Heads up Euro people! The LEGO City Magazine this month has a foilbag with Jessica Sharpe, the city figure with the cool headband print and useful outfit. There is also a lion cub. So far, there is also a bonus foilbag with a diver themed mini-set. Well worth the £5.99 price.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Yul'Yom Celebration
Peppermint_M replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
Intrigued by the commotion and impressed with the display, Aysu looked at all the varied gifts. "Aw, that is cute! I would like the Balloon please." -
Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall

Cake procured, thankfully without coming into contact with the person Aysu had regretfully not noticed in favour of salvage, the gunner found a table that suited her needs and took a seat. "Hot chocolate and cake. Nearly as good as Mam's!" Aysu chuckled, tying to settle for a while. -
Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall
Peppermint_M replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
"Thanks!" She took the hot drink "I'll go looking, Mr Grumbles probably had a big cake, he deserved one anyway." Aysu smiled and hoped no one would mention bookcases... -
I still like the colours, but changing the scale a little, taking out any of the panels that let the minidolls sit down... Speaking of, the new Mulan/Jasmin princess set has some useful parts for making more MOCs for the crew to explore. Also, the new Hoth rebel minifigs supply some more decent minifig parts for Adventurers. Star Wars is at least a useful source for adventurer suitable minifig parts. Having been really influenced by pulp serials and B-movies as they were.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall
Peppermint_M replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
After working out in the training room, Aysu had hit the showers. The warm water was still very welcome after her time on the ice cold planet. Entering the hall proper, it was time for something tasty. "Hello! I'm back from my latest mission" Aysu grinned and took a barstool. "That planet was freezing! Can I get a cinnamon hot chocolate and something sweet to eat?" -
Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Training Center
Peppermint_M replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
The journey back to the station had been restful for Aysu, after the mission and the excitement of the races. She was ready to train for using her new weapon. Working on her strength, the kickback on a kinetic weapon was something she had to be able to handle. (Expend 1 points to bring Aysu's strength stat to 3) EDIT: Amended stat change/point allocation. -
Aysu has a background, but she is a lot more cheerful in her outlook in life and what it brings. (Hence the Pink'n'sparkles drinks) I wanted someone different to Tesni. Tesni was a great character to play in 1.0, a damaged background coupled quickly with a dark elemental weapon (with a lot of power) let me really dig my teeth into ramping her up. If I had not been ill when I was reaching a real peak of her story (And, to be perfectly honest, really miffed to have missed the final Wren/Zoot Quest as a chance to get some character in) then not able to engage until the real last days of the game, I would have taken her some interesting places. (Maybe I will create an ending for her). Aysu is a very in the moment sort of girl, a sunny attitude and a steady hand with a gun. I have not reached the right circumstances to naturally tell some story for her. Getting to be a crack shot with a lot of power is great for the game, but I need some tighter spots for her to free something deeper. (I really admire how Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex shared The Major's backstory, if anyone else has seen that) It was an enjoyable quest for me. The tundra did make for difficult parsing of the grid at times, but I liked the mix (even if I was still trying to figure out the puzzle solution well after it was solved!) I tried to play into the character I have and the fact she had already been "led" by Enson on a successful mission. But I can see butting heads in future because Aysu does think the best diplomacy is superior firearms. It was pretty cool to be dropping enemies with a few shots. I am still trying to get the measure of characters for Aysu to interact accordingly, it is only her second quest. Everyone put their characters across well and I am getting more used to the system of the game. The NPCs were good, Sigrun was a helpful guide and even if it did not come through, Aysu does like having an experienced adult around for her (She's only just left Mama and Papa after all). All in all, I had a good time and did not feel it was a drag. Thanks

LEGO Ninjago 2021
Peppermint_M replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, there is solid new stuff for next year. -
Looks like you worked it out. Tubes are not moulded the same way as bricks and other parts, these are probably manufactured in the same way any other plastic tube is: Extrusion. Then a very long tube is cut into lengths as required. This probably, but on a much much smaller scale, and like, minus all the drainage stuff...

Yep, it is intentional. We were super completely absolutely fed up of that word back around 2010. Essentially, if people didn't like anything about a set or theme: Be it colour, design, play features or even the whole theme concept? It was "Juniorised" no other argument, no other discussion. People would harp on about it and post it so often and then act like it was the definitive reason to dislike something and anyone else was wrong. So we added it to the filter to try and stop this. To force stop it. EB is a private forum and the Admin at the time could do whatever. Now that the phrase has fallen out of fashion (or been forced out here) it doesn't come up often. Honestly, it is a weird thing to assert. A kids toy is for children? Egads. Staff aren't subject to the filters

Repeating what everyone's said above! Can I also add: the buried and tilting obelisk and the statue are delightful touches. Thanks for sharing something from my eternal favourite theme.

Did you see the rules about Self Promotion for the forum? We're not a billboard for other blogs/sites/articles. A whole thread to direct traffic from the site to another blog is not exactly kosher. -

That is an admin question . There have been many changes to the software but as a moderator, I'm not privy too them, not that I would understand most of it! The IT pros run that side of things. -

Avatar images mostly. Or some LDD files when people used to share those and there wasn't a secure/reliable host for that sort of data. These days we can all go use Rebrickable or somewhere else, but back in the day there wasn't those options. (I feel like a fossil..) -

It is in the site FAQ. While it has been a very long time since I joined, I am sure there were more places it was mentioned also. Also, one of the very clear lines in the New Member Section (from a 2014 thread, 5 years before your sign-up date) is "Eurobricks does not act as an image hosting site" The whole subforum disappears after you make 10 posts, but before that it sits right at the top of the forum index and asks you to "PLEASE READ". I can also guarantee that even if it does have a warning on the uploader, people will still ignore it. As they ignore the many FAQs and help threads that already exist.
