  11. You can solve sync problem by using servos Than it all comes down to control
  12. Maybe he meant outriggers attached just under the turntable, so you dont have the transmit the force through the chassis? Like X configuration 8053 had?
  13. Keep us updated You think the rear suspension system could be applied to the front?
  14. I just ordered some missing bricks and should be starting building this thing next week
  15. I love all the texture details in the road and walls. Also nice techniques used for roof tiles. I like :)
  16. I can only speak for myslef here. First try build a few sets to get the idea of the various building techniques. Than try to modify the sets to your pleasing by trying to add more functions, etc... A good example is the 8110 Unimog which just begs for all kinds of mods including motorization, chassis improvements and creation of different atatchments. You can also try build some of the other builder's MOCs. When you feel like you understand the basic techniques you should try building your own model. Yes the first models usually suck compared to other sets/mocs, but here's the important thing. Keep trying! Try different bricks, positions, techniques in order to achieve the same solution. Try to do more with less, to make stronger structures, etc... As in most thing in life practice makes perfect. And if you ever need advice well... Thats what the forums are for Just remember to take good pictures so we can help you more easily.... And soon enough you are gonna help others
  17. Maybe try some studded support - its more rigid.
  18. Depends what you want... If you want a simple fun light and efficient model, than you can just stick an RC model, some simple suspension and have a go with it. If you want a good looking model, that usally means its gonna also be heavy because LOOKS=BRICKS=WEIGHT. The more weight you have the more efficient and tougher everything has to be in order to support it. Suddenly you need diffs in order to steer better, complex suspension to compensate for weight transfers, gearbox in order to get the most of the drive motors which in big scale are usually underpowered, etc... It all depends at what you want... I tried both extremes: For example the trophy truck is as simple and light as possible While the Tatra 8x8 was quite mechanically detailed and complex Which one is better? Both in their own ways, the trophy truck is almost indestructable and always ready for action, while the tatra was more impressive, mighty and technically correct. If you are gonna race the models, than KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). If you are gonna exhibit models, which are not really too mobile, than stick all the diffs gearboxes, ackermann's mcpherons, gearboxes, limited slip diffs, anti roll bar suspensions, caster, camber, toe, panhrod's and whatever else you might think of inside. Thats my 2 cents
  19. Greetings Dimitris! Nice to see you starting on technic, hopefully they will pull you into the funzone.
  20. Greetings! Hope you like it here.
