  1. True, but its so much lighter.. And besides fully charged battery box is somewhere 8,4V, not 7,2V.
  2. Yeah I had camera set for indoor light... Thanks!
  3. IMO any weight adding is a bad idea... Just rebuild it so that tha battery box is lower, or by using offset servo motor on side (like Efferman) and a small, rechargable BB.
  4. A'ight i managed to find some parts by involuntary donations from other models. I actually like this color combination: Opened doors and steered wheels: Going uphil... Opened bodywork: And the underside: So how it works? The M motors provide enough power for usual crawling, they almost stall when you hold the model, but outside they didnt seem too weak (except when i got grass in gears). A small problem shared by his bigger brother is stability. Tilting it over 40-45 degrees and it will flop on its side. But the big one does it too, so I guess its a good replica in this way too If you have the parts, I suggest you to build it, because its just so much fun to drive it arround. Here's a video of the perforamnce:
  5. Great! Btw i updated the axles a bit, so they are a bit more stiff, and also increased the steering angle by a degree:
  6. That sure is some heavy duty, almost scientific-like testing! Power puller wheels sure seem to make the model stable!
  7. No video or photos of the real thing yet, because i'm missing some bricks... Btw I updated the .lxf file to fix some minur bugs.
  8. User Rammy Indianajones: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpFa9s_HLJYLkFm6dJCAD2Q So far i saw mine, Mahj's, 2legoornot2lego, and who knows how many users... I think we all know what to do... Get your pitchforks
  9. Thats a real beauty! I love the way you reuted the pneumatic tubes and the clean lines.
  10. Here's a moc inspired in Thelonious monk's mini 9398's topic. I managed to squeeze 3 M motors inside, but the model is not yet physically finished, so i'm posting some LDD screenshots and the .lxf file if someone wants to try build it. In lxf file only 4 bricks are missing, the two ball joints ends. The white 24 tooth gears is a clutch gear, So here's how it looks: I think the color sheme matches nicely. It even has a steering wheel and opening doors! Of course the body can open up like its bigger brother to show off the crammed battery box. Comparing it to the 9398, it has a slighty longer wheelbase, but I dont see any way of reducing it even further. Steering is done very simple, without any gears. A simple lever pushes the steering rack. Its simple, but it works good! So if anyone wants to try build it, here you go. Mini 9398.lxf Tips when building: Use soft, usually grey colored springs. There is intentionaly used friction pin where the 8 tooth gear powers the 24 for steering. It reduces the wheels steering themself. Use the stronger white clutch gear (the one without Nm marks) Some colored parts used in LDD model dont exist or are very rare Route the powering M motor's cables inside the truck, so they dont get stuck on bumpers. If someone builds it, please reply here with their opinion. Thanks!
  11. Really cute! MAybe you can motorize it like with my minimog?
  12. I serioulsy doubt, they would change the colors back...I love the new grey!
  13. 25 as of few days ago... My family and girlfriend undserstand my hobby, and support me, but other people, when i go out and drive the models and record... They are like, cant this thing go faster, or is that Lego? I didnt now Lego could move, or stuff like that... Still as long as family and friends are there, all is fine
  14. Tricky situation... Well if not you, someone else will post pics later...
  15. I doubt someone would counterfit one of the more complex technic sets, its just too complex Photograph the bad pieces, or ask Lego for replacement.
  16. Not really, the universal joints alone are rather weak. Also your steerings sint good, as the links are parallel, which means each wheel will want to go their own way and that aint good. Alst thing the pictures are WAAAAAY too big. I may sound harsh, but oversized pictures make me a bit
  17. Its a common bug when using flex or hinge align tool.
  18. There's a differrence between 660 shots/second or minute
  19. You did it again! Also awesome photoshopping, I was like WTF before I read it. Just needs an equally crazy trailer!
  20. Jay for overkill! I really wish I could challenge you to a TT race
  21. I took the liberty of closing the windshield and extending the springs and some small details: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/LDDparts/9398.lxf
  22. Yes, but this truck uses different mountaing made out of plates squeezed in the turntable, which is stronger!
