LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
SpiderSpaceman replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
well I'm personally more curious about the "_______ motors" on the driver's suit. (couldn't make it out - ____fford? trying to remember the names of the k/christiansens... ) also, do you really need a backstory for 'clutch'? -
no it needs a raised eyebrow. I know what you mean though: dracula hair, racer x body, world racer head, and persia claws make a sweet wolverine - a multipart, hidden minifig. What I want really bad is a headpiece, like frankenstien's - but Klingon. Also I would have used the phrase "first contact" in the title - but then again I'm not root admin

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion

Hey the hula girl has a splash of pink in her hair - painted flower. Also I do believe I subscribe to the "every man for himself" mentality. Get whatever you want - especially now that we're in series three and the lego folks have explicitly told us the availability will be much improved. But I myself only want 1 copy of each for display - any more will be for parts - and possibly enough tennis girls for a doubles match, and two sumos to be perpetually going at each other -
The Thing is absolutely great Aaaaaaaah Victor Creed A friend of mine got really hung up on "I saw the wolverine movie - sabretooth looked just like you..." So she decided to nickname me sabretooth. Ended up being a very easy halloween costume. And nobody even thought I was johnny cash - success! The figure is hands down the most excellent. could use a toothy belt buckle though I detest your loki (in the best way possible ) I think that means you did it right, he's amazingly true to the character.

2011 NINJAGO sets
SpiderSpaceman replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm a little afraid I'll be having to pick up my least favorite set of the theme for a handful of parts: The Icedragon has those ridiculous knuckles (also on top of the cockpit of the new drilling submarine), the big white copter blades, and on the off chance the flag is printed, I need that too. Happily the figs and weapons are a welcome addition, and the clear blue rocky slopes (like on Crystal King) would be great to get - actually I'm sure it's a fine parts pack even for hinges and basic parts - I'm just not gonna do anything with the bionicle style super-detailed parts. The only worry is budget, really. Might just pick up the few new parts on bricklink. -

ok, I mean as far as getting boatloads of rare parts out of advent calendars, that's gonna be a missed opportunity but I think most people agree that belville was second rate, too many huge chunk parts, and aimed at a target audience that didn't want it

It's ninjas vs.. biker skeletons. it's about half and half - classic ninja on one side, science fiction fantasy skeleton gang on the other -

there's a Groups tab over the Bricks - just click that, click on the boxes in there (command click to select multiple) use the hide tool if you want, or the inverse selection oh I was going to continue but nevermind - Command key is the Control key of Macs - come on, you should know that -
Haha it was just a joke, man - your additions are better than mine, don't think I'm seriously criticizing to brickdoctor, yes, sarcasm It reminded me, I was at a crowded football (american football) game on a university campus last weekend, there was not a men's restroom on campus that didn't have overflow from the ladies room - it was awkward

needs more Desmond! (and maybe a little WAAAAAAALT) these are great To Flitwick - Minifigures series 2 lifeguard is the spittin' image of juliet. Sadly, it wouldn't fit with the fleshies.

8115 - Dark Panther - Theme: Exo Force link Errors: No stickers Other notes: Each figure is a group for ease of seperation Leg posing is slightly sloppy 7693 - ETX Alien Strike - Theme: Mars Mission link Errors: Life on Mars aliens (and "toboggan") used in place of Mars Mission aliens Part 3839 MINI HANDLE has been replaced with 3023 PLATE 1X2, due to inability of the virtual part to connect to part 40378 NECK - TAIL LINK, ⌀7,84-⌀6,47. positioning of 40378 should however, be exact with reference to original part. no stickers, decals (besides astronaut face) 2152 - Robo Raptor - Theme: Roboforce link Errors: 48933, 63868, 60478, 50303, 504304, 50305 used in place of older counterparts No Decals 50746 + 60478 used in place of 2880 (not the best choice I'm sure)

LDD Relay Community Build 2

Oh that is cool! good and whimsical I don't know if anyone wants to do anything with the pillar in the base but that's as much a part of it as anything - and it's got technic holes, so it's ripe for building off of -
ADHO suggested that I call attention to a couple of things I left unfinished - the space between the stairs and the glass top coffee table - and the glass top coffee table. the first one was just lazy oversight and will probably only take two or three plates to fix. the coffee table was left unfinished in case someone wanted to turn it into something else - an extra bed or a billiards table, etc - again it should not be piece intensive to top it off. Edit: oh also, since chains are getting used for stair rails, someone really needs to put something to hold it in place the other hole in the floor was to make a loft or indoor balcony effect, a feature I often find really cool in houses - though I have to admit it usually looks over a living area instead of a corner with the top of a fridge my bad another thing I wanted to mention was in the concurrent freeform build, we're making each new contribution into a group - maybe not what we want for this, but if we group each floor, we can select floors obstructing our view and hide them with the hide tool ^also get in on that build- plenty of turns to take ;) - and it's a fun diversion

LDD 4 Lighting Problem
SpiderSpaceman replied to TheCAF's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I think that's the standard shading - and it could stand improvement for sure but that's just how the program is. the only way to find other shading options is rotating the model. then all your shadow will turn up on another side. Another note- if you try to use the new advanced shading with a computer that's not quite up to it, your model can end up just.. cloaked in darkness. I'm guessing it's the base layer of visuals and the bright spots and reflections just don't show up when the computer can't handle them - but I'm not sure that's the issue you've got -
