  1. There are deeper rims like the ones that came in the Creator Mustang. But at such small scales, there are big issues managing to fit a steering arm inside, while allowing for a good steering angle and most importantly keeping slack low.
  2. Ever tried reversing a trailer in a perfectly straight line? It's the same issue, you can't push something straight like that, especially if you're also steering it sideways.
  3. Brilliant reverse engineering and ofc a very good design by the designer! It's nice to see additional value and functionality even in such small models. EDIT. Does Jesko use the shorter version of the 3x19 frame? I think a normal 19 stud long frame would collide with the door mechanism.
  4. Good eye, sure looks like it, especially the distinctive flat side next to the pin. Great to see them slowly replacing normal hubs.
  5. Having the dumb battery box in the well... electric box and a motor with a comporessor integrated into the excavatar sounds like a brilliant idea. Also have a manual pump also available, so you can unplug and play with excavator manually.
  6. Designer made a compete and beautiful model and than the bean counters came...
  7. McLaren P1? Wikipedia states it ended production back in 2015, almost a decade ago. This can't be right... What about Solus GT in the new orange color?
  8. I think so, though it's totally a legal connection with half a stud offset in one direction and a stud offset in other.
  9. Now we see how the new C beam has been more or less critical for this steering system to work. Brilliant design, and brilliant resverse engineering @R0Sch
  10. Or you can use a perpendicular connector and position the link same as 42099's rear steering linkage
  11. Looking at the leaked photo, it does indeed look something like that, but it looks a bit thin for an axle...Maybe it's a 3,2mm bar? Either way it's still very useful!
  12. Looking at the photos of the hub, I have more observations: There seem to be optical encoder rings behind the drive motors, giving the hub ability to measure their RPM and thereby having an option of an intelligent electornic differential and constant speed control. This is very useful to keep the model going straight! Drive motors seem not to be inline with the output axles, hence they don't seem to use planetary gearing, but a double stage gearing with normal gears first and red bevel gears second. This indeed would allow for very high RPM, but torque might be questionable. Or they are inline and use just one stage plenatary gearing... The steeering motor basically reuses the same magnetic ferrite and probably the gearing from L motor. USB charging port is probably in the back between the drive wheels The 6 LEDs are probably lid up via light pipes simillar to the one for status LED. I would not expect them to be very bright due to safety concerns. I expect the fiber optics to be simillar to the ones used back in the 90's but having end shape simillar to the one used for PU and PF LEDs - slightly recessed pin.
  13. Can you post a photo of the model, especially the steering mechanism? Might be a mechanical issue with underdesigned steering mechanism.
  14. The outputs ("power holes") are placed in the rear between the single holders, they are driven by red colored gears, which makes sense with the PU system. In the rear between the mechanical outputs I expect to be a usb C charge port.
  15. No, according to the official documentation. What scale do you expect the model to be? I think it's going to be too big for 1:16. so I think it will be 1:12 or so.
  16. So it appears the hub has integrated motors AND LEDs, so I expect some fiber optics or such.
  17. From my experience 28 tooth bevel gear inside the 7x11 frames wth axles supported inside and outside work the best.
  18. Used them for work on modified Audis and in a custom made rally car, no issues so far. They have a very simillar overall deisgn to the planetary ones, the weak points are the side walls which eventually wear down, thereby increasing slack. But as said before, they are order of magnitude better than the standard ones and I hope to see them used more often in sets even if they may not be needed.
  19. Brilliant use of the L connectors for the grill. Very clean shapes and efficient chassis too. Hope to see it IRL one day!
  20. You can use toggle joints 32126 to make any size of an engine using half pins.
  21. Or you can use the new one from the Audi. Either way, good job!
