  1. Looks like a futuristic tank! Seriously though, this is great! It has all the functions you'd need in a real RTC and looks cool.
  2. Yup. My local Smyth's has stacks of them unsold.
  3. It's a giant compact loader! Very nice Eric. Looks just like the real thing; it's much more accurate than 42032. I want one!
  4. Great review Jim! I wasn't going to get this set originally, but for £100 at Argos I just couldn't say no. Overall I'm pretty ambivalent toward 42099. The app control is fluid and it can handle a thick rug better than 42070. On the other hand it's reliant on a phone being on, and the app lacks the tactile experience of using a remote. No official B-model was a pain initially, but there have been some cool alternatives since. I like "Rocky", but I've gone with @grohl's truck.
  5. So I'm guessing that, based on the info we have so far, this thing is going to look somewhat like the mixer in the picture below. So it's probably going to look European. However, some American-type trucks have pretty wide fenders and mudguards, so I'm not yet willing to discount the idea that it could be a big rig, especially considering the recent Mack Anthem set.
  6. Pneumatics with motorized compressor, a winch, multiple mounting hitches for equipment, working crane with grapple and/or snow plough. I wouldn't consider any of those standard equipment for the Volvo A60... plus, 8110 has a B-model.
  7. And what it is is exactly the problem. Basing a full-size, Bluetooth-capable flagship on one of the least interesting construction vehicles in existence (and something that has been done before, better) isn't what I'd consider a good idea. It doesn't even come with a load!
  8. Don't know. I just threw out the motor.
  9. I had an M-motor packaged with 42070 that started making a scraping noise when it span. Luckily I had a spare to hand. Then there was the L-motor whose cable got chewed up by 42080's pump because I hadn't kept them separate - I ordered a replacement for that and it came pretty promptly.
  10. Gets me hyped for 42112! Love the little details like the shovel and use of the Volvo grill as well. Cool stuff!
  11. Odd that TLG would show off the 'flagship' (yes, I am using the most inverted of commas for that one), but not the smaller, less prominent sets. Unless this cement mixer is something really special... EDIT: @grohl detected!
  12. Don't look at me. Still waiting on that cement mixer...
  13. Very cool! Looks like a big Manitou. Most creative use of banana gears yet, and I like the ladder.
