Where do post your MOC pictures?
Peppermint_M replied to Ricecracker's topic in General LEGO Discussion
MOCpages. Mainly because two years ago when I discovered that there was Lego centric websites beyond Lego.com, it was linked from the wikipedia page on AFOLs (or something like that). It's a great site because I like to add background for my MOCs, give it a story or simply an explanation but then again its a bit rubbish community wise, all the Halo and Star Wars fans, the teens and their endless Bionicle re-mixes. However I don't understand Flikr nore like it particularly, Brickshelf won't let me post stories and a personal site would take too much of my time to run. Are there any others besides these three? -
If we are talking about themes gone by that you never had a hope to get: Most of Rock Raiders and Alpha Team are on my list. I had the smallest of the Rock Raider sets (but Jet was in it so 's'all good) because we couldn't afford to buy much. However Alpha team was out during my parents first "Lego is not for girls of your age" phase (they had one other when I was doing my GCSEs) as I was in the second or third year of comprehensive school and thus too old for it. I managed to get hold of a few non Alpha Team sets that year (to protests) but could never get Alpha Team because next to Star Wars it was my little brother's favourite theme, so even harder for me to get. I have bought some of the sets on eBay now which is great, and I'm always keeping my eyes open for more.

Saffron Brightweather: Botanist and former assistant to the Super Seed programme lead. Her prophetic warning of dire consequences ignored, her safety protocols left to last, Saffron resists the urge to say "I told you so" to every complaint. Setting out to return to find somewhere the plants could not grow in hope of finding a way to stop them, she teamed up with two others to search the world. Saw Chainage: A career soldier, Saw has no problems, mowing down any vegetation in his way. Saw is interested in one thing and one thing only: getting rid of the rampant plants by any means possible. He joined Saffron in her quest as an excuse to crisp and cut plant life. Sear Torch: A former land clearer from the Australian outback. Sear is an expert in removing swaths of unwanted vegetation in as little time as possible. He joined Saffron and Saw after responding to a call for anyone brave enough to venture out of areas safe from Vegetation Monsters.

You are too good. Here I am with three assignment deadlines (and two assignments to write) coming up, exams for my HNC and only a month until it's all over and I still go online to play for two hours every evening (not to mention cartoon time, reading time, lego playing time and those annoying tasks I have to do in work ) Good Luck with your exams, but try not to burn out! Take at least an hour a day to chill or else you might stress out and end up in a cycle of procrastination and make yourself ill (not talking from experience or anything *whistles innocently* )

Invasion Contest Discussion and Rules topic

Do I have to post it as soon as I upload it? I have made a ship but missed some of the photos needed and I can't remember the name of the ship I based it on and my Star Wars expert is on holiday until the weekend. So should I post it right now (As I loaded it to MOCpages) or should I wait until I have the ship type and missing pictures? -
I have a DS Lite and my brother has a Wii. I love my DS, but not the DSi because I still play some Advanced games and do not wish to lose the choice to play them (gave my SP away after I got my DS lite). I have a few less "casual" titles for my DS, but with everything but Pokemon I am a casual gamer (gotta catch 'em all... MUST catch ever single one... all of them *cuckoo*) plus anything that lets me play Mahjong on the go is great. The Wii is a bit...meh. I dont like to use the motion sensor controller myself, I use my gamecube one on the three games I play, Super Smash Bro's Brawl, Mario Kart and Soul Caliber III, and I dont really want any games that don't use the Wiimote (apart from House of the Dead, I love using the Wiimote as a gun in an accurate-ish gun shaped extra...beware). I liked PS2, I play a great co-op but not so fond of single player, though I do try Final Fantasy. I still yearn for a Dreamcast as a hold over from I was young (I was 11, they sponsored my favourite football team and they looked so awesome with their internet connection).

The age of three "Q"s (of Star Trek fame) combined?

Should we mere untitled mortals be worried? Or do we get to sit back and lol while everyone with a title becomes a victim of a prank of some sort of title related nature? That would be fun

The Awesome badness is too much to take! I want it.

But... Agents... I'll just have to stockpile dark blue and bley to make my awesome Agents MOCs. I wonder what new theme will steal my intrest? (After all, soon after bemoaning the loss of ExoForce, Agents came along...)

What I was aiming for in a way, without the blindness bit though...

Having seen many scourched Earth style apocaMOCs, plenty of Zombie invasions and loads of army in a city (with very decayed buildings but perfect/very good condition roads...). I decided to create a leafy green land of dread. Here is the MOCpages page detailing the story. Here is a teaser image. Enjoy. (please take a look. I worked on the story and everything!)

I think I have some of those OXFORD brick products, I'm not entirely sure but Wilkinsons in the UK has them at christmas, they may be repackaged for the UK market. The gun design is the same, as are the figures and the stickers have Korean characters. They are really good quality, I have a Police Boat and a Riot Van. because they are rather cheap and the guns are decent quality. Plus the handcuffs are non lego but fit, so I can cut them to make watches/bracelets/wrist mounted weapons for my minifigs.

There are two themes I wish to buy that are discontinued. Luckily they were never fantasticly popular and still not to expensive on eBay. So I do buy every now and then. Otherwise I just get some of the minifig parts and elements I would like off of bricklink.

Harley Quinn's Hammer Truck, I was buying online and it was there but my exact words were "phhff, £30 for that? I'll just get a magnet set to have Harley" Look where that got me... I can't even find a keyring now! If a set is cheap enough and I'm not broke, I always buy Lego I have not got from shops like TKMaxx because they often have a few sets then none for six months.

How many BROKEN BONEs have you had at once?
Peppermint_M replied to Darth Legolas's topic in Community
Not either really. It does feel odd for one elbow to hurt more in the same circumstance. Then again, it may be the same as before, but in comparison to that time it feels like nothing -
Kidby's art is "canon" according to Sir Terry his-self. Those are the ones I am working from in my (so far not as successful as I hoped) attempts at minifig creation.

I really hope Agents isn't another two year theme. It's really cool and has space for so much expansion. PoP will be cooool (mmm Jake Gyllanhaal ) and Rock Band would be intresting, even if I have to put up with an aweful cliche idea of each genres "style" in minifig form. Guitars would be cool (I use the oversized wrenches and chainsaws). As for the rest? City has to do something cool to get more than a "meh" from me, any news on Castle?

I am going to Canada, Kelowna, for two weeks: end of July/start of August. For a wedding, catching up with a few friends and sightseeing/shopping. Should be fun.

None. Unless the persistant pain in my littlest metatarsle was a break, not just a ligament bruise. I have been hit by a car, blacked out, had concussion and a bruise all over one side of my face. At a later date I killed whatever nerve is known as the funnybone, on my left elbow falling off a skate board. It hurt like mad for a few days and now when I whack my elbow it doesn't hurt half as much. -
Awesome Thanks loads.
-
UK to Canada should be good for it then.
-
ooo I hope I can get this on my flight to Canada in August Looks great and funny review

I have to use them by early June, so I can't save them to buy Agents . I was juggling the possibility of Brickbears Bounty as a reduced in price set, or an armload of smaller Farm/City sets in the several for free catagory.

Printing block pictures with poster paint. The good old texturing clay/salt dough/plasteceine trick. Making a rattle. Nothing too drastic.
