  1. V-LV-9E The Steel Sprinter is a quad bike with a useful trailer that carries detection equipment to help locate and rescue stranded hikers. Its bright red so it can be seen from far away and its big wheels can tackle any terrain. It was quite easy to build; it’s got lots of little details and a back flap than can be lifted up and down. This MOC was built by my 8 year old brother Cameron. I thought it was so good that I had to put it online. =D Enjoy. Steel Sprinter on MOCpages.
  2. I love the reel to reel tape. It always suggests recording devices.
  3. Aww, I want a Lego shop near me Lucky you.
  4. Awesome. Not too much of a problem for Lego as the jaw is slightly different. But awesome nontheless.
  5. Sorry, what sort of response are you looking for? Watermark 'em. Make sure that they have a highly visible datestamp on Flickr or MOC pages are wherever you post images and when/if someone steals the image and passess it off as their own you can tell the webmaster/moderators of the image host with your signed and dated image. As long as someone wants praise without effort they will steal images, that is why you either have to be cool with it and only notify the powers that be when they get dishonest physical gain (prizes in contests etc) or you have to make you image as secure as a banknote or just stop posting pictures on an open page. You are well known to Lego building communities so the kids who stole the images won't get far in the big boys world even if they are a big man on a kids website. Ho hum, to be plagarised 'tis a most loathsome thing but also flattering. (hmm poetry...) Ask the ambassadors to let lego know about the issue of plagarism and see if they have anything in place to prevent it. When I tried to put photos on my Club Page many moons ago they never went up because of issues during moderating, they must employ people to keep an eye on suspect images.
  6. So in game the Celts don't storm into battle nude apart from their full body woad tattoos and weapon? Odd that (Former History geek now all round nerd) Good custom, did you use an altered scan of the german mechanics torso?
  7. Um. 4757-1: Hogwart's Castle Pretty good, even If I don't like Harry Potter.
  8. Design a logo. Make it prominent, put it everywhere you go. Use it as your avatar, signature or whatever. Then watermark your every image with it. That way it is known to be yours. They can say it it their logo but if you load it to flikr the datestamp will be earlier than any fakers. Its an unfortunate side affect of the interwebs, even I have been guilty of grabbing a picture without saving the source, but I have never said it was mine. It's a few sad kids online obviously impressed with your MOC and trying to pass it off as their own. Take them up on it and ask them all the things you have been asking us here and see if they apolagise. Try explaining the work you put into it and how it hurts that they "stole" it. In the end they can't take away your talent nor your recognition amongst your peers. Do you build for the praise and recognition? or do you build for the joy of creating something from some plastic bricks most adults call a childrens toy? Its not on that they are entering contests with it, but all they are doing is selling themselves short by not making their own things. I build for the joy and share my MOCs just to say "hey, I built something that I am proud of, take a looksee." If i inspire one person to do something, or help one MOC maker overcome one issue they have with a technique I used I have a bonus on top of that pride. Just my two pence.
  9. Spider is a covert operations robot I created while messing around with my interesting elements. With its legs it can cling to horizontal faces.
  10. Watermarking seems to be the solution. Design a logo or just write your name across the middle. It wont affect the picture too badly and will stop anyone copying it without giving credit (the ones on the edge can be easily cropped out so make sure some of it is on the MOC).
  11. 264 according to brickset, but I know that I have obtained some of my brothers (Lets just say when the nicked my minifigs I got it back with compensation) bought at least 15 figures from ebay and bricklink, bought several legs and torsos on factory PAB and a few more minifigs at legoland, plus the impulse sets that I had as a child (apart from minifig and memories) and some figures that came in hand me down mixed boxes, and have no firm record as to which set they came from. I'd estimate that I have over 320 minifigs. My favourites and most recent are stored in a few small tubs or with the MOC they belong on and last week I sorted all my minifigs by head colour (flesh in one, yellow in the other and aliens in a third), torso theme (town/normal, unprinted,castle,SF,Steampunk/Adventurer and misc) and Legs (solid colour, different colour hips and printed) Plus all the headgear and stuff in different Ikea Glis compartments, I am going to get a few more for accessories by theme and for space when I take apart some of my new figures. I love minifigs and used to build stadia just to display them all and show of that I had two sets of five identical torsos (Five a side football matches were popular in my Lego town). I have a question though: Do you like Lego figures as they come, or do you prefer to create custom figures and give them a backstory and name? I love making custom figures and sometimes buy sets just for the figures (If they are cheap or reduced..).
  12. It is random. Last week we went to TRU and I bought a few sets for about £60 but then I don't buy anything of note for months or I will buy loads of Lego in the space of a month. Next month I plan on treating myself to my three Agents sets (and more than likely a pirate impulse) on the Lego online shop as I will have finished me three assignments for uni ( I hope, anyway). Last year I bought lots of sets on sale. (all my Exo-Force and most of the Speed Racer sets) so I must have spent at least £500.
  13. Zoids, a toy collection, anime, manga and selection of games for DS and Gameboy, the robots in power rangers are Zords... ¬¬ Sorry, pedantry is a problem of mine
  14. *swoon* That is amazing... Zoids and Lego are my two favourite construction toys. Fantastic Liger
  15. Plagarism is very annoying but a Report Fraud button could be abused badly, just think, someone builds a model that is very good and someone else gets jealous, thus they report a fraud, hassling some poor kid who did nothing wrong. A system similar to deviant art would be good.
  16. Anyone got any suggestions for the gate or car then? I want to improve the car and I have a niggle that I should do something to the Gate...
  17. I do call the largest set thumb numbers due to the high brick count but most of the time my hands are a mess anyway (work etc) but I have lost some well cultivated nails once or twice.
  18. Well, the gate and wall is made from the best part of Sentai Fortress with the gate from Mission 6 thrown in, I essentialy bulked it up using all the orange from the fortress (after all, Dr Inferno seems to like orange rather a lot). As for the WIP status, I am going to rebuild the volcano to remove the need for hinges (if you've seen Mission 8 for "real" it folds out) and add a lot more Bond Baddie style features like a lab, a control center and a helipad etc. That orange wall is going to form the front defence and will anchor into the volcano sides, so while it is technicaly finished in its self the larger whole is far from complete.
  19. Norwegian?? It was the South Wales Coast! In fact it was Southerndown, a beach near Bridgend. (Nerdage) A Doctor Who vig would be cool.
  20. I envy your starfighter, that is amazing and looks equally complicated . ps. Love your avatar. Little Lord Shaper is rather cute.
  21. They could also try what playmobile do (my youngest brother loves it, not quite playing dollies but no arguments over lego ownership with his older/my younger brother) which is to have it clip under the hair piece. They fit quite snugly in the odd clip that they have to keep hair on, a lego version could have them lie on the stud on top of the head. Also, thinking about playmobile... How about hats and hair that are combineable? No more bald (or beyond belief hair gathering) for female figures!
  22. That is only with the oldest figures in my collection (Classic Space I believe) that were hand me downs and much played with before, the same with the loose hips/legs and even then its only about six pairs and two heels out of about twenty figures.
  23. Having recently cleared a lot of space I started on my latest project "fixing" the Agents sets that I wasn't entirely happy with and starting work on a big Bond baddie style HQ for Dr Inferno. Here is the Turbo Car remixed, leaner and meaner : Sorry about the blurring I will more than likely take some better photos later (serves me right for experimenting with angles in a hurry) *pic is a link to MOCpages* Here is my WIP HQ, as of today the gate and fencing is partialy completed *Pic is link to MOCpages* I plan on expanding the volcano, linking the walls/fencing to it and adding a lot more into it all as the project progresses so watch this space!
  24. I thought if another: Reallly Old computers (not quite punch cards) need one as its wrightable media.
  25. The bandannas sadly do not let aviator helmets fit on a minifig head while worn (I tried it and no luck at all.) So a scarf would be really useful. As for anything else? I would like a great minifig scale bucket.
