  1. Wow, that looks superb! The M-Tron concept too. Better than final release, imo, but then I am a sucker for anything with the CS logo on it. :) Well, I am glad I read it a couple times before that happened. :)
  2. Love it! Ideally, I think they'd have to earn their colour, too - who knows, maybe Lego can steal your idea and make them in light bluish grey, which I think would be an ideal choice...
  3. Great review, thanks so much! Can't wait to get 2+ of these. :)
  4. Argh, just change the colour scheme to blue and grey and everyone's happy. ;)
  5. Cool. Looks very armoured and bulky for a small ship. Like how you did that.
  6. Love this! Looks suitably (no pun intended) warm inside, too.
  7. That would be ideal, of course! :) I'm just getting back into Lego after a dark age... Do European exclusives typically become North American exclusives eventually, and vice versa? I'd hate to have to Bricklink this...
  8. Awesome review, thanks! Any word of these making it to North America?
  9. I think I'd like to have a couple waves of Classic Space II, myself. If they need to "refresh" things in a third or fourth wave with white and blue, that'd be okay too! The Galaxy Commander remains my favourite CS set of all time, after all. :)
  10. Wow, love it! Going to have to buy at least a couple, though, for the green minifigs!
  11. Sweet, can't wait!
  12. ^ that was really cool. I mean, hey, it's all "peaceful exploration" until you meet up with a not so peaceful alien race, I suppose. :)
  13. Well, there is some buzz in the media about an upcoming (one-way... yikes!) mission/colonization of Mars... Space has been pretty big in Canada over the past year or so, when Chris Hadfield commanded the ISS. :)
  14. ^ some good perspective, here...
  15. I think they recently did it with a small Pirates minifig set, actually...
  16. I want several! :)
  17. Reminds me of a Transformers Predacon! (From the '80s, not Beast Wars.) Cool.
  18. That's a great idea! So will there be CS, Futuron, Space Police, Alien Invasion, etc. racers too? It could make a terrific videogame, too - think Lego meets Mario Kart!
  19. Classic Space all the way for me. I was tempted to pick some of the other '80s space lines as they were pretty good too. Futuron especially!
  20. Including LEGO, too... Or as it was, maybe, a long time ago? I know a lot of sci-fi fans are still clamoring for the "peaceful exploration" days of Classic Space... Seems like they can't do a space theme without conflict, anymore. The anti-military thing is more about public relations/optics than anything else.
  21. Very nice. I like the Battleship a lot but it looks a BIT too much like a sea-going vessle. I know that's probably what you were going for but it's difficult to imagine it flying in space for me. I think maybe the addition of some big space-type engines along the side or some other similar "spacey" element would help it a lot, but I realize that may just be my personal preference.
  22. Yeah, it sounds like we're all more or less on the same page as to what we want, and realistically expect. Just make it happen, Lego! Please! :)
  23. Fixed that for ya. ;) But to an extent, I agree. I see no reason to try and emulate the style of classic space to the point where it looks like the sets were designed in the '80s. Benny's ship (and the upcoming CUUSOO mech) are the perfect blend of modern build techniques and CS colour schemes/aesthetics, and that's what I'd like (and expect) to see in any official CS reboot. :)
  24. Whoa.
  25. I know we are supposed to be talking about the sets, but this sort of stuff is exactly why The LEGO Movie was truly great, and not just "cool" or really good. The concepts are just so interesting.
