  1. The instructions don't even make sense. They tell you to install each outrigger with the MLA at half-extension. Yet when the instructions press onward, the outriggers are flush with the rest of the truck. I could never work that out and just ended up manually retracting each one.
  2. Did you use your patented NoseGrease(TM) to give it atmospheric resistance?
  3. Not sure the Xerion would be the best choice for a municipal tractor, especially given its size, power and the fact that it could probably level an entire city centre.
  4. It would feel like a cop-out if TLG put balloon tyres on the Mini Xerion, especially seeing that the larger version introduced the tractor tyres.
  5. Smyth's are great for discounts. I'd take them over TRU any day. Got a 9395 at the Cobblers Brick Fair just recently for £85. The box was opened and a bit worn but all the bags were still sealed.
  6. Yeah, well, we'll be waiting a while for that.
  7. Welcome to the world of madness wrought by TLG. Nothing is what they say it is!
  8. @Sariel... post the 42097 review like you said you would... Seriously though, great review of the 42098. I actually went "Wow!" when the truck cab and deck lifted up. EDIT: The 42097 review is now up. Thanks, and please excuse my uncouth Tribbiani-flinging!
  9. Well, @Sariel is doing his review on the 1st of August.
  10. How pissed would everyone be if the RC car turned out to be a Reliant Regal? Well come on, it'd be something different.
  11. Superb job! The balloon tyres are a great match for Trelleborg tyres.
  12. Good news! Right now we can only guess what that construction vehicle is.
  13. That'd be good. Haven't seen one in a while. Anyway, 42099! It's neither orange nor yellow and connects to your mini-fridge. Discuss.
  14. They could do some pretty awesome things with it. It'd be a great upgrade from regular yellow for heavy machinery.
  15. Anyone noticed that the sets which feature these tyres are getting progressively smaller in terms of part count? 42054: 1977 parts, 42070: 1862, 42081: 1167 and now 42099 with 958. I wonder what's next...
  16. Alfred Pedersen is the designer of this set. The numbers on the boom read 98-18; according to his 2008 Technic bio, Alfred began working at TLG in 1998, and the 18 stands for 2018, which is when this set would have been designed.
