I’d love to see those photos as Bugatti don’t make RHD Chirons. The only ones I can find are flipped photos (the EB on the steering wheel being a reflection). @agrof - you took my comments the wrong way. As a professional automotive engineer inventing and developing new things is what I do on a daily basis. What I meant was that with the “UCS” series of cars (and the Land Rover) a lot of the Mods on here have been to improve their quality and make them more realistic. That’s why I questioned making a RHD version of a car that doesn’t exist in that form. as to converting a car from LHD to RHD In the real world it’s a lot harder than people often think. im going to quit this thread now. sorry for offending anyone, see you all in the next competition thread

I came to that conclusion for that reason you said. Most people have MODded the Chiron and Porsche to improve it, fix the gears, suspension etc. Converting it to RHD only takes it away from representing the real car. But that’s just my opinion as I’m passionate about cars and work in the industry, I didn’t mean to offend anyone.

I’m just hoping @Jim comes up with something soon. The U.K. is on proper “lock down” now. -

If they’re still planning to release it this year is there a hope that the engine is under the hood (using the American term) and not where the back seats should be like in the set photo of F9 charger. doing Dom’s more classic charger from the earlier films with the big blower would be great -

Do we think the helmets have printed pieces or stickers ? as to following waves I’m hoping for more original trilogy. Scout Trooper is my favourite helmet of the whole series. A royal guard and Boussh could give a trilogy for RotJ. I think there are lots of options TLG could do, the only issue would be how to tackle open face helmets like the ones the Rebels/Rebellion use -

We did a C model contest a while back but everyone could chose what set they worked from. The obvious thing is @Jim won't be able to please everyone ... it's impossible ! -

Just to add something in. We should consider a competition where the majority of people can enter based upon the parts they have. BrickLink sellers might not be able to get to post offices in their respective countries as governments impose restrictions. -

@T Lego - but I would ban replicas of actual cars and make it about coming up with something original. -

I’m in agreement for limiting wheel rim diameter but not the tyres or width. also as I previously said a box length and width to fit within (perhaps based on the car transporter or corvette) but not too big a constraint on the height? -

1:8 and 1:10 scale are large I’d propose an open “design a car” competition based on the length and width of the corvette. Non powered and to come up with original designs as often people will then vote on real world cars they like. -

I’m up for a small scale car completion. Something the size of the Corvette or the new stunt team set. We could give a defined box for it to fit into - length, width and perhaps height. And then come up with a new car for the range. if we do start can we start perhaps April ... I’m very busy sorting out what’s happening at work as you can hopefully appreciate -

Yes I’d agree I’d expect any sets linked to any films to move with the film. The set that may end up being oddly placed will be the Marvel Black Widow set which is already available in the U.K. and I can see the film moving from its beginning of May slot in the cinemas here. Remember the most important thing in any of this is for everyone to be safe and healthy. We can all wait for a few pieces of plastic. -

As someone in the 40-50 age bracket I quite like the helmet sets and looking forward to seeing the Tie pilot too, in my mind a very classic design. IMO if you’re going to start any new Star Wars theme aimed at adults you’d start with the original trilogy. also a lot of people I work with (ranging from mid-20s to 50s) are I to Lego but not massively like us on this forum and they would definitely buy this sort of thing as to them a minifig is a childish thing (not me I love the little people). I’m loving the razors crest model ... just need Disney+ to start here in a couple of weeks time -

Having seen the new official photos I’m liking the stormtrooper more, but I still like boba too. In the Boba photos it looks like a core structure similar to a brickheadz or the Saturn V. This means making a x-wing pilot helmet more difficult in my opinion. I’m just curious as to what the actual U.K. price is going to be and if the bricks are printed or whether we have the joy of stickers. -
I actually like both of the proposed sets and I’m more curious how long the sub theme would last. If it’s just helmets (by the wording on the box) then I’d expect hopefully future sets being a speeder bike (one of my favourite designs), rebel pilot (would be interesting what they’d do with the visor and interior), royal guard, clone trooper, etc. I’m sure you could come up with 2 per film/tv series. i think the stormtrooper looks a lot better head on judging the image on the side of the box As to comparing to an MOC, that’s always a very unfair comparison. I have a few MOC models and they can be very fragile and also expensive. TLG shouldn’t try to compete against these. Also if they were 1:1 scale it would make a collection harder to display, remember TLG will want you to collect them all.

@Wimmer & @Big Adam - I don’t think any potential Urus owner would be comparing it against a Defender. A Range Rover, but not the Defender it’s a totally different sort and class of vehicle. However I do agree that VW Group does have some products that match JLRs products but then you could do that with lots of car groups in the modern world as often a brand is part of a group of companies. VW Group being a prime example with pretty much a complete offering of whatever you’d like to drive ... VW, Seat (& Cupra), Skoda, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, Ducati, MAN, Scania, VW Commercial. Hard to not find a competitor to VW group when it’s that big! oh and I’m still hoping it’s wrong and we either get the lime green or the old metallic one for the Sian @Jim sorry for straying off topic but I’m sure you understand why
