  1. I can't see the Victorian in this... I built it in a Japanese style, I don't think Japan has too many Victorian style buildings.
  2. Get yourself a high quality makeup brush: Sure it does not prevent dust from coming back, but these brushes are great fro removing dust out of tight corners, and soft enough not to scratch anything up.
  3. I think that LEGO might have thought it through with the barcodes and not used a different number for each figure, It would allow for people to just stand by a box, and find their figure with the number. I think the barcode numbers will be random. A good example of this (even though its way off topic) is Mattel and Hot Wheels with their mystery car series: Yes, I know its off topic but it provides a great example of their numbering system and an example of barcode numbers. It features a dual barcode set up, one is a random sticker code on the top rear of the card which is most likely quality control, and the other is the main barcode. Out of the hundreds of these I had opened, not two cars had a matching code, they were all different, or if the codes were the same, the cars inside were not. So, If LEGO had thought this through, they would not have put a single code for per figure, that would be way to easy to get figures. Although you cant tell unless you actually buy them and go through an entire case of them, I'll do this when I buy mine. Just my opinion from past experience on barcode stuff like this.
  4. Survey filled!
  5. Simply just to not apply the stickers. I have gotten to the point now that I have not used a single sticker on any of my sets because I know that they will eventually come apart and I would have no use for the sticker parts. I just keep all the sticker sheets in a little folder on the side.
  6. Is it me, or does the new shovel piece that came with the zombie fig look very cheap? The new mold is on the left:
  7. The Plano boxes are the best, the dividers to not move around during transport, heck, you can even throw them on the floor and they wont move.
  8. Sorry bud, one bag, one fig.
  9. Well, now I can officially wave good bye to all my cash and savings. Series 2 looks fantastic!
  10. What can I say, I'm a heavy spender.
  11. I guess I qualify for one of those "buy by the box" people. I want/will buy at least 4 boxes of these when they come out... same with series two.

Probably Pabst Blue Ribbon, its like 8 bucks for a 30 case.
  13. I live in the U.S. I have a U.S. Passport, I also have a Polish Passport. I visit Poland about every other year or so to visit family. ...Oh, and a LEGO connection is that there is this one small toy store close to where my family lives where I usually go and find some cool older sets.

Your story reminds me of this comparision of men Vs. women: WOMEN: 1. Pull up to Jiffy Lube when the mileage reaches 3000 since the last oil change. 2. Drink a cup of coffee. 3. 15 minutes later, write a check and leave with a properly maintained vehicle. Money Spent: $20.00 Oil Change $1.00 Coffee ---------------- $21.00 Total MEN: 1. Go to auto parts store and write a check for $50 dollars for oil, filter, kitty litter, hand cleaner and scented tree. 2. Discover that the used oil container is full. Instead of taking it back to recycle, dump in hole in back yard. 3. Open a beer and drink it. 4. Jack car up. Spend 30 minutes looking for jack stands. 5. Find jack stands under kid's pedal car. 6. In frustration, open another beer and drink it. 7. Place drain pan under engine. 8. Look for 9/16 box end wrench. 9. Give up and use crescent wrench. 10. Unscrew drain plug. 11. Drop drain plug in pan of hot oil; get hot oil on you in process. 12. Clean up. 13. Have another beer while oil is draining. 14. Look for oil filter wrench. 15. Give up; poke oil filter with screwdriver and twist it off. 16. Beer. 17. Buddy shows up; finish case with him. Finish oil change tomorrow. 18. Next day, drag pan full of old oil out from underneath car. 19. Throw kitty litter on oil spilled during step 18. 20. Beer. No, drank it all yesterday. 21. Walk to 7-11; buy beer. 22. Install new oil filter making sure to apply thin coat of clean oil to gasket first. 23. Dump first quart of fresh oil into engine. 24. Remember drain plug from step 11. 25. Hurry to find drain plug in drain pan. 26. Hurry to replace drain plug before the whole quart of fresh oil drains onto floor. 27. Slip with wrench and bang knuckles on frame. 28. Bang head on floor board in reaction. 29. Begin cussing fit. 30. Throw wrench. 31. Cuss for additional 10 minutes because wrench hit Miss December (1992) in the left breast. 32. Clean up. Apply Band-Aid to knuckle. 33. Beer. 34. Beer. 35. Dump in additional 4 quarts of oil. 36. Beer. 37. Lower car from jack stands 38. Accidentally crush one of the jack stands 39. Move car back to apply more kitty litter to fresh oil spilled during step 23. 40. Test drive car. 41. Get pulled over; arrested for driving under the influence. 42. Car gets impounded. 43. Make bail. Get car from impound yard. Total Time Spent ??? Money Spent: $50 parts $12 beer $75 replacement set of jack stands; hey the colors have to match! $1000 Bail $200 Impound and towing fee --------------------------- $1337 Total Knowing that you changed it yourself... Priceless. Whats funny is this is for the most part true! haha!
  15. Being in college, finding time to build is scarce. on a weekday I can build for about 15 minutes to half an hour a day. On a weekend if I do not have a paper to type then I can sit and build for 3 to 5 hours.
  16. I think it all depends on your personal preference and what you are building. I personally like to mix up both, showing studs on some MOCs and hiding studs on others. A town building or terrain can have all the studs out because it has a LEGOness look and feel to it. I build most of my town stuff with studs showing because its LEGO. But I do like those MOCs that are just smooth. I'm building now a... (MOC confidential until finished) ...that will be mostly studless, I want to show off curves and the lines of the MOC to make it look realistic, but It will not be completely studdless, some will be here and there where you can still tell its LEGO, plus they add to the MOC.
  17. Hmm, THat baywatch figure sounds like it will be a lifeguard. I can picture a female in a one piece red bathing suit and a life ring for the accessory. I can't wait for a pic of series 2!... although I'm having a hard time waiting for series one to come out! I want em' now!
  18. Sign me up, I myself am a huge Japan fan, manga, anime, Ninja, etc... I would love to see the return of the Ninja line. One thing though we can look forward to is the black Ninja in the collectible figures line coming out later in the year: This is one figure I will try to hoard... Yay!
  19. Glad every one like it!
  20. Like I made the previous post about the transparency of the cheaper plastic, but What is this "square" I should be looking for? I'm looking at the clown's arm and see that something is odd about it but I cannot seem to put my finger on it.
  21. Is it just me or does the pic with the diver looks...cheap? Looking at the legs, the plastic appears to be kinda transparent and a lesser quality plastic, I hope its just the lighting but some of these figures look a bit poor on quality. I pray to God that these are not made in China with the cheap plastic, IMO that would be a bad move by LEGO.
  22. I also agree with the Cheese Slope. Its kinda funny how we consider the best elements to be the tiny ones, I mean come on, the cheese slope is one of the tiniest LEGO elements out there, but the potential use for it is endless! Its Brilliant!!
  23. It was great to see this at the show, great building!
  24. Yes id does get quite expensive, but I have enough of it for now to do some building...I just do not know what yet.
