  1. the mead series continues:
  2. Well thanks guys, glad you like it. Funny how the mead got me out of my builders block ... @ME: yeah those birches, plenty of them in the forests around here, foresters even call them the weed of the forest.
  3. Athough most Elves are experts on making mead themselves, Fridolin the Mountain Elve had taken a liking to Erlingur's stuff. Nothing could ever compare to it! So every now and then he visited his friend at this house in the Heavenly Mountains and bought a few kegs to store up his supplies. Fortunately his horse knew the way home on his own ... stories and more pics later ...
  4. Very nice, your getting better and better! Now you just need to start working on getting your pics across a little better!
  5. fun, and it's good to know that there is some oppostition within the dwarven ranks, time for me to post my town hall assembly I'd say ...
  6. one of the modules I haven't seen yet, and yes, awesome as always!
  7. Thanks for the comments guys! It's actually rather funny to see what you all read into this. It is actually meant as a cutaway, but that is mainly due to my most of bricks being stuck in my Thorshaven layout ...
  8. Wow, this is just super cool! The black background behind the pics looks truely awesome and makes your mocs seine even more so. Gee, didn't know you made such an awesome ship, you got a ink for it?
  9. Posting your stuff here is absolutely cool man. Giving it a little story to tie it in with your guilds general story is just more fun though!
  10. This is all pretty cool, nice techniques and stuff, but in how far does this entry contribute to the Lore of GoH?
  11. Not much feedback for me today, so thank you two! I'd say Mitgardians celebrate the Winter Solstice, the festivity Christmas is actually based on!
  12. for some strange reason talking about mead got me building again. So here's the next installment of my mead series.
  13. In Mitgardia, the popular greating formula "share my mead and meat" is often to be taken literally, especially when you visit Erlingur the beekeeper. Not only do his bees collect the finest honey to be found in all of Mitgardia, he is also know how to rifine this nice product into something even more sought for, the famous Heavenly Mountains Mead (HMM). Erlingur's mead is of such excellent quality that his best customers travel from all over Historica to pay him a visit at his house and sometimes even in his cellar drafting the fine stuff directly from the barrel. However, since Erlingur's mead is not only popular with men but also with dwarves and elves, his costumers sometimes run into akward situations ... so could Erlingur actually help to preserve peace in Mitgardia?
  14. I certainly do not recall you ever objecting to the standard of North being the top in GoH ...
  15. Massive! Best stuff ever done by you. It's gonna take ages to figure out all the details ...
  16. Welcome to the best guild within the GoH universe Sam, glad you finally made it! Two questions though, did you paint the helmet? And did you take it from a killed Varlyrian sell sword? (good job on that it'd be kinda cool to see how you performed the job that got you promoted to captain )
  17. On my way to expand my mead mini series ... ME: Next time I'm in the US I should consider seeing the South although it's quite a ways from Seattle where I once lived
  18. Thanks for the comments mates. Unfortunately I don't have the time to build anything bigger atm, but fortunately vacation is only a day for me! That's exactly it! My father in law is a beekeeper himself, so I know a little bit about bees myself. Might even get some bees of my own this spring!
  19. Arkansa our Loursiana was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the pics without reading what you had written, although I haven't been there myself yet. Sure would like to go though ... Anyway, fantastic build and very inspirational. Guess I have to start building bigger trees too because I really love those!
  20. I really like these combos, quite my favourites series in this contest so far. First time ever I enjoy anything fleshy, and that's quite an achievement I'd say!
  21. Thanks for all that positive feedback. Kinda surprising since this is just a small vig to get myself building again. Bigger mocs are in the making again though ...
  22. I think r.a. was refering to all the small challenges, not the main ones.
  23. I really love all of your underwater builds and actually I've become very fond of your small vigs. Time for me to get into this stuff as well I would say ...
  24. @Garmadon: this is the thread for freebuilds not for challenge entries The Beekeper /kabel/ Mitgardia Making Mead /kabel/ Mitgardia Transporting the Mead /kabel/Mitgardia Midsummer (after having drunk the Mead)/kabel/Mitgardia
  25. So the mead actually inspired me to do a little freebuild. Maybe I will expand this to a whole series around mead, I'll see if I find the time ...
