  1. Yuch I really don't like Best Lock, My brother bought a giant spaceship at one point because it was big and cheap. Worst toy ever. I saw some pirates in my local TKMaxx, never cheap enough for me . I get non-lego from Wikinsons and In Store... as they are much cheaper.
  2. Oh I am. I already have part the sentai mounting hanger framework sat waiting for the arrival of one giant robot so I can adjust the size and equipment to suit it. Plus a growing stockpile of brown bricks for walls and such. It's my major project. quick edit for spelling
  3. Will do. The deadline is a while away yet and I am bound to change it a few more times, even if I end up keeping an earlier version. Thanks for the reminder.
  4. Edited: The first version of my fighter, now posted down here. Still a WIP as I am not 100% happy with the booster/jet/engine at the back.
  5. Wow, those are really good quality. I wonder if I can get hold of a set (*to ebay!*). I'm impressed, seems to be more of a competitor brand than a bootleg.
  6. I am certainly going to get some of those. Will anyone post an update as to when these are availiable.
  7. Ok, So I need to buy that one first, unless I see them in shops and buy every set i see. It looks so cool. New civilians are brilliant and that is the best Mecha I have seen (non MOC) in Lego.
  8. Much envy. I am getting the last of the older sets this month.
  9. Like it Another Alpha Team fan Clever interior.
  10. My splurge will be later this week, four large Agents sets that i promised myself if i completed my assignments on time. Then nothing too big (apart from at a discount) until the summer.
  11. /All Edited away due to off topicness/ New Post: So, how am I supposed to make room for such a massive set alongside my giant WIPs? Do we have dimensions?
  12. Hello, hope you enjoy the site. Don't worry about you english, your's is more eloquent than most who have been speaking/writing it as a first language. I can't wait to see some of your castle creations.
  13. Well, I missed a lot of discussion... I miss the surprise, For years my only idea of what was out there was what I saw in the shops, and when I was little the supermarkets didn't sell lego until christmas and Woolworths was a special treat to go to, Toys 'r' Us was legendary (a place I never set foot into until the age of 15). I would buy a handful of impulse sets with my holiday money and pour over the adverts on the back of the instruction sheet, or if I was really lucky, a full double sided sheet with images of that years sets. It was wonderful, now I get to anticipate the sets from prelims and boxart which is good, but the pure joy of finding a new lego theme in that little newsagents in Dartmouth when on holiday has gone. Thank you Eurobricks for trying to maintain the surprise without resorting to full on censorship. (and I like flick fire missiles, but not for their intended use, more as greebles. a few simple alterations and any set with them looks like it never did).
  14. Knights Kingdom. there was a Vladek like figure and a Rascus type figure. the shields had dragons and they nad exo-force sword blads in chrome. They were very cheap and were in a newsagents/beach brik-a-brak shop in Cornwall. I haven't seen them anywhere else.
  15. A few modifications and you'll have the (As far as i know) current comic book incarnation. Red legs, black hips and a black mask you'd have it just like.
  16. Why thank you. I was aiming for a story of some sort, these characters appear in a MOC/viginette to be found in the "Other Themes" section of this site and after my assignments are all handed in for the year I shall be working on telling some small stories.
  17. I dont like how the back contrasts with the front, too open and not as rounded as the rest of it. My alterations have covered it and continued the yellow stripes along a bit better, I've also made the top fin slightly smaller as I wasnt entirely happy with the lipped slope. After these last few modifications the MOC is no longer WIP, now only the information is WIP
  18. Pirates advent calander FTW. The merry go round looks huge. Pirates advent calander FTW. The merry go round looks huge. Great Scoop
  19. I have only once had a problem with PAB or regular sets. In my Agents Mission 6, the light brick's battery had already run out, but then I had bought it from one of those huge discount shops that was selling it along side KKII and those Bionicle playsets. Otherwise everything has been fine. I have bought beaten up boxes that needed taping before I took it home and not one element is damaged/missing. I think if your every order and every set you bought had problems then you could say Lego has quality control problems. And its not a huge issue when lego replaces the missing parts if you let them know they are missing in the first place.
  20. Awesome. That was the biggest set (apart from brick boxes/tubs) I ever had growing up. It was my prized most wonderful set. Lucky you
  21. I have seen KKII figure bootlegs. Apart from dodgy quality plastic and a head that refused to stay on, they were ok. My brother bought one as he missed the official lego ones.
  22. I got my title from my very quick Star Wars Invasion Contest Entry. It's Alpha Team Themed.
  23. Well, I changed the back end of it (Uni assignments really stress me out when the deadline is in five days) and will be posting pictures as soon as I can take them. (Probably Friday or Sunday) and I will also have the name of the ship I had in mind confirmed, my tame storm trooper will be only too happy to bombard me with space ship pictures.
  24. (Images link to MOCpages) Prepare for the invasion! After putting paid to Ogel, Alpha team armed up to fight their next big enemy: The Lumbering Behemoth of a theme that is Star Wars! Cannibalising the sub and several smaller craft, Cam got to work on her magnum opus, The Alpha Fighter. With 360 degrees of rotation from the cockpit and a domed canopy allowing an all vectors view, a quantum singular string drive and dual plasma canons are handy in a battle with rebels or the Empire. Radia hopes to pilot her to victory against the stagnant SF giant. With 205 pieces (not including stand) The Alpha Fighter is a lightweight in nature, but not in battle. Alpha Team was my favourite theme from the past ten years so it had to be the theme for my fighter. I only just made the part count (my building method is haphazard and hard to quantify and worse to rebuild or create instructions for!) and I worked very hard to keep non-Lego parts out. I did have a specific Star Wars ship in mind but my tame Stormtrooper is on holiday, so I can't name said ship until he returns next week. I also missed some photos I needed (a side and a top view) but as these are WIP until the end I'm sure I'll get them in on time. I am having a manic week so I needed a de-stress with my Lego and the contest sprang to mind so I made this ship in less time than I expected. Hope you like it! I have discovered that this is based on a B-Wing Fighter Edited to put my final design into the first post. Old MOC is now at the bottom.
  25. A Greek Mythology theme would be nice, lots of white bricks (or Marble? But then you'd all complain that it was inconsistant quality or something...never mind) and Heroic charcters. Jason and the Argonauts (and of course the Argo itself) would be a brilliant set!
