Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
kabel replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
I pretty much know what you're talking about. I've finally ended up to secretely buy those sets twice that I like as much as my sons. Still, you can never have enough pieces and so sometimes I end up secretely exchanging pieces, for example normal brown for dark brown or so. It's getting harder and harder though to cheat the little guys though. And yes I know, I'm a mean father ... -
A Wild West Contest of some sort would be a good idea I think. What would you think?

one littel hint for #22, the original towers in that region were once put there as border towers. So like this Volhaal is already located in Avalonia. -
Thanks for the encouragement lads! Going is slow as I only use pieces that are sort of left overs from my other projects, so it takes a while for all the pieces to get together. However, I should be able to finish the brick part pretty soo. What I really dread though is the rigging. That has always been the stage at which I gave up on ship projects, so I hope it's not going to happen this time.

My village Helgestorp and my first town Stoneroda got destroyed during the war of the elementals. Their citizens relocated to Thorshaven, which has a safer location. So no need to rebuild them. -
The goat if definetely my favourite Lego animal ever made. Glad I have it although I'd much rather have a whole herd of it. Strange it never appeared in the hobbit sets though.

Why doesn't Castle have its own section of Eurobricks?

that's the best compliment I've ever heard about GoH up to this date. And yes you are right, I does indeed feel "warm and cozy" this one click away! -

FDawg, 1. please refrain from double posts 2. just create yourself a new sigfig and story, shouldn't be a problem 3. we don't "claim" land here in the North like those greedy Avalonians do. We just found settlements. And yes, the mountains aren't that settled yet - so plenty space for you! -
I strongly believe a generic theme in the normal price range would have done way better. But then again, I really stacked up on the sets when they were sold for reall cheap (20 € for Colby city). But to start, for example, with 50 € for the coach was just absolutely into the face of the European customers. So except for CMFs I think they are done with it, unfortunately. We are still missing buffalos and wolfes!

Venunder, why don't you just deeplink the pics? Having people klick links is usually not a good way to recieve much feedbck.

I wonder what your tight wearing neighbors to the North think about this. But then again, what's happening in Avalonia these days anyway? -

" and who were put off tremendously by the actions of the illegitimate Avalonian government, which has been taken over by the drow". Yeah, kinda like that ... -

Just for the same reason an imaginary game of thrones topic would end up here, it's invented history with strong influences fom the European middle ages - the same like most Lego castle series ... Star Wars got it's own topic because of the sheer amount of traffic it generates on it's own and because it's always there. -
The build is really cool and the hut extremely creative. But I was kinda wondering myself too, what are the monkey and the Cobra doing in the clanlands? Really quite a shame Lego hasn't made any forest animals yet except for friends.

Dude, maybe you should start the AoM first in order to become more aquainted with building in Mitgardia and develop you own style, collaboration will come at some point. -

I'm sorry to say so, but that's bull! Just because the kiddies keep on ranting about the Missing Minas Tirith set, doesn't mean that this contributes to the well being of this forum. Just check out the crazy amount of castle mocs produced for the GoH forum alone and you'll see that you have no clue what you are talking about. History is one of EB's Top three boards and has been so even before LoTR. Besides, why should LoTR not be here? It's about castles and knights and all that kinda stuff, isn't it? -
Playmobil is doing really well with their Western theme, so there is an interest among the kids. My own kids love all the Western stuff I moc for them but LR failed because it was too expensive and too specific. Anyway, due to this failure I doubt we'll see it ever again.

This is the castle forum, what the heck are you guys complaining about? -
KK III was definetely the best since 1997 or so when they had come up with those silly fright knights. And that is mostly due to those nice civilian sets of which I bought multiples. I truely hope they carry on along those lines and make us forget the castle 2013 sets.

I've eagerly been waiting for you to post this here, man it's such a true beauty! The roof, the wood the interiour, everything here is perfect, and it's absolutely Mitgardian. And I know I've said this before, but this has got to be my all time favourite moc by you!

No LDD stuff in the major challenges, but other than that you are free to join and show what you've got! Yohaa hasn't build a single real build but is nonetheless a respected member of Mitgardia, although he hasn't been very active for a few months now. -
Haha, Sarah going evil, who would have thought that! Anyway, nice build and I hope next time you do something in the snow!
