  1. Or be like me, where I have a massive collection, over 1/4 million bricks easy, still be sorting after I started a year ago. All my bricks were mixed amongst bins and now I'm sorting by color and by part, so I'm still sorting through it all.
  2. I have no problem keeping faded and chewed up bricks, I use them for interior support or under stuff in MOCs where you would not see them.
  3. Heck yea! I still play it from time to time. I do not know why, but its just fun!
  4. Heh, cool figures, they remind me ( at least the green/black/purple one) from the Neverhood.
  5. The photo above is what, to me, is the proper orientation of the minifigure hand when it is empty and holding basic utensils, but sometimes I use the hands the other way to get a different grip on a tool or to achieve a certain position. I say, whichever way works best for the application is the right way.
  6. Sets, I do not mind breaking up, all of my sets, except a few sculpture sets, in my collection are broken down and sorted, I always keep the instructions, so if I have the desire to rebuild sets I pull the booklet out and build. MOCs are a bit of a different story, I have two kinds of MOCs, stuff that goes to our NILTC club shows, and personal MOCs. The MOCs I bring to shows have about a 6mo. to a 1 year or so cycle, after that, its time for something new, so i have no problem breaking them up. Some of the personal MOCs I have that I built just for the sake of wanting to build them, I might never take them apart. A example of one of my personal MOCs (well its still a WIP) is a massive starship I've been working on for the past year and a half (on and off project), once that will be done I will probably never take apart. If I need any parts from it, I'll just bricklink them all and resupply my inventory.
  7. I do not use 12V but a little part inside of me really really wants to get into 12V. Being a 9V fan and user, I am hesitating a bit on starting a new system, but a few Bricklink orders may change that, we'll see where this goes. Mainly I like 12V for the above mentioned features, remote switches, decouplers etc. ...Oh, Nice RC Airplanes you have in your attic too.
  8. Listen to this guy, If they are not LEGO, that does not mean that they are junk!!! I have a bunch of these kind of vintage clone brand sets, mostly Haslam American bricks, and they are quite rare. If you do not want those, I would just put them in the attic and forget about them, who knows they might be worth something big someday.
  9. You bet they work with town, here are just a couple of cars I have with them: I use them a lot when I build tuners and modded cars, I also like 4 wides the best, so I bring in both new and old school techniques when building. I probably have bought close to a hundred or so various racer sets and tiny turbos for wheels and parts for normal cars.
  10. I have a ton of these guys, to me, these were the best.
  11. The angled wall are held on by 1x1 bricks in the middle of the wall attached on an angle, and two Modulex tiles on either side connected in the towers. tricky building, but it works.
  12. Yes store have a list available for what is available for order, mostly it is what you see on the wall plus a couple extra types in between. And it is still on what is available at the warehouse, what store gets what, and what store ordered what. As to list specific available elements, it is impossible to tell what is available at a given moment.
  13. It all depends on a store to store basis, whatever is in the warehouse at the time, when the truck comes in, etc. online has a much bigger selection.
  14. Twas a great time at Brickworld! Till next time! It was me... I just had "Interest in buying" Modulex. As for what is next... I dont know, must acquire MORE!!!
  15. I have bought plenty of things from LEGO Education, anyone can order.
  16. Official LEGO Stores and Toys R Us are the places I have found the impulse sets. I would check there first, I think Target has the impulse sets from time to time as well.
  17. Any news on when these will show up in the USA? Quite pricey from what I see, but I probably would buy a few.
  18. I just noticed that My title has changed. I have: "Ain't nobody takin' my Modulex" ...Sweet
  19. I have some of both color, problem is, I do not trade...well, I'm stubborn as a mule when it comes to parting with LEGO. About messaging, you need 10 forum posts to be able to send private messages to other members, its under your profile tools to send messages.

    Car Talk

Woo! I'm finally getting to do my exhaust for my car! The stock flex pipe finally broke so it gives me an excuse to replace it plus the whole system as well. I have already ordered the new flex and a box of mandrel bent tubes and will build a larger exhaust. After this weekend I'll have full 3 inch (off the high flow cat) straight piped.
  22. Its tiny LEGO. The color I have the most of is Tan, then white, and the rest. Brickworld: I'll be there, see you there. This is a older photo of part of my collection since this I have added about 15,000 bricks and such to it. and for those wondering on how big these are to LEGO, here you go: LEGO 3003 brick on the left. Modulex on the right.
  23. To begin with, Modulex was made by TLG in the late 60's early 70's, they then focused on planning boards and letter tiles, and today, architectural signage. That is the super short history of Modulex. Very old, and Very rare today.
  24. Since new EB member "Karyn" recently posted about Modulex, I realized I had never posted my castle that made its debut at Brickworld. so here it is in all its glory: Enjoy. Comments welcome.
  25. I think it might be easier to try to make your own LED light strings, the thing is that with the PF lights, they are rather bulky for a street light and are not that bright either. To make your own, there are plenty of tips on wiring on the interwebs that show how to make strings and wire battery boxes as well.
