I'm just going to echo everyone here with a resounding "yes". :) I hope it comes back in stock. I wouldn't mind one more (I have two) for the green Spacemen! I need a few more with generic smiley faces.

Wow, that's a beaut! I love the cockpit/canopy. Nice to see some neo-CS in colour schemes other than blue/trans-yellow, btw. ;)

Could this be a classical revival? F-SPACE @ LEGO IDEAS
DPrime replied to James Mathis's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
You know, I hate to say it, but every time I see "F-Space" I can't help but read it a certain way... I think you know where I'm going with on this. :) Nice designs, though. -
Really cool! I love the base you created, too.

The red box might fall under "parody", though, no? I'm no lawyer, though...

Is the CS logo not trademarked by Lego? Bit too much for me (design, not price). I think I'd only go so far as wearing a t-shirt, myself. :)

I really think you've succeeded here. It totally feels like a logical continuation of Classic Space - Futuron - Space Police - Ice Planet, etc. I would definitely buy this line! Yup, exactly! I have to admit, the helmet doesn't quite work for me either but I see what you're going for. Probably needs a new piece there.

Very nice - the turret really does give it an old Soviet feel!
-
^ I would totally buy that. For my girls, of course! ;)

Cool - I will, when I play with them. Mostly towers and such. Never took pics though!

As Danth said, stick a CS logo on 'em and I'd be happy. I don't even care if they're blue and grey at this point!
-
Agreed. They might be able to get away with a relaunch after the movie sequel, though, assuming Benny and his pals are in it. I sell old toys at a local show and had a bunch of old Classic Spacemen in varied condition - this was a few weeks after the movie came out, and the kids went gaga for them. Seems to me that Classic Space isn't just for AFOLs anymore. :)

Are you a collector, MODer, or MOCer?
DPrime replied to Paul B Technic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm more of a collector, mainly vintage Classic Space. I do a bit of MOC'ing when I can, but I've got a 2 1/2 and 1 year old at home, so there's not much time for that stuff. :) -
Even so, there has been a fairly consistent presence of space-themed sets since the mid-'70s. Lego might take a break, but I don't think we've seen the end of them.
-
Love it from the front! From the back I can't help but see a couple minifigs hanging off his shoulders, though. ;)
-
Are we sure there's nothing left to announce? I guess no big deal if true. I'm still collecting the old CS sets after all... guess I'll just continue doing that until a CS reboot happens. :)

Was there some kind of news I missed?
-
Cool idea, but I believe I mentioned in another thread that it would be great to include a Classic Space speeder as well! Honestly, it feels somewhat incomplete without it, and might garner more support. A full one 8-racer set would be awesome, with Space Police, Futuron, Insectoids, and maybe Galaxy Squad too!

How important is it for you to write "LEGO" vs Lego?
DPrime replied to DPrime's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This is essentially my position. BrickG, I really liked your posts! Good to put things into perspective... -
The addition of the dish looks great! Very Classic Space. :)

It's temporarily out of stock in Canada, too. Wonder if it's a regional thing...

Quite possibly, yes! :)

This will be something I buy to keep for the kids, when they get older. :)

Got around to building mine today, pretty cool little build. Fits right in with the old stuff, imo.

Yeah... Bricklink as a historical source for this sort of thing has always seemed a bit suspect to me. But no, it couldn't have been immediate. :)
