  1. Thanks. Pantographs are Steinkopf:s design, which I have used a few years now. Except for this pantograph build I added the "porcelain insulators" (technic bush 1/2) at the two base bars to look like those on real E69:s.
  2. Thanks all for your kind comments. I counted the build to approx 350 parts which was much more than I first thought.....
  3. I have almost completely migrated to PF powered models, but still build som "old" 9Volt powered models. When building small shunter yard locomotives, it certainly helps to only have a 9V motor, and to be able to focus on detailing more than hiding bulky PF components. My design is partly based on E69:s built by PolLUG and LatLUG. Base is 7wide with 6wide hoods and 6 2/3 studs cabin, and overall length just 16studs (buffers not counted). With extensive use of SNOT and various offsets, I think the look is quite prototypical. Feel free to comment. (if I manage to upload photos.....)
  4. Yeah you are really late I made an updated version a long time ago (2012 more exact). . http://flic.kr/p/bYroyq . .
  5. Now again.... You are a perpetum mobile in the lego steam locomotive world. Great work, as usual.
  6. Nice addition to your impressive collection!!!
  7. Freight shed with that DkOrange roof is my favorite. Well done!
  8. Opening the PF motor is simple, provided you have the correct tool. I can't say anything about wear since my 7760 rolled very little. Most negative I recall was the increased rolling resistance, so sometimes the centre wheel did not rotate when driving around.
  9. Hello. This has indeed been done before (but not identically as you propose) see below links all though old and photos might have been deleted..... http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=64090 http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=66622 . .
  10. I've run out of superlatives......
  11. Following your discussion about wheel size, it seems an 8wide version in scale 1:45 will very well match BBB medium size wheels. 24mm diam * 45 = 1080mm which is pretty close to 1100.
  12. Amazing build, very inspiring. With your skills I like to see a similar design but as an 8-wide "little-brother" which should also include PF motorization. If you don't build it it, I am tempted to make a try myself
  13. I also like trucks with hook lift!! I did a design a few years ago that you can find in my Flickr - if you have an interest to see a hook which is built differently.
  14. Impressive work ! Nice to see further ideas and development in this area which I find so interesting. Also many thanks for your kind recognition of my earlier work in this field. I currently use a version similar like Baard's in my Swedish T44 diesel and think it works alright. But I see your point of making a decoupler with longer stroke. Thanks again and I like to see more if your brilliant designs. PS: How do you like my version of your amazing V100 ? DS
  15. Yepp, those trucks look great.
  16. Nice truck with good looking colours, excellent detailing and functionality !! It looks like the real thing.
  17. Yeah why not try this elegant solution http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=102906 .
  18. Why not try building a blue 4563:ish loco ? That's also a classic design, and I think your chances of coming close (designwise) are much better. To be honest I don't see any 7760 genes in your current model.
  19. Sorry I don't have any instructions or files.
  20. I have made some red german shunters, V60 and V100. Kindly check my Flickr by clicking the link below and you will find many photos. Good luck.
  21. 4564 offers more playability and loco is the best european style freight loco TLG has made to date.
  22. A topic I find interesting but I think there exists neater and technically superior solutions e g by Baard.
