  1. Damn! You beat me to using blue as soil colour! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous build! Can't say that enough! The foliage is delightful, the alien is viscious! The scene is just superb! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. Looks like Bob has some work to do adding people to our conversation board! (he's a busy man!) PM me if you want advice on where to build in the interim. Hopefully he adds you soon, but if you want to plan your build for this week now, you can always ask me, or another of Octan's crew (particularly those who have been highly participatory) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. Bribe bag was a Mantis exclusive item for people who joined them in the 2nd or 3rd week that granted the joiners 3 builds worth of benefits. No need to worry, you didn't miss any parties! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  4. //I, Dr. Danielle Long, would like to donate my entire salary of 53 credits to Bob, as a bribe for the 5. Dr. Long out.// Wonderful backstory! Great to see you here! I can't wait to see your builds! Octan'll do its best to support your quest for vengeance against Farvin... after all... he stole our Credits! One note: a freebuild cannot be set on a planet that Octan does not either control or control a planet adjacent to (that includes competition builds), so I recommend taking the pictures, and featuring them as like a "meanwhile on Torresta" type thing for (or a prequil to) another build set on a planet Octan can build on. If you want help choosing where to build, PM me or anyone else on the team until we get you added to the group PM. Can't wait to see it! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. Excellent! Dr. Long is very pleased to see another Scientist on the crew! All you need now is a name for your ID card and you're good to go! Alright! Welcome to Octan, where business is pleasure! Actually, Octan holds business-space diversity meetings on a bimonthly basis, during which we discuss the merits of incorporating certain nouns into our list of "approved words for a harmonious and efficient work environment." Just last month, we chose to welcome "Honour" into our list of approved words. So, technically, we do have honour. As of last month's meeting. It's all rather recent stuff though, so I can see how you'd be confused. I personally lobbied for the inclusion of "REDACTED" into our list, but unfortunately, it was beaten out by "Honour," "Monday," "Blue," and "Hope." What a pity. ~Dr. Long
  6. Transferring all our credits to Bob is completely optional! A lot of us choose to, but you can absolutely keep all the Credits you earn and there's no guilt involved. You'll see more when you join us, but every kind of person is welcome at Octan. We have roleplayers, strategy buffs, Science nerds, ship-junkies, and people who just want to have fun! (often those overlap a lot.) Messy people are certainly welcome! Just try to avoid Dr. Long on her Lab Inspections! And of course we have a nice 401K plan, and dental! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  7. You can ABSOLUTELY join Octancorp! No logo required! (None of the other corps have "purist" logos, either!) Octan is always hiring, and we offer dental! can't wait to see your builds! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  8. Octan achieved its goal of drawing a phallus on the map. That is all. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  9. Ooh! I will definitely be needing that Fly... And the gargoyle! Just from that "hat" piece, I know I'll be getting multiples. The trans grey hair is fascinating! I wonder how it'll be used! Overall, I'm loving this! It's not my favorite line-up yet, but it's got some good parts! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  10. Love that drone! This is, once again, an elegant, delightful build from you! You really capture the anime-esque feel that I associate most with Kawashita in all your builds! Well done! The scenery is great too! good rockwork! The colour choices are Excellent! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  11. Lively shaping and conception! I love the use of binoculars as guns! I especially like the use of the door panels on the back in the shaping! Good job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  12. "Thank you." Stated the druid in the iron helmet. "There are those who wear this attire out of pride and allegiance: those who look up to that ancient fallen being. I am not one of them. This mask is not a symbol of devotion, but rather, a burden I must bear. My devotion lies only with Sylvania, I worship none other than my godess." His voice sounded old and tired, but when he spoke his godess' name, Annienal could hear the love on his voice, and knew he was telling the truth.
  13. Ugh. That's unfortunate. I've never heard that term myself, but Lego should certainly change the description if they can. I bet no one checked to see if the term had any negative double meanings when they were concocting his "funny" profile. As for Mixels, at first I was skeptical, but now I must say this is a wonderful line! Excellent for pieces! My brother and I love them, and some of the designs are actually quite inspired and good looking in their own rights! (And did I mention how great they are for pieces?) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  14. Thanks! In response to your reply in Bob's build: I may have let my plans to do something with my scorpion collection slip to some other Octan builders this week. Thanks! I'll admit, I was feeling that too while building it! and thanks for noticing the scary aspect I was trying to convey. Comedic sociopathy aside, this scene is terrifying for the soldiers, and even Dr. Long. She was not expecting this, and she doesn't work with human beings all that often either. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  15. Welcome to Octan Corp, colleague! A lovely way to start your stay with us! I love the ship design, and you set it into Microscale very well! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  16. Surprise! Sylph was Savato was Sylph the whole time!

  17. I'm surprised I'm the first to share it... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  19. Damnit! I told you not to give it away! Years of developing this character wasted! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  20. Endgame does actually know Sylph's backstory... he knows more about Sylph than anyone but myself, infact, due to private talks with the Regret. Flipz comes in a close second. He pays way too much attention to things... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  21. Sylph was caught off guard by the astute question. He turned back to the timid knight, emotionless in stance. "I-" he began, "No. No, I am not affiliated with those... fanatics.... not really." He faltered once more. The intelligent Annienal could tell he was thinking how he should respond. "There exists a little known sect among druidic circles... those who pay homage to an ancient figure known as the Dark Druid. He fought against the heroes who founded Heroica during the Orc invasion of Ennon... he... held certain beliefs... that resonate with some of the more... cynical of druids. Even now there are those who affiliate themselves with this figure's belief system... and they are wrong to do so. The Dark Druid was a fool, and those who follow his beliefs are even more foolish. That his beliefs have even a small following among those who love nature does upset me greatly..." He stopped once more. His voice was sad, heartbroken in fact... guilty even. "As for our similar attire... well... I don't suppose you'd believe me if I called it a coincidence?..." He asked, a tinge of regret in his voice. "Even... if I asked you to?"
  22. This is a lovely build! Those knights look just as surprised as the aliens! Haha! Lovely! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  23. "No worries." Stated the Druid simply.
