Part count question regarding set 7938
Modulex Guy replied to jonwil's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Could it be that the instruction sheet is a part? Add it in, you get your missing part. 668 bricks + 1 instruction sheet. Just a guess. -
Glad everyone likes the store. I also would have liked to tile the floor, and in possibly different color, but I just wanted to finish it and move on to the next MOC, also I had no idea of a floor plan at the time I was doing the interior to plan for mounts for the racks and for figs. the AC unit is the battery box for the interior lights. I'll eventually add those, next bricklink order.

I bring to you, just in time for the World Cup finals the Adidas fan shop! The one stop shop for all your fan gear, from jerseys to vuvuzelas! Close up of the logo. Interior shot... oh you cannot get away from the drone of a vuvuzela! Interior: The store is also open at night!!! A look through the window. Some Specs on the LED lights: Interior: LifeLites Modulite kit powered by two AAA batteries. Exterior: Custom string of 10, 5mm LED lights powered by two AA batteries. Thanks for looking, Comments welcome.

I really really want some of those nanoblock sets, I tried ordering from amazon.jp but it wont let me put the order through due to customs.
-
Nice! Great song by the way, I turn it up when it plays on the radio.
-
I usually bricklink the parts I need. I also have MOCs / an entire large display that I use for our club's public displays that usually does not come apart for about 6 months to a year. THen I have personal MOCs that will stay together no matter what parts I need are in them. ...But its also rare that I need a part from a MOC due to the fact my collection is around an easy 200,000. bricks.
-
I as well have lots of yellowed/faded white bricks, but like stated above, I do not have a bricklink store, I as a buyer have excellent feedback though, would that be enough?

Modulex MOC: Maersk Container Ship
Modulex Guy replied to Modulex Guy's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The bricks ended in the late 1970's, MODULEX did produce letter tiles and the planning board system until the late 1980's. Mostly when you here about recent production, its the letter planning board system, but its quite rare since it was a "build to order" system. -
What a weekend! I'm still in recovery mode trying to catch up on lost sleep, haha. But anyways, it was great meeting other EB members and seeing the rooms of Amazing MOCs. Like everyone else, even though the event just ended, I'm already planning for next year!
-
Tomorrow is the big day!!! I will have a hard time sleeping tonight with excitement!!! My car is almost packed up with my display and almost ready to go!
-
You know what...I bet if you put a scale sized sheet of paper in there it might shred and chew it up a bit in those gears, maybe a 1 inch by 2 inch sheet of paper?
-
Almost no sleep for me last night, I finished up My MODUEX centerpiece MOC (wont say what it is, come to BW to see it first). I'm almost done with building.
-
PANIC MODE IS SETTING IN!!!!!! I still have a bunch of MOCs to finish up and packing to do. ...ugh, sleepless nights and coffee ahead of me till BW.

Modulex MOC: Maersk Container Ship
Modulex Guy replied to Modulex Guy's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yup, Maersk blue, or as close as you can get to the current LEGO color. Not to bad for 40 year old bricks to be in that color. and for this MOC, I'm working on a even larger MODULEX MOC and will post it soon. I still have tons of MODULEX to build with. -

Well they do have some on Bricklink now, just be ready to dish out some money to get the pieces you want. Thats right. My Own Creation. -
A good way to make a brick built hull is to work in layers. First establish the primary shape of the very front of the ship and build one side at a time using 1 by X# bricks to get the curves right for each layer of the hull. Take a look at my MODULEX container ship to get an idea, its brick built and layered, the front is made of 1 by X# bricks to get the shape right. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42810 Hope you project works out for you.

Speaking of American iron, My fellow car enthusiast friend and I might undertake the building of a rat rod possibly by the end of the year. Being close to the farmlands of the midwest, there are plenty of places to find old field cars and trucks to work off of. Most likely we'd be looking for a late 30's early 40's pickup cab and start from there. I'd love to roll around in something like this in a few years:

Please share some pics! I love good ol' American muscle!

Modulex MOC: Maersk Container Ship
Modulex Guy replied to Modulex Guy's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I do not have the LEGO version of the set, this is my own design and I think it might even be bigger than the actual LEGO set. here is a pic of my collection as of about a month ago: Since then I probably added another 5 to 6 thousand bricks as I keep buying up the stuff whenever I see it. -
Modulex MOC: Maersk Container Ship
Modulex Guy replied to Modulex Guy's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Its easily over 1000 pieces, Modulex bricks are tiny and I had to use tons of them on the inside of the ship as there is no baseplate underneath its all brick built. And another thing is, I barely scratched the surface of my Modulex collection, I still have another 30,000 or so pieces. -

I have seen the Statue on Brickshelf, that one os not mine actually, I probably have enough bricks to make it though. -
Well, I went out and bought some full spectrum bulbs, dug out my instructions for the cameras and tried again. Let me just say one thing, wow those bulbs make a difference! That and I figured out how to change the color settings on the camera and got a much better result. To me, so good that I posted one of my MOCs: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42810 Thanks for all the help!

I would like to share with everyone my latest MOC made of vintage 1960's Modulex bricks! And for those who do not know what Modulex is, It was an architectural series made by LEGO in the 1960's, the bricks are smaller than normal LEGO bricks. A 1x1 Modulex brick is a 5mm cube. LEGO 3001 2x4 Brick is on the Left! I barely made a dent in my Modulex collection with this MOC, took me about a day to build. If you'd like to see this in person, it will be at Brickworld in Wheeling Ill. this year along with more Modulex MOCs. Stop by and say hello.
