  1. Make rear edge vertical. You have to use pictures for reference. But do not necessarily stick to them for every aspect of the ship. Sometimes, you have to make some details different for the model to look better in Lego bricks. I think you have to rework the section behind the cockpit. It must be more massive, and you have to put more flow in it.
  2. I can see how you got some inspiration from my model. It is a good start. I would suggest to make it thicker, though. Add 1 plate below the white slopes 4x1 curved. For the fins, I am also not sure that plate 2x6 with round corner and plate 3x3 cut corner are a good idea. Front wedge need to be more vertical (use wing 3x2 or 4x2). At this size, I think you can do the underside with tubes outside. That would simplify the whole built a lot. Make the red thing behind the windscreen 5 studs wide. With 4L wide, it is too narrow.
  3. Nice buildings, cool details. I love it !
  4. +1 with Erik. I was doing the same comparison with 42039 that I consider to be a very meh model. And this one seems even worse. Technically poor, and not so good looking. Hell, how is it possible to release a set with such wheel arches in 2018 ? T_T
  5. Thank you for your feedback. ;) I am glad you like my design. :)
  6. Nice model AND nice build. Maybe you can use plate 1x1 with hole and a bar to strenghten a bit the engines.

  8. Great design, great details. Bravo ! Regarding the bottom wings, I can see you used mini turntable. But how did you connect the brick 2x2 to the structure ?
  9. These wheel arches... Kill me now.
  10. Some car paint. Once the hue is ok, any type of spray paint is ok. Well, that's how I do...
  11. Yeah. There are some parts you won't find in the right colors, cause they don't exist. Macaroni 4x4 dark red, big curved slopes white, wedge 3x10 dark red. If the part doesn't exist, then it is painted. I guess it is less than 5 refs.
  12. Yep.
  13. I got mine in light bluish gray. Slope 2x1 curved is now available in dark red.
  14. Not at all. 16/t/16t at a 90° angle wont work. You have to use bevel gears. You also have to avoid 8t. Too much torque here for 8t. Worm gear is a nice idea, but with 24t. 24t/16 implies an half stud offset which make the construction less strong. You have to look to 7191 and 10240 (and as many Technic set as you can) to get some Technic knowledge.
  15. Note that with current design, engines will go off because of torque as they are only attached by pins. You must use some transversal structure (have a look to 10212).
  16. It is certainely better. Replace 12 simple bevel by 12 double bevel. They are stronger when they have to deal with high torque.
  17. Tiles add an extra texture/variation to the wings, which is not a bad thing in my opinion. And of course, it enables the R2 unit to rotate properly. I also didn't want to put the turntable IN the wings. I wanted to keep the plate 6x6 LBG to maintain the integrity of the build.
  18. That one must be tricky to do with Lego bricks. :o Thanks. I have to say that I quite like the cockpit how it is. I can't think of any possibility to make it in a different way. Regarding the shoulders of R2, this is something I considered. But I didn't includ it for 2 reasons. First, they are located diagonally on the real Jedi Interceptor, which doesn't fit with the studs on the wings. Second, if I add mini slopes to reproduce the shoulders, they will appear to be too high. Indeed, the shoulders are partially in the thickness of the wing. See picture.
  19. So many 8t in line ? T_T When was the last time you built a Technic set ? Oo
  20. It's like Eurovision. :O Thank you so much for the amazing show ! Here are the points I assign : 20: 10 2: 6 9: 4 8: 3 12: 2 23: 1
  21. I have always considered those scale questions very irrelevant. Why different ships should have the same scale ? They have to meet different requirement, building techniques, uses specific parts, etc. Two ships have generally different challenges, hence different scales. Whatever. You are lucky with this one. By a happy accident, my Jedi Interceptors are exactly the same scale as 10215. They are 1:17.
  22. Thank you all for your messages. :) It is cool you like the cockpit. Cause it was not an easy part. :) I will post a message here the day it is ready. Well, back in 2010, 10215 didn't sell that well. So no matter how cool a Jedi Interceptor can be, I am not sure TLG will release such a product some day... Not to mention that 1 set with both fighters would do a 2,100 part set. And probably a 250€ MSRP. That is quite a lot for 2 ships which are virtually identical. Reproducing them as MOC is much more expensive, though. There is a lot to do with prequel movies. And smaller ships/vehicle are what I do for some time : UCS AAT, UCS Hailfire Droid, UCS Sith Infiltrator, and now UCS Jedi Interceptor. I have to say that I had a lot of fun doing these designs. :)
  23. Thank you guys. :) The long wedges on the cockpit, and dark red 2x2 wing plates. Control panels, levers, etc. and seat with armrests and head support. And the view in the front is not obstructed by any part. UCS Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor by Anio, sur Flickr
  24. Hi ! It's been 2 years since I did my last UCS creation. Quite a long time ! Here is my new UCS model : a UCS Jedi Interceptor. And as it is yellow, it is Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor. :) UCS Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor by Anio, on Flickr I wanted to do that starfighter for a very long time. Maybe when 10215 was released... But the Jedi Interceptor is not easy to make with Lego bricks. I struggled a lot to do the wings right. Especially the foldable wings. They had to make one when fold, and have appropriate stops when unfold. When the wings were designed, then I did the cockpit. And I think I got a bit lucky to get something as close to the real starfighter, as the shape of a Jedi Interceptor is really tricky to make with Lego bricks. I think I ended with a build with a nice flow. And by luck, DBG areas match more or less the metal reinforcement on the windscreen of the real ship. A few more pictures. UCS Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor by Anio, on Flickr UCS Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor by Anio, on Flickr UCS Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor by Anio, on Flickr I am really happy with the final result. I succeed in including all the details I wanted. I think the shape of the model is also very accurate, etc. Of course, as you can expect from most of my MOCs, the model is modular. Here are some more informations about the model : - About 1,050 elements - 33 cm long - modular design - as many printed parts as possible, for better details - some parts had to be painted for the dark red version. They will be switched ASAP. - foldable wings. With locking mechanism for the lower wings as friction was not enough. I wish Lego were producing a plate 1x1 with clips on 2 sides. - full interior with cockpit, seat, etc etc - easy removable windscreen - and of course the UCS display sticker I hope Frousmoul and I will be able to release some instruction for the model. Oh, one more thing. Before you even suggest it, I did Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Interceptor too. :) UCS Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Interceptor by Anio, on Flickr Hope you like it ! 25. Mine is "minifig scaled".
