Wow, great work and amazing suv. It looks like the new Range Rover (I do not remember its name). I very like his realistic look and his performance.

Track problem Zorex
The Ghost Racer replied to legomania94's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Simply you have to change the gear ratio in one or both the tracks. -
WALL-E

Cool MOC, very beatiful. I like the simplicity of functionality. One detail: I think the head should be slightly longer than the side of the viewers -
I would love to buy the set 8466, I've always wanted, but as always I deicdo too late to buy what I want, and it is now out of production. It's really rare and expensive unfortunately. I like very much, because I think it is the first big off roader 4x4 ever produced and uses as many as 3 differential is easily motorized, but even so it is very nice to me.

REVIEW: 21050 Create Your Own Architecture
The Ghost Racer replied to JimBee's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great review, thanks. I like this set, but for me the price is not among the best since the book shows parts not included in the set. However that's a good set (it doesn't mean that I'm going to buy it)..- 55 replies

Firebolt Racecar
The Ghost Racer replied to Kwon's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I own one myself (the yellow one). I built it 3 or 4 years ago. It requires three AAA batteries. is a base pretty enough, The bad thing is that the steering wheel does not always do his duty. -
W.I.P: First moc post!

I think it's the bucket for an excavator. Please take pictures of the bucket (or whatever it is) in full, in mod to allow us to admire and understand better what it is. -
Unimog Project
The Ghost Racer replied to MrNumbskull13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Unimog U4000 seems more like a military truck (and it is), so, I advise you to use this model for the design of the cab, to give it a look very powerful. -
Missing/damaged parts or minifigures in new sets
The Ghost Racer replied to Tariq j's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you care a lot to the set, I suggest you go back to the seller and ask him to'll open with him, and then check if there is any, or otherwise to replace it. -
Unimog Project
The Ghost Racer replied to MrNumbskull13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nah, my one had a steering very similar to this and it had just a little problem of torque because I used an m motor for it. -

Ahahah, it's impossible to twist back mine one xD It had come full circle on itself, and now you can not straighten it completely. -
This is a bargain! But there is one little problem: I do not buy items from sellers not located in Italy because of currency change during transactions (which I do not know if paypal does this automatically, but just look at the problem and then there 'is), the real problem is to return the item in case of malfunction.

Thanks for the pic. I'm trying to find these "mystics" wires, but in Italy, in addition to being ultra-rare, they cost € 20 ($ 26.5) each! And the shipping is not included

Wow, very cool MOC. I very like the trasmisssion design and the choice to use NXT motors for drive. I will build something like this but with 4 linked suspensions. Did you use an original cable to connect NXT motors to Power functions?

Unimog Project
The Ghost Racer replied to MrNumbskull13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I advise you to use the portal hubs of the 8110, in a trial truck the axles 5.5 are likely to end up badly twisting on themselves since the torque generated by an xl motor. -
Uhm, a really interesting thing. another important factor is the weight of the model, the distribution of it and then also the center of gravity. The body can sometimes be a very important factor, as in my Tatra, as it contributes greatly to strengthen the chassis. Do not forget axles have to be rigid and resistant, integrated with the excellent suspension, to transfer maximum torque from the engine to the wheels, and from the latter to the ground. To talk about the thing seems easy, but in reality it is not at all: you have to thoroughly study your chassis, make several tests trying to improve it, but at the same time to ensure that the final product is similar to the real one on which the project is based. Of course, creating an imaginary trial truck it may be easier in some respects, including greater freedom of style in building the chassis and body, but all this freedom can become a problem since we do not know where to start to build the chassis, and also if you are not familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of various types of transmission, suspension, axles and chassis configurations vaire becomes a problem make efficient our trial truck. Conclusion: to study in depth the characteristics of the trial truck from which you want to get ideas, evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, realize chassis robust and efficient but at the same time light. A solution to excess weight can be achieve in technic bodies rather than studfull.

Good work. I very like the cab because it seems realistic, I also like power functions that aren't exposed.
-
Wow, really a great job. I love the details of the cab and all the radio-controlled functions
-
Also it does not bring almost no innovation than the model on which it is based, say the chassis is identical to that of 9398, and this certainly does not lead me to spend my money on something worse than the previous model .. yes, it's great as a set, but if I remove it I do not know how to use pezzidato that the chassis is red (and incidentally is also badly matched to the body) and the body is dark blue. There are people interested in collecting the sets, but I am not among them: if I buy a set I can not resist the pow er to modify elimando defects or to make it more functional.

Metal Gears
The Ghost Racer replied to The Ghost Racer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I just finished building the new suspension, now place the photos. the next step is to improve the axles, and ultimately strengthen the chassis and remove the unnecessary parts. http://gtathecompletesaga.altervista.org/blog/lego-tatra-t813-rc-4x4-trial-truck-v5/ There is a limit to what you can get with lego, well, I do not say I wanna pass but I want to get close to it (I am a bit 'too ambitious maybe, ahahah) xD Jokes aside, I'm sure I can still improve a lot my Tatra.- 32 replies

Metal Gears
The Ghost Racer replied to The Ghost Racer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I can not reduce the torque, without it would not be able to overcome insurmountable obstacles. The only thing to do is adjust suspension and drive shafts following the original models- 32 replies
