This I did not know! I had no idea that there are full spectrum bulbs, guess I'm going shopping today for bulbs.

So... I recently decided it would be nice to take some pics of my MOCs to post, but for the life of me I cant get the pics to come out nice at all, what am I doing wrong? I set up a white sheet as a backdrop, put up every lamp in the house around for a flood of light, and set the MOC in the middle. My pics all come out yellow and dim no matter what setting both my cameras are, with flash its even worse, the colors are terrible and the brights are too bright and the rest is dim. After a few hours of tinkering with the lights and cameras, I almost threw the camera across the room from being so pissed I have tons of post worthy MOCs, but they never see the camera because I cant for the life of me get a good pic, and seeing some people's photos just makes me not even trying to compete. Please Help!!! Tell me what I need to do so I can take good pics and start sharing MOCs. If it helps, my cameras are: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX37

I'm bringing a large Modulex MOC! along with my NILTC city section.

I have noticed this as well, I think the reason is that its the ink used in printing the mini poster was not given enough time out in the open to properly dry, it was probably printed and packed in the packet right away, there is no effect I have noticed with the smell on the figs. No big seal I say.

Awful... Just awful, still have so much building to do, so little time, gonna have some sleepless nights building for Brickworld. (goes to put on coffee maker) Haha, It sure will be good to see everyone again and to meet new people!!!

Its called college. Being a college student take up a lot of time and effort and time is tough to find for building a set or two.

This I would like to know as well, Can I put in a random fig for reference on where the actual one would go?

I did, when I was in High School. I had a MP5, Desert Eagle, Walter PPK, and an AK-47. Me and my buddies had lots of fun in the woods behind my house.

How Timely of a MOC since where I live, we were bombarded by severe storms. Nice Job!

Cool idea for a contest, although I have a few issues... The end date for the contest is heavily biased towards those where the release date for the figs was May 1. North America gets them June 1 and most people in NA probably will probably not get their figs on time or only a few days before the end of the contest. If you want to let the NA guys get a chance at this you probably should stretch the contest a few days longer IMO. Just my 02 cents.

No, do not glue, LEGO is meant to be used without glue, thats what separates LEGO from other building type model kits etc.

Where is the "whenever I have the time" button?? I sometimes open sets the day I get them, while others I do not have the time to build at the moment. I have a three year back log of sets still to be open. Sometimes, because of work/school I buy sets, put them aside and happen to forget them for a while hence the three year old sets that I just randomly forgot to open.... I think I still have sets older than that laying around still.

Hello All, I would like to get a few of the new collectible minifigures. Since these are not in the states yet and Europe has them I'd like to get a few to get some reference to see the quality of the figs and etc. before they hit the states. It would help me determine if I want to blindly buying a whole box not knowing the quality. I'm not looking for the whole set, just two or three random sealed bags would be fine. I'd like to get these as soon as possible. I'll pay the cost of the figs +shipping/handling through paypal OR consider trading (depends on what you want/If I have it). PLEASE HELP!

Japan is one of these places I should not go to just for the fact that I would spend a fortune there if I was to go. I'd buy everything I would see. Seriously though I'd love to go to Japan one day, hopefully soon.

June 1 is the release date for the states.

Ugh, so much to build... too little time. I cant wait for Brickworld, I just have so many things I want to build but don't know If I will. One thing is though I'll have a big display of Modulex.

They are LEGO Brand stores, one in Northbrook, Schaumburg, Orland Park, and Chicago.

I build them, the MOCs go to a few shows, when I get bored with them or am changing a theme in my layout, I salvage them. Although I have some MOCs that I will never part them out. They are either too nice, or way too much work went into them to take them apart.

Nice little MOC. Yes the news is very sad, I've been watching it on TV since it happened. Quite a sad day for all Polish people around the world.

I love Anime/Manga, I read Manga books sometimes, but I'd rather watch the anime version. My favorite animes are (in no order and just to list a few) Dragonball Z Tenchi Muyo (all movies and OVAs) Hellsing Unlimited Tokko School Rumble Blue Sub no.6 To Love Ru Initial D Yumeria etc... Only thing I dont like about anime is the DVDs are so darn expensive.

Well I gotta add DVD's to my list, After building an awesome home theater system in my house recently, I had realized I wanted to put all my movies into one place by the system instead of all over the house... after gathering each and every movie from around the house, I have realized that I have close to 500 DVDs and box sets. Now I need one helluva organizer system for all of them, I'm probably gonna get one of those 1000+ DVD media tower shelves soon for all of them.
