  1. Is this legally binding? Can I actually make decisions in his stead considering he A. Already gave private approval of the decision I'd be making, and B. In the Octan private thread gave me permission to do so? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. I think you want "no." You mean they should be calculated in order, as opposed to after all points are tallied, which would be a "yes" to the rule change. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. For the first rule I thought that'that's how it already worked, and that seems most fair to me, personally. Otherwise that rule is ripe for abuse, as it was suggested Mantis do to Gueniveir. It should rely on which team builds better (or for a longer period of time, sneaky Mantis! ), and not who posts their builds first. Number two is more of a change in my opinion. I think loss of control at 0 do makes Alien builds more strategically viable, and makes sense. Also I like it thematically too. Like, come on, who doesn't want to watch an Alien rebellion overthrow the oppressive imperialist company that conquered them? Avatar? Battle for Terra? This is a great trope. 3 is a resounding nope. I don't see why that should be changed. I mean.... there's a piece of equiptment specifically designed to produce unchained colonies. Why mess with that? All and all, Bob, Lady K, Narbilu, you've all done a fantastic job on game creation, and judging, and you really deserve a round of apple sauce, and like medals and shit! Great job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  4. Hey, I only know for sure because I asked in the first week! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. An alien build can be placed on any planet. It does not have to be sentient alien life. I believe the "Alien activity" refers to Sentient alien life. Any planet could have sentient alien life, however, if said life uses space travel. All planets have flora and fauna. Does that help? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. Answer to first question is no: Once dominated, a planet is dominated until it is taken over by another Corp. (not sure if that applies to being taken all the way down to 0 DP, but I'm sure that's not relevant at the moment.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  7. Octan funded dick drawing shill

  8. Oh my gosh! We'll aren't you the cutest little furry critter I've ever seen?! looks like we've got ourselves a fabulous little wildcard on the table now! D'awww. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  9. Hey... Octan is very protective of its genitals. Besides there's nothing nefarious afoot! We're "nice" ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  10. Draws dicks on maps.

  11. @everyone: Octan has no strategy. We just want to draw genitals on the board. Isn't it beautiful? H03 was a huge asset in terms of completing that objective. Now that we've done that, we honestly have no idea what we'we're going to do next. Probably nothing. We're probably done. Yes. Nothing to see there. Go back to your homes... _. ___ ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  12. Thanks! I love writing them. I'm a huge fan of world building (and homages to great sci-fi). Trooper 1 was disobedient and did not collect my samples quick enough, and Trooper 2 was too obedient.... and both forgot to fill out their next of kin information... Thanks! Thanks! It is quite large. and you certainly chose the right faction if your favorite colour is red. That is one of our three colours! Thanks!!! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  13. //I, Dr. Danielle Long, would like to transfer 63 credits to Bob. Lord Business giveth and Lord Business taketh away.// ~Dr. Long
  14. I love that ship, I love that terrain, I Love the story with the little morbid rhyme, but what I especially love is that you matched the control panel to the outside terrain flawlessly! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  15. Octan Octonaut! Great job! I love how circular it is! Great job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  16. Gorgeous module, Wick! You're a true engineer! That's a very sci-fi building you've made! The angles and everything are great! It's a wonderful outpost! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  17. Love this!~ Great idea! Great build! Great story! You've got it all! Love the characterization here (I suspect he and Dr. Long would not get along well. ) The habitat's integration to its surroundings is probably my favorite aspect of the build. The cliff face is lovely (that shift in colour half way through is great) and the earthship is really supurb! I'm really pleased to see some Sci-fi habitats! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. Lovely little speeder! Great idea with the big honking engine in the back! It certainly adds to the overall aesthetic! great job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  19. Excellent little build! Well done! Keep up the good work! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  20. That is a fierce ship. very fierce. Would not want to tangle with that! I love the panels and everything about the ship! The shaping! The engines! The cockpit! Excellent build! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  21. I really like this little build! It's got some great stuff going for it! I especially like the unikitty tail fish! If you have the time, I'd try making a brickbuilt "shark" alien or something, since the rules say they favor brickbuilt. Just a suggestion though. Lovely build! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  22. What a lovely, lonely story. I love the isolation here. Very deep. Excellent characterization. The build is, of course, excellent! The greebles are beautiful, the ship's shape is gorgeous, and the cockpit idea is innovative and cool! Great job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  23. Love that rock face, and I love that cracked earth. The rock face is particularly nice. I'm no geologist, but I know I've seen rock faces like that IRL. Great job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  24. Gorgeous build Pombe! I love your misadventures! Every story is so well devised and clever! I love the running gags you've thrown in (Dr. Long and her obsession with a neat and orderly work environment, and incessant tattling to HR, for instance.) I also love how you include so many of our members! The build is wonderful too: I don't mean to suggest that it's overshadowed by the story. The details on the snowy footprints are particularly well done, but I also love how you've captured how snow builds up bellow vertical rockfaces. Great work there! Also the "Alien" is adorable! You better run too! ..... But more importantly record your observations and collect samples that can be retrieved from your corpse... I mean... You are a valued employee of Octan. Octan cares deeply about the well being of its employees. You are not worthless. We have arrived at an exact monetary figure to quantify your worth. Like the clockwork that runs her cold but beating heart. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  25. You better believe they do! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
