Whose talking about NINJAGO... thats LEGO product not licensed theme.... I am talking only about licensed themes like SW, LOTR, etc.... You ever saw SW battle pack with ONLY figures and no build? Its apperently even more tight on LOTR considering we see even less... You really think TLG would skip Uruk hai battle pack if contract would allow it... or a Rohan or elvish b-pack it takes 2 hours to design such battle packs and they bring in MASSIVE revenue. I cant be bothered to link you where people talked about contract even LEGO made a response regarding such thing on Cusoo whatever project that reached 10.000 votes... about SW 100 (or 1000) stormtroopers pack... Use google.

They just cannot sell the figure stand alone... it either has to come with some sort of build (remember uruk hai with balista, Gandalf at Dol Goldur, Frodo with cooking corner... it just cannot be only Frodo, or Only Azog, or Only uruk-hai.... They have contract limits... Ofc they can sell figure with something else (game) because contract assumes that is game the main point and figure an addition. Its just like that.... Its also why we never got Uruk-hai battle pack (proper) liek we get Star Wars... because contract forbids such sets...

Its been ''confirmed'' by LEGO manager that Azog wil lcome in a set, but this color in which it was given away at comicon was EXCLUSIVE to that event and in set he ought to be in different color (people expect white or pale)

Maybe you dont agree with them but you still buy LEGO... probably... Also if you ever heared of that thing called CONTRACT which FORBIDS them to sell action figures from licensed sets... so they can give away the fig but cannot sell it. If people only finally realized that problem and contract stuff... I dont care if i didnt get it, I wont buy it for a grand anyway so for me its case closed.... You want to cry, cry to TLC in a mail not to the forum...

Its their item and can give it to whoever they want ... this whining really is starting to get over the top... I never even had a SLIGHT chance to get anything since I live so far away and I NEVER whined... I think some of you expect LEGO MUST give you something. Just cos you buy their toy...

So you want the trebuchets to be as big as half of the city ? lols thats the biggest let down of this project and that is exactly why it does not get my vote also. Not to even start about how the tower looks :P Its about ratio of its own build... It looks ''proper'' size compared to other LEGO sets... the size of the tower compared to the size of structure is correct or atleast semi correct and passable. And its higher than Orthanc which is a must ;)

If Minas Tirith (as a whole) is done in the size of Helm's Deep that might be the biggest disappointment for a long long time of LTOR and LEGO fans alike. Minas Tirith if done as whole must get close to Millenium Falcon and Taj Mahal number of pieces and close to Death Star cost with a good number of 10-14 figures. anything below that for a WHOLE citadel/city would be disappointment. Unless they split it in 3 pieces or 2. Courtyard + white tower and hall of Kings and Gate and grond and some wall and tower with catapults.

Btw when I speak of Minas Tirith Thats what I am talking about... http://geekologie.com/2011/07/now-thats-a-playset-huge-lotr-lego-build.php ok even if its 50% smaller that would be ok... Make it a 1000$ or even 1500$ and id buy it lol

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Alcarin replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
1337 is a synonym for leet 1 = l 3 = e and 7 = t https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet It became more commonly seen and used word with the wide spreading of computer gaming where MMO game (massive multiplayer) and especially games like Call of Duty (FPS) people and young generation started using terminology like lol, noob (n00b) haxor, suxor, and 1337 or leet! leet really represents ELITE. -
Close Thread please!

You had those in Fantasy Castle line some years ago.... only the helmets are a little off for tolkien universe dwarfs rest they are pretty 100% copy of what you need.

While it looks amazing, I have to say it kinda is unfitting for Rohan... I mean Rohan Had little Stone castles or citadels if we exclude Helm's Deep ... -
- Argonath (10xxx) uffff that would be hell of a build... even if we get 1 and instructions for both (that can be built from same set) just buying twice... imagine the epic 2000 structure as D2C set!

A simple answer is NO They might seem more educated because you evaluate them from their field of expertise (LEGO) not from overall. They are just as educated in geography OVERALL as the next guy who collects something else... but they are far superior in 1 segment... that is LEGO education.

Are you going to say the builds are hard??? Helm's Deep was a joke and it was the biggest of LEGO LOTR builds in the line... Orthanc is not harder at all i bet my money. I'll admit i never built 2000+ pieces builds, but did alot of builds in ranges of 600-1000 with a few like Helm's Deep and the 90s builds are ALOT more time consuming than these builds today. anyone arguing otherwise is just attempting to troll :P

Because movies of wizards and dragons all had BRIGHT BLUE on the castle walls (or anything bright for the matter of fact) Its a disturbing element of the build and without it the castle is not 100% complet (as per LEGO instructions) So show me a movie (not a cartoon) that had bright blue walls or parts of wall on fantasy dragons etc... Its fantasy theme allright but that does not mean that everything looks good and we cannot have anything against dumb decisions of developers or designers.

Thats 1, the rest was you were not held hand by instructions all the time... sometimes you had to see the difference in last page build (or picture) compared to this one to not miss something.... now its just a joke...

There is still no news of Hobbit sets right? If those end up as disappointing as LOTR (excluding Orthanc) then my wallet will take a massive rest this year :P
