  1. Great review! Nice and balanced; it's good to see that the downsides of this set are explored as well. I'd still say that 42099 would be my preferred off-roader of the two, but this is one handsome set.
  2. Mm. We do have a mobile crane to get excited about.
  3. Is this about what I said to @allanp about his attitude towards graders? 'Cos I won't stand for graderism, scraperism, or any other vehicular discrimination that TLG keeps perpetrating!
  4. Ooh, get the graderist! Road construction not good enough for you, Allan? Anyhoo, I wonder if the Mini Xerion has a B-model, seeing as the big version didn't.
  5. This puppy really reminds me of 8466.
  6. Why not download the instructions? EDIT: Whoops, sorry, thought you were talking about 42098. It's early and I haven't had my tea.
  7. It's not my cup of tea personally, but it looks well-designed and intricate, so... can't complain!
  8. So driving it outside is pretty much out of the question, except if you stick to dry tarmac? Sucks.
  9. Sam Tacchi seems to be doing a lot more than he did last year... at least, going from what we've been told.
  10. Fun fact - it made its first Dark Grey appearance in 8446 in 1999. It has appeared in DBG before, in 8435 in 2004 and the Racers set 8651 in 2005.
  11. It is staggerimg just how many models you can build with 42043!
  12. This is seriously cool and a good companion for 42053. Nice job.
  13. They're trying desperately to remain relevant in today's stare-at-your-smartphone world. That's the problem.
  14. What, 42094 not good enough for you? Snob. Seriously though, nice work on the Rally Car! Looks good in green.
  15. 'Cos if it performs better, the only advantage left for CONTROL+ is range.
  16. Is it? At least with parts that could withstand serious wear and thus retain versatility, the set would be closer to value for money. And metallic elements would be part of that.
  17. Well, TLG just went ahead and made 42099 prohibitively expensive anyway.
  18. Not gonna lie: when I saw the title I seriously thought you'd made a tiny version of 42062...
