You might have some luck with Sluban. They are bootlegs of Oxford sets as the Clone Ranger has warned, but they are more easily obtained here in the UK but I can't promise in the US, however with their low price and availiablity you might just find a seller from the UK who'd ship to the US with decent prices, if you are ok with a bootleg of a clone...

I don't think they sell outside of Korea, unless you pay for the pricey imports off eBay, I have been searching around and so far had no luck getting anything to the UK or finding a seller based outside of Korea.

Hi Welcome to the forum! You'll find you are not alone here, plenty of us have had odd looks (At least as an adult you can decide what "grown up" is. Try being a sixteen year old girl more into Lego than clothes.. ). What are your favourite themes other than Star Wars? Do you have any MOC you'd most like to create? Anywho, have fun and drop in here to get added to the Lady group to avoid any confusion later on (edited, link was broken)

That hole puncher would be really useful for so many things. The "set" is certainly cute, I know my sister would adore it and I could find ever so many uses for paper punched to fit Lego studs. Thanks for he review!

I like the old piece, its key to creating the major look of my spacecraft! BubbleMint and Lycoris would never have been built with that ugly excess plastic! Looks like I'll be using bricklink a whole lot. -

It would cost a lot of money for mini themes with unique figures. I know these figures are going to cost a lot to produce too, but they will sell exactly the same numbers of units due to the blind bags. If a minitheme set in a series of minithemes (or should that be micro?) isn't popular, the kids don't want it, Lego make a loss on it and have boxes and boxes of unwanted themes that we will all buy in clearance (Like how Jack Stone/ 4Juniors town ended up in my local Woolworths). With these figures they'll sell all of them in such a volume that lots of money will be made. -

Hello and welcome. May I direct you to this thread in which you can indicate with a nifty star that you are a girl, stops confusion later on (it was very useful for me, I can tell you ). Here's a helpful hint with the typing, preview your post and see how it reads and then correct anything that doesn't seem quite right. Out of interest, what are your favourite themes and sets? Do you build your own models or do you only collect? Also: Whitefang, New Brunswick is bilingual, maybe she has French as a first language and English second?

That was a very good video. It was impressive how real the bricks looked and how it worked so smoothly. By the by David, Ideas are just as valuable as the final product. It's called intellectual property and is a major reason why Lego has a hissy fit whenever another construction toy company makes interlocking plastic bricks (ironic considering Mr Page created the concept) and people cry plagarism and sue each other if a concept is used without due credit.

Have you ever bought trading figures/cards/toys from a shop (recently)? You pay, you get the blind package and that's that. No returns, no money back. They are immediate transactions. I suppose if you argued for a while they might exchange it but you wouldn't get a choice (or likely be able to return to the establishment) its how those kind of things work. Now if the figure was broken, or the parts missing you might have a case, but otherwise no dice. That is why you should try to find a way of A: Trading with local kids without looking weird (will work for me, what with my many siblings) or B: Web Trades with fellow AFOLs. -

You know, small trading things that kids like are sold in a different way to normal toys. In local shops (corner shops, independents etc) they have them on the pay desk. In franchised/chain shops (Co-Op, Spa etc) they sit behind the pay desk and you ask the person operating the till for a bag. In supermarkets they go behind the tobacco counter and in toy shops they go behind the desk. It's all to stop shoplifting or the kids opening the bags. I think these figures will be worth too much in everyones opinion to have them out like Bionicle extra bits. What I am getting at is: You will not be able to stand in an aisle and rummage/feel for certain figures you will quite likely have to go to the desk and ask for som bags (or a box, if they'll sell it). Depending upon how they are distributed depends how easily you can buy a box. (Here's hoping for them being sold to independents from Cash'n'Carrys). Oh, but this all counts from my experience, so it might be different elsewhere. -
Stylish. Those are some nice custom parts. Well used too.

How can I get multiple flickr accounts? At the moment its all tied to my rather naff Yahoo! ID... Plus I keep forgetting my password. I love brickshelfs simplicity, please come back

How shall we buy them? Supermarket, local shop or highstreet store? Lego Branded Stores Only (if so I shall protest most loudly). Ah, who's to worry, we'll be able to set up a giant swapsie topic and have a whale of a time Anticipation is too great! -
I always write a story with my figures and MOCs and have done since I was small. I am working on one "theme" of sets with plenty of storyline to post as soon as I have built the centerpiece, a lot of my stories are stuck to MOCs on my MOCpages. I adore writing as much as I love Lego (been published in a small magazine).

LEGO Collectible Minfigures Series 1 Poll
Peppermint_M replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You want me to choose? To choose one of those fantastic figures?! I like them all. When we figure out how they are selling (random parts or full figures) I will endevour to get all of them. I adore the Spaceman though, he's just what I need in my new MOC. -

It is certainly a good way for Lego to get me to buy more Lego. I find that I buy a big load of sets when each wave comes out in a year, then maybe one or two small sets inbetween. With these figures I am likely to cut out my daily dose of snackfood and chocolate from the shop at work and buy some polybagged figures. New Lego with the side effect of a better diet! Another bonus I have is my brother in primary school, or my sister who works in a primary school (and has the bonus of the children thinking she is awesome) who can trade for me -
Face shape decides it all. Round Hat + Round Face = Bad. Means I cant wear a bowler hat, I love my Top Hat. A warning: If this is just going to be an argument about two hats, take it back wherever you started it. If you want to discuss hats I won't stop you (another mod might, but I just love hats) so please make this a topic of merit or it will have to close.

If they become possible for me to buy, I will get one and review it. I would also love an Oxford train, I really want some trains that do not cost the earth to buy. Plus I feel I have a duty to review them, for impartiality!

So how will they be distributed? If its like trading cards and "go-gos" etcetera I might make an arrangement with my local shop owner friend. If it is through supermarkets I will make an arrangement with my shopping trolly wrangling friend and if it's through Lego stores I shall be most vexed. If it's through regular means, I might just have to buy a boxload from a cash and carry. Can I rely on my fellow brickheads here to trade with? I want all of them, this is so suited to my sort of MOCing
