  1. The side by side is really great. There aren't any other counterparts, huh? also megarat and megabarrel (especially megarat) are just rubbing the 'RIPOFF!' in LEGO's face My feelings exactly. That's a fair counterpoint. my brother got the blue angel jet a while back. lots of parts for the money. the clutch was awful but the design was A'OK.
  2. OK, I own the set and I should know. Those are off of drilldozer, right? Hey can you make them slip lots of 53585's into future sets? Not that it matters to me, I bought about 40 on bricklink a few months back. By the way, do LEGO employees have to feign ignorance about bricklink? "What are your feelings about the bricklink resellers market?" "Oh, I've never heard of that." Damn you, Bricklink.
  3. I like them. Especially corroder. As an aside, your avatar is Strong Bad.
  4. OH LORDY YES. Needs a visor like the little captain guy too. Actually if they make it the "ice planet babe", they could do a female looking female like everybody gets so worked up over eh, I wouldn't really care for that. Megabloks did all the marvel heros as ball jointed robots. I dunno. We've had star wars technic characters but they were all justifiable by having insanely great mechanical functionality. Hey, come to think of it, that's probably why the recent truck truck bike truck digger lifter truck truck technic trend doesn't satisfy me. (I do love me that snow groomer.) Now if we bring it down from a whole licensed wave to one exclusive set alongside both a respectable license theme and an unrelated hero factory wave, I'm in.
  5. Old thread, eh? oh well. Won't do any more harm now. nepal, then egypt, then india.
  6. See the movies. They're almost enough to forgive Disney all it's corporate evil, teen television programs, and straight to DVD sequels Ok, no. Nothing is enough for that. But watch them and don't think about disney, and they're easily topping the list for best adventure movies of last decade.
  7. OK, I can third you guys on both of these now ;) MassiveDerangedGoldfish Overbuild Assembly Rank 3 Engineer Rank 3 Summoner Any time I can't join in likely means I'm using my own trusty old integrated graphics macbook. It runs but it runs choppy with lowest graphics settings. Go ahead and pick on macs ;) Lego universe hadn't yet been announced when I got it, and I was wanting good software for the brickfilming craze. (which I am so getting back into.) Most of the time my little bro will oblige with his laptop for a couple of hours. I'm gonna state the very obvious so bear with me You did see the "batlord" any faction specialty kit? (along with some horrifically ugly and unneeded stained glass jester suit) yeah I guess that's not what you're asking. I'm a bit stoked for that though. hope they don't set each item at 1000 tokens or something so elite.
  8. Psst, Kenta, go find your typo in your last post
  9. Like Beast Wars Megatron, or Barney? Each hero could be a callback to a space theme. Ice Planet Stormer
  10. In truth, ice was only one of three settings for Adventurers Orient Expedition. (the others being india and china) - so you can't count it any more as an "ice theme" than World Racers, in my opinion anyway. just nitpicking Now, Alpha Team had a year devoted to ice. Full o' Transformers, no less
  11. Also copied: Cowboys. I want cowboys. The villains can be a cactus and a tumbleweed, maybe a big ol ox skull. I don't actually care. Just give me cowboys. We need a ball snap holster. Big old hats and spurs.
  12. Cowboys. I want cowboys. The villains can be a cactus and a tumbleweed, maybe a big ol ox skull. I don't actually care. Just give me cowboys. We need a ball snap holster. Big old hats and spurs. Hey hold the phone, ninjago throwing star IS a hero factory spur! Iiiii think it's MOC time.
  13. I've already started dreaming about finding these in stores. My lego buying dreams are always pessimistic, because at first it always looks like there's an amazing selection but it all vanishes as soon as I try to make a purchase. sometimes it's aisles and aisles of retired sets, revamped reissued sets, and "oh my gosh this set doesn't even exist! I'm so buying that", sometimes it's a box of collectible minifigures - but it's always a letdown, as it will turn out that the box was filled with empty packets, or megablocks, just keeps me from ever getting anything. Also I've noticed that my subconscious really really wants lego to have a "Peanuts" license , and that the undisputed best lego set ever was "Aztec Ritual" Oh but anyway, the point was, when are we due to start finding these?
  14. And this took a bit of getting used to when I first found it out. I always colloquially called dark green "bright green", and earth green "dark green" also i was surprised that the bleys are 'stone grey' because it seemed that the reason people disliked them was lack of natural stone-ish quality of the original greys. being chiefly a space fan, I didn't mind at all. I actually get irritated nowadays when I pull out old grey but I think I just have to suck it up and mix them with reckless abandon. but back on topic everybody.
  15. Yeah I should have put more into my post, but I meant to factually address the "what kind of plastic is it?" - that it's not a single type. and I understood that some parts need to be the one type and some need be another. I knew the reasons, just didn't put any effort into the reply. Edit: I know I sound like someone making excuses to save face, but cross my heart, that was my intention. I'm bad at expressing.
  16. there's a little bit of color discrepancy between surge's ball snap armor and his other blue parts
  17. Same. the transparent soldier is straight up awesome. I can't see myself ever getting into Doctor Who, but that big yellow playset is right up my alley. I might hang on to the picture for reference, build some bits like it out of my quality Danish materials.
  18. I like the set aesthetically (wouldn't mind a brick built head), but the wings are so limp.
  19. Exactly, thanks word in bold is my addition
  20. The question is, who the heck on Naboo rescued the man's torso and didn't tell Palpatine? Chewie and Lando, flying the falcon right under the palace? Nuvo Vindi in his swamp lab? Jar Jar? Random good samaritan? Outer rim.. the Hutts? I don't think they can keep that kinda secret. A slave trader? Wouldn't be on Naboo and wouldn't think "oh, a living torso! $$". His spy droids couldn't pull that off, too puny. Did he pull himself back together with the force? Did he make a force magic trick to look like he was sliced when he was really just giving up? Did he have some high tech immediate response paramedics on his invisible ship? They better have a flashback.
  21. Not to mention a bit of pohatu nuva claw booty shaping. And for the record, all the silver coloration is such to suggest she's wearing everyone's favorite ol' fantasy standard, the armor bikini. We don't necessarily need the rest of the ladiebots quite that sexed up..
  22. could you replace my socket too? I love these unbreakable parts so much.
  23. I wanna hear more about the HF Design by Me. Hoping that's getting demonstrated @ toy fairs. Also, LEGO Customer Service has done right by me! My replacement joints for Jetbug came in today - New style!
  24. So yesterday I beat one myself on Overbuild BUT... it kept breaking apart and respawning with no life or armor, didn't get any credit for killing it. But anyway, rank 2 engie (only bought universe last week ) MassiveDerangedGoldfish. edit: now rank 3 engineer, due to lots of red imaginite use and hogging the spider cave with turrets Hopefully reaching that will help me slow down to occasional use during my semester - so I can become an actual mechanical engineer, who probably won't be building giant yellow turrets (but will certainly be good enough to build the best if I wanted to) (also when I really get a handle on that stuff I won't have to feel like such an idiot around Front and Superkalle )
