Can you try not to escalate things? I appreciate why you feel the need to shout and rage, but maybe you could try a private message with little maturity and civility and not try and flame things up several hours (And posts) later. Some people want the succinct points and a few cited sources. Others are ok with something akin to an essay, but in a discussion thread, maybe it would be better to post the essay elsewhere with a link shared with a post that rounds up the main points?

Gorgeous build. I think the only thing missing is a nice glass of wine The posing and the shaping techniques are great, the little touches make it special. Thanks for sharing

Hopefully it is straightforward for you . This thread was made when it was a little less user-friendly on Flickr, but these days it has a really great interface.

OK, the site is pretty easy to use for uploading things these days and have their own up to date help section. I f you have an account or make an account, you can start uploading images through drag and drop from your files to their site. The system for editing any captions and tags etc is part of the uploader and straight forward to use. One thing people have problems with is posting images from flickr to Eurobricks, so: Once you have images in your photo-stream, there is a download button. You will find an option to "View all Sizes", select that. It takes you to a page full of different image sizes to choose from. If you click one that is within EB guidelines (I like an 800x500 image size myself) you can copy the image address and paste it into EB for the image to link and appear.

This is sadly an 11 years out of date tutorial! It has been superseded by at least two others on this site since. What problems are you having? I use flickr for my photos so I should be able to help with most issues.

@Jim or @Shadows do you know what is causing this?

I resent the email, check all your folders for it. What is the name of the account you cannot validate? I can resend the email for it.

Officially not a toy anymore
Peppermint_M replied to astral brick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Because it feels comfortable for people, the things they are nostalgic for usually occurred in childhood when (for most people) they had few cares and concerns in the world and were looked after. They didn't have to worry about mortgages and holding down a job, so they desire things that bring back that feeling. (Psychology!) If we get a classic theme revival, I would like a bit more Adventurers than a sticker-sheet and a few rebuilt features in an expensive set! (Also, they got the names wrong in the write-up!) Personally, I think the 18+ is just a way to let those with "issues" about buying toys can now argue that it is a "sophisticated interlocking construction system" and not truly a toy. There are so many sets around now that are collector items; it is likely behind the scale change for Speed Champions even. It is a marketing gimmick. Selling it as something to build as a model and put on display to look interesting. The new Star Wars helmets are certainly "desk pieces", joining the architecture sets to become a "quirky" thing for someone to have on their desk/in their office. As a lifelong LEGO fan, I have never worried about looking odd to the general public, I have been buying LEGO for myself since I earned money! However, this is a great way to get people to buy sets. -
Help with identifying parts/sets!

No problems! Exoforce is one of my favourite themes and I have a fair few of those disks awaiting use in MOCs -

@Jim do you know where the validation email has gone?

Have you checked the Junk or Spam boxes on the e-mails?

Do you want an avatar? Or did you already have one in mind?

Hey @Angeli, do you know which of your tags is missing? I had to remove one as, weirdly, it was not hosted here on EB but on Tinypic, But Tinypic had lost/denied the image so we had the massive placeholder. I had to take it off your profile for now but if you can recall what : http://i65.tinypic.com/2qtehbr.png is, then I can get it fixed

Stupendous and amazing build! Gorgeous details and an overall impressive creation, I hope it rightfully got a lot of admiration when it was on display. You both built a really cool MOC, so thanks for sharing it here

Minidolls... Action Themes Ideas
Peppermint_M replied to Harkonen's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
A lot of girls love fantasy (I mean, I did, so do both my sisters and Disney does well with their fantasy princess worlds) so a Space Fantasy would be a nice move to take. Honestly, I was disappointed as was my sister, that Forces of Destiny never got as far as a LEGO Minidoll theme. -

Custom or cadged from some clone brand, I think is the origin. It is not a LEGO one. It is pretty cool though. -
Help with identifying parts/sets!

Ok, so I looked up torsos with stickers. Torso with a tie, with a sash and with a watch. Not turned up any results! I wonder if it came in one of the Idea books? some of those vintage books had stickers for figures in them. -
Minidolls... Action Themes Ideas
Peppermint_M replied to Harkonen's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
What Digger of Bricks said. If you use the more appealing look taken from "Raygun Gothic" style (Google it), it involves a lot more colour and grandeur than the current popular design in SF. Guardians of the Galaxy has been a much-needed breath of fresh air in that respect. -

A true space opera style minidoll theme would be super. Rayguns and colourful aliens, exploration, maybe a diva of a Space Empress to provide the conflict. A real Raygun Gothic aesthetic with a lot of colour. -
Help with identifying parts/sets!
Peppermint_M replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Glad I could help out. I had a few of the late 90s and early 00s Megabloks sets, so those red cones with the grooves in were a bit of a giveaway. The website I linked to is a great resource for IDing Mega sets if you ever need to. -
