  1. A detail I like on the pirate fig is his tentacle housed in the cyborg arm. also, somebody was complaining about the differences between his red eye and the buggy eyes of the other aliens - obviously it's a cyborg part.
  2. I am invisible Rather, that's exactly what it is, without the sticker applied
  3. I think it's silly that everybody's thinking of that part as a "core" I mean the hero core very obviously is, has an emblem on it. But this "villain core" is, in my mind, just a mechanical detail. It's a gas tank door, for crying out loud. I guess what I'm saying is the hero cores signifies allegiance to hero factory - but I don't think this piece is meant to be specific to any organization I think that's a placeholder. the preliminary images for the fire villains all had a trans-neon-orange piece of armor where their printed armors ended up
  4. only summer sets I'm likely to get are Witch Doctor and that awesome red warthog thing. Witch doctor is like something I wanted out of bionicle for a long time - because of the tribal aspect of the island of mata nui era - built some blowdart matoran with hordika skull helmets and ehlek grass skirts... headhunters... and witchdoctor just does all that and more for me
  5. ah my bad, man. I forgot about the separate poster/reviewer thing on bzp. and I know they say it in the article but I guess I wasn't paying proper attention
  6. So I think Andrew at Bzpower was the first one to crack the Nex name pun - Orange Julius. Had me hitting myself in the head for not getting it. Much like Mitchell Loeb (Michelob) on Fringe. Screwy drink pun names.
  7. so you guys know, a drilldozer breastplate fits with the color hero armor. A 90650 (the bulky arm armor) also fits to fill it out in the hip. All intentional I'm sure.
  8. My sets just came in, and I'm absolutely nuts about them. Everybody involved in these designs deserves a life supply of pizza. Front, you da man. Touché. (or T'owch, as you probably pronounce it kidding, kidding.)
  9. I knew it was but I'm still gonna make myself one. "Mock" just sounds so unfathomably stupid. They'll always be Em Oh Cees to me.
  10. yeah it's a strict "do not shelve before Jan. 1"
  11. 65767 - Attack from the Sea - Theme: Knights Kingdom II (sets 8801 + 8802) link Errors: All sails/flags replaced with Part # 51000 No decals (except for face on Rascus) Part # 47576 (bricklink id) replaced with round 2x2 plate.
  12. That was something else I'd factored in. I'm pretty sure they are exclusive to him for now.
  13. yes, and a (seemingly) removable, minifig compatible oversized samurai helmet... but then again it's probably not as oversized as I thought. The big old head throws me off.
  14. sand green - I mean it's an existing color but I wouldn't call it "regular green". regular green to me is the green in the background
  15. Ordered nex, evo, surge, and drilldozer from TRU. spent a day picking, lost my cart, checked to see if evo was available - repicked, and spent forever weighing the shipping fees against waiting to find them in stores. so I've paid $7 extra and still probably have to wait a week. also drilldozer is my least favorite villain but I get all the parts shared by the villains, and the excellent ball/beam/peg piece. I will probably bust them all open simultaneously and MOC the day away.
  16. Excellent stuff Aanchir! gorgeous display but a little tricky trying to separate out the sets from the lego scenery. looks like a temple, a bridge, the two dragons, and a monster truck. ridiculous gold weapon in a fire fountain in front of said gorgeous temple. I also like that we've got extra options for getting Garmadon. and there's the new bighead skeleton, with a hideous single piece head/nubby armor - but he seems to have a removable, minifig compatible, oversized samurai helmet, because he appears in one set with the straw hat, and I believe it is the same mold elsewhere with the huge samurai helmet.
  17. Flag is printed. Well, that clinches it. I'm going to have to buy this. which happily does mean I get my dragon knuckles and I don't need to buy an expensive top to get my throwing stars.
  18. the remake of The Hills Have Eyes It was nasty. Saw it on TV because my roommate really enjoys slasher movies. And it's not like I can't stomach slasher movies, or enjoy a little bit of over the top. Yes. Should have just been called "007 spends even more time on the beach than usual"
  19. haha, yeah yeah still pretty decent though, and I'll be trying to get one And thanks for the tip, Mike. I'd gone today with my 5 year old baby sister, but since the event was put off I might have to take her back Just concerned about how I'll know when they're actually gonna do it. I guess I'll start calling my TRU daily
  20. And to this I say "Awwww yeeeeeah"
  21. Somebody linked to the instructions a while back but I'm sure it's down now - it's free hand, just a simple one hand on either side and push in opposite directions. I really really need to figure out when it's been rescheduled to around me because I don't wanna miss out on my freebies. How is the little sword stand? Is the tile printed or stickered? And in case I miss it, are you really attached to your extras?
  22. I went and waited about an hour, the toys r us employees told me it was being rescheduled but they didn't know to when - is that universally true or just for my TRU and Lego representative?
  23. never complain about extra king kahuka masks
  24. You know, I feel like the girl from Willie Wonka. The one who falls down the egg chute. "But Daddy I want it NOW"
