ok, so I was on ebay and saw the most fantastic Speed Racer Lego Bootleg you ever laid eyes on. one of those cars for £6.50, so I just had to buy it. It has the Grey Ghost's car is the one I decided to get. I will build and review, with full comparison to official LEGO as soon as I recieve it. And befoe anyone goes into lectures mode: I really love speed racer so I could not resist it at that price. If it looks that dreadful, it should be a lol-a-minute. I hope that they at least stick together... here it is If its too dreadful I can bag it up and pass it on.

[Comic] The Brick Testament - Satan Unleashed
Peppermint_M replied to Brendan Powell Smith's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
The book of Revelation is one of my favourite books (I like Daniel's Prophecy also) this is an interesting interpretation. One of the first MOCs I made after getting lego Horses were the Horsemen (In fact I think I have pictures somewhere...). My Father thinks these are brilliant and looks at them in work during his lunch. I'll have to let him know that there are updates -
I think the signs are a good idea, after all, if it ain't broke don't fix it! How big a box is it? In comparison to a set that is already widely availiable? (aka, Star Wars Battlepack sized? or somesuch other sort) I need to make packing considerations to fit all these sets in my luggage on the way home!

The poor, poor little minifig
Peppermint_M replied to Pirate Pete's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
We had buckets and buckets of old Lego in Infants School (reception to year 2 or K to 2nd grade, i think, for those across the pond) and I played for hours with it. All the motorcycles were broken but that didn't matter because they were space bikes, I made some huge MOCs (One was a space station with an engine room mechanism made of doors...) and impressed the boys . Free Lego is always awesome. I once found some lego in a "waste ground"/vacant lot that had been used for den building for generations. Can't tell how old it was because it was just bricks, but its proof that lego was built to last. -
Yeah, I read those. The tone seems to have gone to really mean and nasty over recent days/weeks however. I think the white-tron torsos are funny and the skateboards looked fine, nut what-the-hey. I want the red horse... As for Best-Lock, well... I suppose if you want army sets it's great, but I have never been too interested in tanks so the set we got was a bit FAIL. There are some sets in TKMaxx that are cheap enough to be tempting. I'll pick some WAR of the Planets sets up maybe.

REVIEW: 8967 Gold Tooth's Getaway
Peppermint_M replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
You people are sooo grumpy. I like the look of this set. Not only do we get a nice variation on the rather commen cleft chin'd eyebrowed minifig face but a Gold Tooth with all his exclusives in a cheap set, the new vest and tan flat top hair!! The black chasis is very useful to me and my fleet of cosmic cycles (Gold Tooth can ride the orange coast guard bike and like it!) but some other useful parts too. I will be getting this set early on as it is one that is quite likely to turn up in physical retail stores that I can get to easily. Thanks for the review. -
If you could revive any one dead theme...
Peppermint_M replied to Darth Legolas's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lots of spam bots today... I would love it if they could bring some of the movie sets back, but not for making lego films, but as a subsection of city. After all, big cities must have a tv studio/film studio. Some of the civilian torso's were really cool too. -
Funny you should say that... I am working on a design for both a giant mutant tree monster and a flamethrower mech. Today I made the rolling transport. So I might be able to get pictures up tonight (depends if the batteries on the camera can muster some power).

Thanks for the review. All the information I can get will help me decide which sets to buy when I'm in Canada this August. Is it just me or does the Space Policeman have Dash's head? From the Arctic Alpha Team sets a few... (four ... ) years ago?

Thanks. I love post apocalyptic scenery but so much of it was bley, grey or sand. I was thinking Midgard 500 years later (FFVII) and Perdot, but not as an aftermath but as the cause. A brief character bio for the three "lead" characters can be found here on the minifig customisation forum. Also, thanks computerbug. I love to write stories, or just make them up as I go along (I have one published story, dont'cha know =D) so even when I am just making a little MOC it suddenly grows a massive history and future If people wan't to join in with their own Leaf-Pocalypse MOCs feel free, just please credit me a little if that's ok..

Ah, now that is one of the results of the massive release of mutagenic seeds. Soon after the seeds started their rampant growth, strange creatures emerged, some said the seeds came into contact with a super soldier serum, others claimed it was poor mutated humans and animals who had had too much contact with the seeds. Whatever they were, they were hungry, angry and near unstoppable. Fire and chainsaws are the only effective weapon against them. It's also known as. A Shambling Mutant: A monster with seemingly little wit and a craving for human flesh. It wants to eat anyone it meets, it

Random tracks by Yoko Kanno. I love her arrangements, they can be stirring, inspiring, relaxing and thought provoking all in one. (it helps that she worked on three of my all time favourite anime too).

Thanks. I tried to make it look a bit better than my first attempt.

That's a lot (about the same size as my graphic novel collection) Like I said, I have lots of JSA, the two Earth-2 TPB and all the books from number 1 to 12, plus the new reboot, several Classified and the All Star JSA book. I'm probably going to get the Elseworld JSA: Golden Age. I decided that I'd stick to a team title.

(picture links to MOCpages) Saffron searches for her missing research in an abandoned government bunker, a definite risk as the poor soul in the corner proves. The rumour was that some of the Daemonseed project information had been stored here and she needs it to create a cure. The Omega Seeds have hit this particular location pretty hard and various creatures lurk amongst the vegetation. Her hand device goes "ding" when there is "stuff". This MOC is smaller than the first. I decided to decrease the area so I could increase the volume of vegetation. I will be making a lot more of these smaller scenes, mainly so I can work on telling a story with the pictures (not quite a webcomic, more like an illustrated novel). Hope you like it. The Leaf-Pocalypse on MOCpages A note on the nature of the Leaf-Pocalypse: I have posted an earlier MOC that explains the story. I decided to make a more green apocalypse because I was fed up of all the grey, zombie and sandy ApocaLego out there and decided to make my own up.

Envy Thanks for the review, I know I'll be looking out for theses online (UK based means no Space Police ) Good and helpful pictures. Love the Policeman's uniform. Is the cyclops' helmet harder plastic or soft rubber stuff?

Where do post your MOC pictures?
Peppermint_M replied to Ricecracker's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Unpleasant surprises? (or am I misinterpreting emoticon use...) I was thinking dual posting with flickr so I can show off my models with a teaser pic and link back to the MOC page. Ho hum. -
Heh, listing webcomics I read is a long and tiresome task. Every day I have at least four to read for their regular updates and three to check incase of new postings. .

Hello, welcome to the community! It'll be nice to see your sf setting black falcons. Have fun, chat, post MOCs enjoy .

Too all the naysayers: This isn't like a few years ago. Lego are not devoting time and money from the bricks to these projects. They are liscencing out their name and brand (i.e. the people making these cameras/mp3 players/sunglasses/videogames are paying Lego to let them use Lego and that oh so familiar stud pattern) just like they pay Lucas-something for Star Wars' name, characters and designs (that's why they are so expensive). So no worries, Lego could make money from these ventures without any risks themselves. Plus, those are so wonderfully tacky! I need a pair for myself and will totaly but alligators and such on (it may be murder for my hair, but I do not care!)

Where does the information on new Lego Stores come from? I was just wondering because I'd like to know if any are opening in the UK, 'cos I keep seeing articles online about Lego opening more brand stores to sell direct to the consumer and was hoping this would spill over to near me (nooo, I don't obsessively google "news" the word Lego, no sir....)

That is why I cannot post a synonym of "calculate, guage, test" (etc) as it has an a followed by two s' an e and a second pair of s' how annoying, it makes me seem to be swearing when I am not. "I assessed my new lego Agents Sets." Edit: Okay... there doesn't seem to be one... odd that, seeing as it happened once before. Ho hum, as you were.

I also have every volume of the Zoids manga availiable . I am a huge comic geek as I remember most of the information on characters I read aboud on wikis and in comics... Never ask me a question about one of them or I will give you the pottes history (that I agree with, some stuff is to stupid to mention) and affiliations. Also never ask if I read Marvel, at first it was annoying (I only read DC these days) but after some of the editorial desicions over there its plain embarassing.

I played that for ages last night. Some name highlights included: The Mighty Reinforced Uni Brow and The Fantastic Smashing Bat.

I'd love to read more European comics, apart from Asterix and Tin Tin I can't find anything in English. oh, and Nemi in The Metro. I have a book of global comics and some of the French ones look amazing. It's too bad that only stuff from Japan or America gets imported.
