Bricklink is a great place to start if you need newer parts. You should be able to find replacement sticker sheets there as well. Other than that, just take it apart and rebuild it.

The Sandcat from Pitch Black is a great example of a tough solar-powered vehicle. Maybe the Badger could take some inspiration...

I was smack bang in the middle of the target market when BIONICLE was released, so it goes without saying that I was a huge fan of it, and I can tell you that it was ultra-popular. In fact, it was the only theme that turned a profit in 2003. In addition, BIONICLE did use a lot of studless construction, but Drome Racers (which is, unfairly in my opinion, nowhere near as well-regarded) was the theme that pioneered larger studless vehicular builds.

Some Bionicle parts, like the Bohrok eye, are pretty commonplace in Technic now anyway. And look at 8264, which uses Toa Ignika thigh panels in its engine.

2017 H1 was cool! We had 42060, 42061 and 42062, small sets which ruled the year. I think you mean 2017 H2, which was easily the worst H2 in recent memory.

Neither 42084 nor 42102 are off-roaders, though, so I don't think that matters much.

It does look very fun to play with, and the details are cool as well, especially the spare wheel. Liking the use of 8285's hubs as well! Plus, I reckon it's more realistic than you think. For some reason I think KamAZ when I look at the cab.
