2011 NINJAGO sets
SpiderSpaceman replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I like to think I would have noticed it if any of mine were like that... but now I think I'm gonna have to go check -
Yes, but the "officially" signifies he really does know about the whole shebang, but isn't allowed to blab
-
Wait, what's the wye we're all talking about? EDIT: ah, duh, nevermind. I was thinking of something akin to 57585
-
well, wildcat claws anyway and Headdress/helmets. I think I was right about rocka being lion themed. and actually, furno seems to have more of a bow. It's gonna be a black yellow and orange fall for me except that I'm wanting WD and RJ as well - so add red and white EDIT: ANNNND There are two new parts I hadn't accounted for the stringer/nex hand, and the bulk "armor detail with bar" BUT no insight on the green armors
-
I'd found in one of my brand new figs, when I turned the hand, a white stress mark appeared along the middle of the blue arm. other than that, yeah, I've got a lot of torsos cracked under the arm, and loose arms with that, but mostly on ice planet and backwards. I used to swap out arms and hands all the time, now I'm much more cautious
-
My throwbot (slizer) sockets did me right. Didn't have any trouble till vahki. Later on some of my toa and bohrok feet, and some nui jaga joints got old and cracked.
-
yeah it's a truffle in a trufflepod.
-
Hahahaha ohhhhh I need to find me one of these Amen.
-
So... theoretically... if I hit up LEGO's Replacement Parts service, plugged in jetbug, missing parts, and selected 5 sockets: which version shows up in my mailbox?

2011 NINJAGO sets

Yep, prototype is the lower one, and I agree - they certainly seemed to downgrade -
I think "sex and drums and rock and roll" is actually a lyric Yeah, nerd blame is always on the person. There are always respected macho men who can say, for example, "yeah I like hello kitty goes to mars, what's it to you?" You get a funny look but people overlook it when you're a John McClane grade BA. I'm a nerd LEGO fan. Nerdiness is something I strive to outgrow, Lego could never be. Everybody gets flak for what they like, the difference is what they act like. But I have to admit, every time I want to start a local LUG, I am terrified that my fellows will have unpleasant personalities or disgusting hygiene, and I know I should have more faith in my fellow AFOLs. That or stop thinking I'm any better

Comparison of the Skullcycle in production and the prototype: I prefer the prototype by far. and thankfully, it's a quick reversion, using less than 40 common extra parts (16 being bushings and studs) In fact, at $15, I think I'll buy a duplicate and keep one of each -

and dang it, they're "out of stock" now. probably fixing the price.. -
Niiiice. I wouldn't have thought to try that.
-
well... there are somewhat blurry and small leaked preliminary pictures linked to earlier in this topic - just a couple pages back. The better and lego sanctioned - yet still preliminary - pictures will start rolling in in the middle of february, in the form of toy fair coverage.

2011 NINJAGO sets
SpiderSpaceman replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
none of mine turned out misprinted go with the three smallest sets and the dojo. The vehicles are actually my favorite sets, but if you buy those 4 you get all the traditional ninja stuff (including lots of printed panels) and only end up stuck with the motorcycle. Gets you your coveted helmet, a set of nunchucks, and the US price at least made for an excellent parts/price ratio, don't know how well it translates in the UK. so outpost: black ambush: red motorbike: blue dojo: white; sensei I personally got: outpost ambush motorbike dragon shredder which got me Black x2, Blue x2, White DX, Red each skellie x1 (2 - armor, 3 + headgear: straw hat, jester hat, army helmet) 2 bone axes, 3 shuriken, 2 gold sickles, 1 gold set of nunchucks, katana: 3 black, 2 silver some kinda monster statue, a grove of bamboo, and a gorgeous flag off a dragon some sweet clear rocky slopes, ball joint bricks and new knuckle plates off said dragon 2 killer vehicles and a partridge in a pear tree. and about 730 pieces in all. -

I'm more than a little concerned about the godawful printing gaffe on this fig: link -
I got it reminds me of the way I fixed breeze's lack of feminine form...
-
You're from the US, call them Throwbots, dammit!
-
I'm know you've all noticed ages ago, but it's new to me goats and hens goats and hens goats and hens! I'm excited.
-
So looking back at the heroes they all seem to have robot-animal skin headdresses. nex has a very tiger looking hood. stormer has his rhino helmet. stringer's kinda panther or bear looking. I like the way the "paw" has an angled channel at the back so it can be used as a paw. And if these pieces get added into the HF design by me, it should be very easy to make all the wildcats these parts suggest.
-
It's something like a Lion Headdress. Definitely robo-tribal. Can we please please please stay on the Savage Planet for more than one wave, LEGO? No? It's wacky that they'd make fancy promotional images with the blank green parts... could they just be blank green parts after all?
-
yes it works very well, and the chunky armor panel (on drilldozer's right leg and left arm) fits underneath the vest for hip shaping similar to that on the standard hero armor EDIT: haha, The Dor beat me.
