Simplest way is just taking two wires and a 9V battery and connect each wire to the side of the light/motor.

Here's the current progress: The gearbox and steering are installed. Only thing bothering me is the fact there is quite some friction in the planetary gears, so the truck struggles in high gear. Fourt function will be a secret for now -
