First sneek peak at LDD 4.0

and chains as well but that adds a ton of complexity - plus most of the time you just want those to hang naturally edit: now what I do have to hope for is tank treads and rubber bands... -

lookin' gorgeous, 4.0. this really improved a bad day. -
terrific I was amazed

quite awesome - I like how there's some subtle hull shaping from the layers of curved slopes, I love the gunner section, the back is cool with the tailfins and thrusters, and the cabinet rockets are good 'n' zany ... make the wings a bit chunky but I'm happy to overlook that

glad you like it Kiel! I wish I could build it in real bricks - a lot of the dark red parts are just not available - little more luck with bright red, but still.. and I need a few more of those windscreens in whatever color I can get 'em in

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
SpiderSpaceman replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
well an painter's smock could look like a doctor's lab coat - and I know I'd much rather get an artist - we've got doctors aplenty. Just being wistful on that, no reason to think it'll happen. but it sounds like Klaus-Dieter thinks it's plausible. -
After having engaged in a lot of talk about possible space theme comebacks (blacktron, ice planet, spyrius), it occurred to me that I should run with an idea I had by just swapping minifig helmets one day: Make a space theme out of Fright Knights (and lump in Wolfpack for good measure). Crossover, sequel, spinoff, comeback; whatever it is... I thought it would be fun to play around with. So I created the personal ship of the Batlord, Czar of FrightForce, the F.F. Draconic: I'm not very happy with the belly (screws up the form factor), the cannons under the wings are also due for replacement soon. and there's nothing on the brackets at the front of the wings, that too will be rectified Here's the batlord out of the ship and in full battle gear: and an extra, an ally of the Batlord, Hyperstellus the space djinn: he is of course: a cyborg genie. and his lamp is fitted with rockets and antigravity hover.. things. pretending that this is a theme, he would be packaged with some moonbase/castle. I may well design that. I also want to do a Wolfpack WereWalker (may transform, minifigs would be spaced-up werewolf figs), and a laser cannon moon buggy (high tech with gothic accents - to evoke the token lego castle 'catapult cart' sets - figures... probably space druids). makes a solid 4 set theme.

I hadn't known there was a problem with that helmet. what was wrong with it? -
My understanding on the illegality is that you can't connect a row of studs to a row of pinholes, or connect a brick with studs on sides to a technic brick and connect them together to a plate, or having an overlap on top, etc. a single stud into a single pinhole with no other connections should be legal: in fact you can do it in ldd: with the 1x1 plate only - try it (in fact that's another connection problem, plenty other parts should be able to do that legally) you probably know how to find that reference pdf file better than I do, give it an extra look EDIT: here pulled 'em out for you
