, as I used to read a lot of the comics, and probably always will be, and here I pay tribute to him with this model. Enjoy!! The hexagonal console. Count 'em, yep, 6 sides. A pain to do, but definitely more worth it for the accuracy I could get! Until next time (and space)!
  6. I feel the hair should be shorter, no?
  7. Yes, win win win! Very nice design!
  8. Awesome! XD
  9. Unless it's brands like decool, which essentially just produce cheap copies of figures most people wouldn't justify spending $500+ for, I'm not really big on them. Mega bloks is a hard topic, because it's a Canadian company, and so, as a Canadian, I'm obligated to support it since it helps our economy. However, LEGO always has been and always will (hopefully) be better in quality, and I'd rather LEGO over megabloks.
  10. I think it more depends on whether you build/play or collect. Personally, as a builder and someone who plays with their LEGO, customs are so much better, because I can slap 'em on my mocs and they look almost like the real thing! It's a much cheaper solution, and you'll have tons of money left over for more parts than if you'd spent it on a purist figure.
  11. Basically for most of the reasons above. I also do it so I have an excuse to show up and hang out with friends from my LUG. ;) Seriously though, it's an absolute pleasure to see the looks of bewilderment and amazement on both the faces of adults and children.
  12. Like you, my friends, I used to be in the dark. So self-obsessed with a pure collection, that anything less would suffice. Then, one day, someone showed me the light, and now I too, will show it to you. XD It's funny you say that, because I used to be SO against anything but pure, but I actually just made my first custom figure order last week. I ordered the Future Foundation set, it just looks so cool. Yes, it may not be LEGO, but truth is, is LEGO really ever going to release a set like this? Probably not. Even if they did, I only had to pay about $10USD for Thing, Torch, Spiderman, Invisible woman and Mr. F, so all in all, probably a good deal. If you're tight on money (like I am), I think custom is a pretty good secondary option. Decool may not be as good as LEGO, but hey, it works!
  13. Takanuva '08. I mean, just look at him!
  14. XD Same! First Toa Mata and favourite Toa Nuva! I remember my mom was searching for it the whole of my birthday week, and when she came home and revealed she FINALLY found it, I was bouncing off the walls with excitement! So many memories!
  15. This set looks absolutely amazing, now I have to pick it up!!
  16. :( Guess we'll be waiting for a while then.
  17. Obviously then you have the greatest mind of them all! :P Haha, she's so ridiculously over-powered that Thanos would have to team up with every known MARVEL character from every universe/dimension/time/place in space just to have a tiny fighting chance of take her on :P
  18. Phenomenal job!
  19. Thanks for the warning! I will definitely keep my distance! ;)
  20. 'cause people here are willing to go that high, inadvertently making it more difficult for those of us more poor because they show LEGO that there are people out there willing to buy at that price, so TLG won't lower the bar.....
  21. Haha, it's cool, I guess they really do!! Agreed. I have so many of the same Spider-man figure that I've just started to give them away because I think I have about 7 XD Although I would love a FF version, I don't think that version of Spider-man is popular enough to warrant its own figure, other than for an SDCC release. They should start doing that, absolutely. I want Miles Morales and Spiderman 2099 SO BADLY!!!!!!!! SQUIRREL GIRL!!!!!!
  22. A superheroes cmf series would be just phenomenal! I'm skeptical about DW though. Keep in mind, we haven't even heard the results of this quarter's IDEAS yet or seen any surfacing of a potential license other than small tid-bits like Ideas saying the license was now available, etc.
  23. Neat-o! My only criticism is that I hope you plan to snot the floors as well as use slopes to give it a more "rugged" feel. Otherwise, pretty cool!
  24. Definitely going to be sometime this or next week based on their previous statement and video releases.
