  1. Seems like this topic can get the old padlock, then.
  2. There's a reason we don't allow brand new members to post in the Buy/Sell/Trade section. This is not a board for people to sell their stuff. Phone number has been deleted and this topic is locked.
  3. The problem isn't where the New Republic came from, it's what the heck they do (which seems to be: nothing).I think you get A New Hope pretty fast, even watching it for the first time - an evil oppressive government rules everything, and a rebel organization fights them. In Force Awakens, it's much more muddled - an oppressive organization exists with seemingly free reign to do whatever they want, besides for a rebel organization that fights them and is supported by a central government that doesn't seem to matter. Also, nobody bats much on an eye when ALL of the government's home worlds get obliterated. Maybe I missed something, but on first watching the dynamic between the Resistance and the New Republic and the First Order didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Another issue was that their was no dramatic story buildup to the First Order using the superweapon. They just go - hey, we're mad, let's blow all that crap up I guess. And then the Resistance goes - oh crap, we'll all die, let's blow their thing up I guess. All the drama was focused on the characters and not these events that should have massive repercussions in the universe.
  4. Basically they just had this 'Republic' in there to sort of show that something had happened in the last thirty years, but it was so thin and easy to erase so they could get back to the Rebels vs Empire status quo.
  5. This was such a retread, I don't understand why anybody thought this was a good idea. New Star Wars was a chance to do something 'new,' but instead it's just evil Empire vs Rebels all over again. What the hell happened to the new Republic? Who is governing everything once they all get blown up? Every planet for itself, or the whole galaxy is ruled by localized thugs and crime lords? The old EU version of events post Jedi made much more sense. I liked the new characters, don't get me wrong, but the movie didn't feel complete. When a movie leaves you dying to see more because nothing gets wrapped up in this one, that ain't good. Plus the score was very underwhelming. No great new theme music.
  6. HEY All this talk that is not about LEGO needs to stop right now. No more. Minimodding also doesn't belong here. If you know something is off-topic and even state as much, then you shouldn't have continued the discussion yourself. Use the report button and carry on.
  7. Incorrect spelling? Where?
  8. Though it's on the same base footprint as the other two skylines, the NYC one has 598 pieces - more than double the others. There's no way that should be $30.
  9. I think you're just seeing these in trans-clear:
  10. I love all of Hulk. His aesthetic really clicks. Spidey's face is great - replicates some of the comics/animated shows well. His torso design isn't doing it for me, and I can't exactly put my finger on why not. Perhaps the blue sections are just too large. Goblin is cute but I don't love the face. Again, I don't know why, just doesn't seem perfect.
  11. But, but… where's her chest? Actually though, unless she's supposed to be a child, which would make the typical 'curves' printing out of place, the complete lack of boob-printing is weird. Either LEGO should've ditched the curves, or added a little chest.
  12. While I think you are complimenting Hass Kabal and I understand why you wrote in Turkish, please note that since this is an English-language forum we do require all posts to be in English. Thanks.I let Frontpaging the finished thing get pushed back by some of the recent new reviews, but I'm glad I did as those new photos and 'box-art' are just epic! I will get this on the Frontpage very soon. Good luck with Ideas, though stuff based on current LEGO Licenses never fares well unfortunately.
  13. Yes, I know (even mentioned Ninjago in my post). I said 'not officially around yet' because neither of those minifigures have been released. That's why I think it's a sign that this White Tiger figure is an official one that will be released, because Tt Games developers wouldn't have used a new piece that isn't even yet available unless LEGO told them to. Just guessing, but it makes sense to me.
  14. This post contains the list and the source. I will add it to the first post in some form, but I have (some) reason to believe that it's not true so I hope people take it with a BIG grain of salt.
  15. From our own member Kaanere in the video game discussion down in LEGO Gaming & Media: I'm pretty sure we'll get her in that form. The fact that the game developers have used that new flowing hair piece that isn't even officially around yet is a good sign. (I know people were saying it's the Aurra Sing hair piece, but the Ninjago pictures make it look more horizontal than hers. Am I wrong?)
  16. Exactly why I, for one, can't stomach buying many of these figures anymore for the price tag. Four bucks is a lot to pay when you just want some legs or a head. The farmer for me is a favorite and one I'll probably buy. I like all of his components separately and also together. Even if the colors end up not matching, you can always swap for ones that do one way or another. I don't get the hate, but different strokes. I certainly don't like a lot of figures that other people clamor over.
  17. Everybody posting fake lists is verging on spam. Stop. Now.
  18. Wow, you're absolutely right! I did a cursory look on Bricklink just now and it seems like all the character tags are around 5 bucks or less, even the ones that unlock whole extra levels and worlds. That's crazy, but in a great way for people that just want to play the game!
  19. This list strikes me as about half true and half false. I don't know how that could have happened, but plenty of characters are obvious shoe-ins so it's possible they got lucky with guessing.
  20. Oh god, not that stupid Batman figure back again. Can we just stop talking about it? There's really nothing new to say now - it's the same arguments over and over and over and then people siding 'real' or 'fake.'
  21. If LEGO was going to give Thanos the Infinity Gauntlet, they wouldn't leave it out of all pictures, especially the front of box picture where they would add some digital light effects around his hand. It's really not something they'd leave for some part of him facing away from the camera at all times, which is why I think it's safe to assume he doesn't have it.
  22. Yes, that spoiler part has been around for a few years.
  23. Cap not being an 'official Avenger' during Civil War doesn't even count as speculation IMO - it's pretty much shown right in the trailer that Cap doesn't want to be part of the official government-organization Avengers. I wonder if they'll explain in the movie where/how he gets the logo-less suit, if that's a thing that happens.
  24. Need I remind anyone of this? The Avenjet might not be the sleekest thing, but it's a far cry from 'worst Superhero set design.'
