Nightmare Revisited Korn are covering Its rather awesome.

I haven't roleplayed in a while, but it is very fun. You just have to be slightly creative and good at judging when to do what

How do you keep track of your collection?
Peppermint_M replied to desultor's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Urgh, for insurance purposes I have a lot of databases to create.. One for books (some are not rare per se, just rather hard to find these days), Action Figures (at £20 a pop, I would love to be reimbursed if they were every destroyed), Lego, Zoids, DVDs.. it doesn't bear thinking about -
I'd like to play this (never was fond of Mafia games) but if there is no space I'll be happy to watch what happens. Learn how you run games here

How do you keep track of your collection?

Brickset. However I also have nearly all of my instructions orgainsed by theme... I do have a bit I can't track as it was a mixed lot. I soon hope to have a method of keeping track of it though. -
Oh. I love the Kipper. My mum was just telling me about it.

Aww, thanks. It just goes to show that even six previews and I manage to miss something that important ! Thanks again for posting it

I keep all my Zoids sprues in a box, they may come in handy in the future as greebls on custom guns/armour.

Hello. Welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy your stay. LARP is cool but I suffer not Star Wars, The MOC Expert tag is earned through posting very very good MOCs, the Star Wars one was something to do with a Mafia game a while back (unless there is one I haven't come across) so I don't think you can get one.

Tatco Pirate. Well, this is another clone brand I found on holiday... It essentially confirms every single negative thing anyone has ever said about clone brands, and then some. The official website of Tatco (formerly Atco) Toys, a China based toy manufacturer. They have some interesting looking sets that I wish I could have found over this one. I found it in a shop that sells cheap rubbish to tourists, plastic swords, beach toys cheap ornaments that only ever come from the Great British Holiday. You know the drill. A great place to get a few boxes of fudge for the office and some rock for the kids. From the box it looked innocent enough. One polybag of parts later and that sinking feeling sets in. Some parts were pre-stickered and pre-printed but there were some stickers to apply later. The instructions were printed on the back of the box, they were very difficult to follow. I got there eventually but not after a fair few moments of backtracking. There were some interesting parts included. These half arches look like they would be very useful in as rafters in a medieval MOC. The sword, gun and oars are different to their Lego counterparts. The clips are certainly good, seeing as for a similar effect Lego uses skeleton legs. The sail assembly was nice and simple, the longer shaft was pushed in at the bottom, the medium sized and the top, I later found out that the smallest wasn’t used in the sail. The three parts (sail and two shafts) are then pushed down the central pole. The boat was exactly the same mould as a Best-Lock boat (the one in blue). Here is the built set. It wouldn’t work as the instructions intended so I had to sub in some parts from other brands in my clone box, it sprang apart shortly after the photo due to a mildly warped plate near the bottom of the construction. Now onto the figure... I have only ever seen this guy in on other place by Blunty3000, a youtube animation. Here he is in comparison to: (From right to left) A Lego pirate, a Best-Lock fireman, a new Megablocks PotC figure, and old Megablocks skateborder figure and a Sluban police man. In all: This set was hard to build, a very weird design, an ugly figure with oddly coloured tools, there were bits missing and it wouldn’t build as the instructions said it should. The plastic was “soapy” and not quite the same as any of the other clones. The entire brand shouldn’t be judged on this one set of indeterminate age, as some of the themes and sets on the website look pretty interesting, however apart from those half arches, it is best avoided. It’s a good job that the next set I bought was one of the most fantastic sets I have had to build and play with, clone or Lego, since the Agents Mobile Command Centre. There are now only two more clone sets left on my hard drive for me to review. No worries Big Cam, I spent some time checking the review indexes of each subforum and was pleased to find four sets that I own and are still built that need reviewing! This afternoon I shall be taking the relevant photographs and collecting the images I don’t have from the ‘net and posting reviews of these in the appropriate places (some of these sets are over ten years old!).

Today my King Liger Zoid arrived, so I built it and had fun watching it roam around. I was also able to plan which zoids to customise to match it, for a three unit team I want to make (I decided on a Shadow Fox and Command Wolf). I then shopped for a while in town but didn't find much, however Power Miners seems to be popular this year, no sets left on the shelves in ASDA... Then I spent the evening watching cartoons and films.

I too de-stress with Lego. Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy it here.

I got one free with cereal. It came with a spear and a dark red shield and some stickers. The figure itself is a bit useless, the shield is great for many MOCs and the spear is very greebly. It looks like whoever had that figure also had one of the other knights because the shield belongs to another.

Sluban Swat Riot Police - Armored Patrol (M38-B2000)
Peppermint_M replied to lampuair's topic in Community
Ooo, I like that. I missed it in the shops last year. I have the Riot Van and the boat. Nice review -
Enlighten/Kazi are bootlegs, not clones. Terminology is important. I wouldn't touch a bootleg with a bargepole held by someone else. As for all the clones? I shall repeat: It's always good to see the other side so you don't take for granted what you have. Living in a capitalist epoch means rivals exisist which is good as competition keeps the biggest company on its toes and ensures they don't exploit the consumer. Also, the magic of topic titles means you can avoid threads you do not wish to read (Star Wars free for me ).

Missing pieces from lego sets
Peppermint_M replied to Lego Wargammer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So how do I get a mising set? I made an order last week for a Pirate Advent Calander and Squidman's Escape. I was invoiced both and not told of any delay to either. A box came today and inside was an invoice for both sets but only the Advent Calander. The only help I can get on Lego.com seems to be about missing parts. Anyone else had this problem? -
Hello and welcome to Eurobricks. You are certain to have a good time :thumbup:Also, many people who will envy your volume of space for Lego
-
Small MOCs, small sets and modular living furniture from IKEA. Lots of shelves, under the bed boxes. Then try and keep the volume of lego managable until you get more space in bigger digs. Also: Welcome to the forum

I'm that good! Ok, so I read her profile page, not many guys out there called Rebecca. I always look at new member profile pages.

I recycle all of my boxes. Shortly after I finish the set I take out my craft knife (or a stanley for the larger boxes) and slice the key points so I can fold it flat. Then when the months food boxes go to the recycling point, or we go to IKEA I take the boxes along. As for sprues, the gold sprues go into the "treasure" box as medals, scarabs or whatever fits in theme. The larger tool sprues go in my "greebles" box that I put all random plastic, ready for whatever use I see for them in the future. It's not hard to recycle if you spend a few minutes extra when throwing things out.

I don't review Lego, I don't see any point to it, there are many others who give much better more concise reviews of Lego sets months before I can get hold of them, what with being UK based and all Lego comes out stateside before here and nowhere sells any uncommon sets no one has reviewed. However I can and often do find clones others have never seen before (apart from the Clone Ranger) in tiny little cheap shops and newsagents that no one but locals really know about and chainstores in my town center. If you like my reviewing style and would like for me to review some Lego I'll give it a go with my next set I get. (or you can check my Brickset listings and I can have a try at one of those ones)

I have a large-ish box filled with bricks and figures from the following brands: Sluban, Megablocks, Tyco, Best-Lock, Little White Dragon,MY, C3, Knex and one without a name. I spent the last few weeks sorting all the Megablocks from my first sets into that box and all my new clones go right in. As I am always on the lookout for more, it is a growing collection. but I haven't got as much of it as I have Lego.
-
Here's hoping that my recent order has one when it comes! I second the request for a picture/scan
-
Best Lock is variable. I have had some impulse sets that "spring" instead of stick, but then again I have had some good sets that are quite good.

Heh, not trying to get people to switch, just to be a little more open minded about things. I have found some great sets out there. Coming soon: The Motherlode of all Bad Clones.
