I've never seen a mosaic with lighting before. It looks really cool. The mosaic itself is impressive too.

Very impressive. I like how it's only partially colored.

Lego Creator Expert 10234 Sydney Opera House

This set is truly amazing. I guess this will be another set I'll buy but can't build due the lack of space to display it like the tower bridge.- 127 replies

How Not to Get Killed: A Guide for New Adventurers, Tip #7
Trance89 replied to Nightstalker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for the tip! I'm looking foreward to see more. I think that's because potions in RPG's aren't always expensive and you'll find a lot of money or sellable items while looting to buy them. (Don't forget the amount of poitions you'll find while looting) Or you can simply craft them. RPG's aren't very 'realistic' compared to how it would be in real life. -
I've just read trough the whole story and it's really interesting. I look forward seeing more. Apart from the great builds and the mix of many fairytales I like how Alice (almost) always holds food or drinks in her hand. The big amount of stuffed animals around the bed is really funny too.

That's what I said. I said that It would be more interesting for MOC'ers if there were more light yellow bricks instead of the large bricks and panels. The color was what caught my attention but the lack of 2x2 and 2x4 (and no 1x1) bricks in this color was a let down after I saw the parts. also didn't say anything about an interesting build. A set can still look nice and can even have an interesting build with all these large bricks and panels though. And they can still contain interesting parts even if there aren't many and (most of) the rest of the parts average or useless.

Thanks for blogging I really appreciate it. Actually I'm kind of honored that someone allready blogs/posts one of my things on an other website so soon after I joined the online community.

The light yellow caught my attention. Too bad you only get a few 1x2 and 1x4 bricks. It certainly would have made this set more interesting for MOC'ers if there were more of these instead of the large 1x1x5, 1x2x5 bricks and the 1x6x5 panels. Nice set and review though.

Review: 79006 Council of Elrond
Trance89 replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice review. I really like this set. It has a lot of usefull parts. I allready own one copy but I ordered another one today. Has anyone noticed Lego shows a brick separator on the image in their webshop? Not that I care because I hink it shouldn't be in smaller sets so you don't get a ****load of brick separators. But still it shouldn't on be picture when there isn't one in the set. I think there was one on the picture of the Wizard battle as well but they probably removed it. -
Awesome! If this was an official set. I'd buy it.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! Thanks! I've posted a link of this topic in the topic you mentioned. Lops? I searched that on google but only found people with Lops as last name and some fluffy bunnies.

Here is a link to a small tree tutorial I made today.

There isn't a set I regret for not buying. It could've been the Tower Bridge because I really wanted it but didn't have room to place it (and if I buy a set for display I really want to build it). I bought this set about a month ago and it's still in the box. I'm glad I've bought it for the original price (well, even a bit cheaper) and could get it before it won't be produced anymore. Currently I have the same problem with the Horizon Express. I don't think the price isn't really a thing but I think just one set isn't enough. I fels like the train isn't complete while two sets would make a complete train but the price will also be twice as much. Decissions decissions...

This is a tutorial I made for creating small trees. I wasn't quite sure if I had to post it here or maybe in the Town sub forum (or somewhere else?) or if this technique is known allready. But still: enjoy! Parts list: This is the parts list. You will need more of most of them of course. - 6L bar - 1x1 round brick - Sea weed plant - 6x5 leaves - 4x3 leaves Step 1: Add a 1x1 round brick at the bottom of the bar. Step 2: Add 5 more 1x1 round bricks around the bar. Step 3: Add a '6x4 leaves' on top of the 1x1 round bricks and the 'sea weed' plant on top of the leaves. Step 4: Add some leaves on the sea weed. Step 5: And some more untill the sea weed is filled. Step 6: Because the tree looks too open with leaves only placed on the sea weed you can add more leaves on top of the other leaves. The result: Finally the tree is finished and ready to be placed in a Lego city or other MOCs. I hope you like it. ~Trance89

79005 - The wizard battle 79006 - The council of Elrond 75022 - Mandalorian speeder 8293 - Power functions motor set Now I'll have to wait untill they arrive. I guess that will be tomorrow.

The set looks amazing. I like the snot techniques used on the trees and the amount of details and figures. Only con in this set are tree logs. If they meant to cruch an AT-ST like in the movie than the are placed very low. Now they can only cruch the speederbike or a mini AT-ST. Isn't the Han Solo figure the same as the one in the A-wing set? Not really hard to find in my opinion then.

[MOC] Triumph of the Red Knight or The Black Knight's Demise
Trance89 replied to Digger1221's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Pretty cool technique. I might try that sometime. I like the MOC itself as well. The posing of both knights and the crowd is what makes the scene feel alive. -
Brilliant stone work! I love how detailed this MOC is. The foliage around it really adds to the atmosphere.

Lucky you for getting this set for free. I think this set doesn't look too bad after all. It has a good atmosphere and some nice details. I like the new Yoda and his olive green color. Sean Connery Count Dooku is easily recognisable and Poggle the Lesser looks very well detailed. However i can see this set will be too expensive.

How Not to Get Killed: A Guide for New Adventurers- Tip #2
Trance89 replied to Nightstalker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Both tips are funny but this one is the best one of the two. Especially when the details about the unicorn were given. I hope you'll post new ones soon. I'd love to see a bandit trying to rob an old man who actually appears to be an excellent knight or powerfull wizard. -
I think this might be the best well I've seen yet. The stone work and the bottom half of the roof look great. I also like the use of different colors.
-
Amazing work! I like te color combination and all the details. Personally I like the antennas too. It's feels like they're giving extra support to the guns on the sides.
-
I'm a big fan of the 'a song of ice and fire' books and the Game of Thrones series. This is quite impressive. The wall and Castle Black are epic! I really like the stone work of Castle Black. Winterfell looks amazing too and the Frey's Twin Towers is a nice touch. The landcaping is amazing too. Especially around Castle Black.
-
Nice MOC! I really like the towers' stone work. The color combination looks very good. The swamp (It's a swamp isn't it?) is also a great and beautifull touch.
