  1. Sadly, I do remember those sets... They might be a contender for my "first set" but I think the honor is won by the other two sets I mentioned in this thread.
  2. Yes, I really enjoy these protector like figs. The look like villagers who have gone of adventuring, the Brawler in open daylight and the Guardian in the shadows.
  3. I tried to change my avatar recently, but all my photos had big file sizes not accepted by Eurobricks. Worse, it seems my old avatar has disappeared in the process! So in short, how can I change my photos to be the proper file size so I don't wander without an avatar?
  4. Akida includes a stand? Sweat.
  5. Amen. It is kind of ugly by the standards of today, but it still holds out very well. It is still my only Lego X-Wing, and when I finally get around to getting a new one I'll just call this old one a Z-95 with split wings and a droid socket, I'm not going to let it fall to disrepair! Still works. P.S. it was also my first or second Lego set to, so nostalgia!
  6. The model railroading world has entire books on how to assemble display tables and their "benchwork". All of that should be applicable to a Lego display table. Just Google "model railroad benchwork" and you'll find ideas.
  7. What was the workshop like? I'm kind of curious what presentation goes along with a random pile of bricks, and if it ads to the value of the product. Do the participants get to take the bricks home with them too?
  8. I want to say this is the craziest thing I have ever seen. That many unopened Lego boxes should only exist in a store.
  9. I feel very oblivious, I never noticed that these cars only had two wheel bogies! Good attention to detail.
  10. Um no, I don't even have a girlfriend yet, let alone married with kids! :) Apparently the ad service on MOCpages must think I'm a dad though. (Shrug) And the ad service here on Eurobricks must think we are Adult Fans of Megablocks. It's a weird world.
  11. Looks pretty recognizable! Only thing I can think of to improve is lengthening the model by 4 or 6 studs to include 4-wheel bogies and replacing the red slope pieces with a more muted color. Other than those nitpicks the model is spot on.
  12. Haven't seen spam here in a few days: to quote the homeowners in Tucuman Argentina after repealing a motorcycle gang during the police strikes of 2013: "Hemos vencido los ladrones!!!" ("We have beat the thieves!" Get it, Spammers=thieves? Ha ha ha... -dodges tomatoes-) Edit: Update December 10th The Spam is Back! For posterity sake it looks like the author of the spam doesn't know English that well: "It is this, consider not simply the stock from your huge, overall Skin Care brands. (Like Revlon.) There square measure always Associate in Nursing amount of little producers WHO affirm what makes a fair Skin Care thing, who've a bit (however advantageous) working wherever charges square measure safeguarded 'approach down, and whose consideration frameworks square measure less expensive and savvy. perhaps parts higher than the overall models, in an exceedingly style of routes in which." -Spambot Bwhahahahahaha. That sounds like a second grader trying to speak science jargon!
  13. No I don't have Ooni. My other three main Galidor sets are Gorm Deluxe, Euripides, and Jens. Out of the five I own I think Jens stands a chance of being possibly the most decent, since he looks kind of cool. Gorm looks like Makuta Teridax cosplaying as Darth Vader (although Gorm does have the most connection points on him, two for his arms, two for his legs, one in his groin area for his loin cloth thing, one on his rear end, and three on his back), and Euripides looks like a 1950's movie monster alien. I also have a few copies of the Happy Meal toy 4040 Nick and 4043 Gorm which are take bad sets and make them look EVEN WORSE. And yes, I meant 2/5 but then again these sets might deserve the 2/10
  14. If those were not knockoffs, and where official Lego sets we'd have our Gen 2 Jaller, Hahli, Matoro, Kongu, Hewkii, and Onepu right there!
  15. Yes I bought 3 sets near their release. Incredible designs, incredible minifigures; but sadly it was all licencesed with a mediocre box office bomb. :( Lego did better with Lone Ranger than the movie did!
  16. I'm kind off intrigued that he is so gold. Makes me think its a Kingly version of Tahu, with the Gold and the Wings, the creature being like a crown. It is a distinct departure from the red/Gold of 2015; and especially the G1 colors. With that said, I hope 2017 has a significant return to red pieces for Tahu. If we get another gold and trans-orange Tahu again I'll be upset.
  17. Looks good, seems like it would be a fun MOC to have!
  18. I have the 50 states U.S. quarters, a few other U.S. collectible coins, and a set of Argentine Pesos. A goal I have is to build an HO Scale train layout someday, but as of right now I only have four locomotives, and I only get to run them occasionally at a local club layout.
  19. I remember seeing that ad! I don't know if it was here or on another Lego website, but it looks like Megablocks is looking to expand their customer base. I have also been seeing a lot of ads for a Baby Crib on Mocpages lately...
  20. A review of Terak Creature of Earth has shown up on BZPower today! Looks good :)
  21. ^The ball joints in Galidor figures are all based on the technic ratchet joints, so to connect to CCBS it has to be either a loose connection through a pin hole. or a more secure connection through an adapter piece such as this: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=41681&idColor=10#T=C&C=10
  22. It is there, I just removed it for the picture to show the connection on the back of the head! (It can be kind of seen on the first picture with the big group shot). It was actually the ponytail which made me realize that Brickset has Allegra's piece count wrong, since the ponytail bumps it up to 11 pieces.
  23. Definitely find out which prototype you want to model. Seeing that your from England, the British Railways shunting locomotives would be the obvious choice. My personal favorites would be the Class 08 or the Class 04. If you want to try something from another country I know a lot of switch locomotives here in the U.S. that would be interesting too. Some like the RS-4-TC were designed in the U.S. and built so that in the event of WWIII they could be shipped to Britain and France and be used to boost rail traffic. While I don't think any RS-4-TC locomotives actually made it to Europe, a lot of them are still in use (within 30 minutes from my parent's home there are FOUR RS-4-TC's in use by different industries in the valley.)
  24. Yes those do look like Galidor style parts. I just added your comments about Alpha Team and Assasin's comments about Knights Kingdom II to the review. Since those compatibility pieces where introduced they have appeared in Exo-Force, and most recently in 31034 Future Fly and the first (flawed) neck design of Wall-E this year. However all original Galidor parts have been discontinued, and the new parts with the same ratchet joint are built like system bricks. Also Aanchir has reminded me that I really need to read Brick by Brick someday...
  25. I am kind of warming up to the Avenjet though... Being so chunky and so blocky it really is bringing back nostalgia for the Lego Town Space Port sets from the late 90's. I imagine it is the same way some AFOL's felt when they saw Benny's Spaceship; the Avenjet just looks like the stuff that was in stores when I first got into Lego.
