  1. 1 point to Johnno and his Skeleton Merchant: reminds me of the cool sets I got from Adventurers. 2 Points to Skalldyr's Oasis. I would love that as a set.
  2. Three Clowns at the Red Brick Circus! I made a popcorn machine to go in the background and used some flags from Speed Racer to give them a good circus like backdrop. 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16, 5/16, 6/16, 7/16, 8/16, 9/16, 10/16.
  3. Very very possibly even non-League teams have the odd cheerleader. The massive teams do not seem to, but when siblings or father are watching the low level game there are a few with the mascot.
  4. Three Cheerleaders cheering their team on! Football (or Soccer, for those across the pond) is topical, what with the World Cup around the corner. Also I know the pitch markings for the sport and I have a ball. Simple but true to life. Basketball is another option, but the only time I have come across the markings (in the school gym) they were mixed up with Netball, Indoor tennis and a myriad other sports one plays inside. 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16, 5/16, 6/16, 7/16, 8/16, 9/16.
  5. A meatbag made the first one. A fact that will be carefully airbrushed from the glorious iron history of Robotonia.
  6. 1 a day for 16 days is my goal. I have two in reserve (for a day I can't MOC and a day I am away) and five more to build. Once I have finished them all I'll make an index thread with a celebration MOC in Town, so everyone can find them all. I found I was listless with my MOCing, far too many projects falling by the wayside, I saw the new figures as a way of challenging myself to create something different each day, in themes I do not often explore and a style I never attempted (I prefer the 8x8 vigs or vehicle MOCs to scenes such as these). I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and I am thouroughly enjoying myself as I do so. I have plans for series 2 and you can bet that as soon as series 3 is leaked I'll be getting ideas. Robots have also been a long loved theme for me, ever since I picked up my first Asimov at the age of 13.
  7. Four Robots in the factory, two of them assisst in the consrtuction of two more, who'll make another one while the other two make one each... Soon they will take over the world! I love the Robot. He is spiffy, with his silver helmet and amazing printing. I can see an army of them all ready to clank and clunk to world domination! 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16, 5/16, 6/16, 7/16, 8/16.
  8. Um, all of my blog entries (minus mine biography page) are MOCs, from Ralph S'sfantastic Brickston Borough to AllanSmith's Pump. Like Shadows said, post in what you think should be blogged and I am sure we'll notice and evaluate it
  9. Thanks for frontpaging me Svelte I wondered how to pose the cycling dummy, and arms up looked like a good idea Of course! I already have a few lines of ideas and some sketches in my ideas book Well, I was hoping to do so, since I had a brown fedora! Exo Force series one sets had these for the lightup brick to look like a lazer. I have 1 other built big, five solid ideas and one miasmic idea for the other eight. I wonder if I need some sort of grand finale...
  10. I am sure there were once generic brick sets for building things for the old smurf figures that I came across once. Will post if I ever find them again. Those look Duplo sized brick to me...
  11. Road Traffic experimentation: Crash at a Crossroads, with pedestrian. Very useful data for road safety design and suchlike
  12. That is the exact same assortment as my box and Whitefang's box(es). Interesting...
  13. Five dummies crashing into each other. I used the fiber optic to make one be "flung". Dreadful lighting but little time to re-take images. Halfway there! Only a week to go until all the figures are covered. 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16, 5/16, 6/16, 7/16.
  14. We C-T bloggers post town and city related MOCs. What do you mean "why is it only a few models of all different types but other people who build fantastic and unusual models that do not get blogged" because thet seems to be somewhat a double negative.
  15. Thanks for the review! I am certainly getting this set too. I agree that the boats are smaller than they appeared to be, but still just as cool looking. I do not mind the stickers, and with all my spare flags I can make a chess board with the stickers
  16. This one isn't very good, compared to my others. I was sort of stuck for ideas at the time and just threw it together for something to post I may revisit it, but I hope I can make up for it with the next nine that are to be built. 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16, 5/16, 6/16.
  17. Love this MOC. Lego City needs services like this
  18. They come with it, oddly enough. If any more poultry is provided I will have enough for a fried chicken takeaway MOC!
  19. Do as the real ones do and have a part to block its movement in that direction. clipping one of them in place would be unobtrusive and effective. They are no great technical feat in steel, so why make it hard in Lego?
  20. Fresh from the grave, ready to eat some turkey legs left by loutish teens. These figures would be the best of series one, but I think the Spaceman is spiffy and the robots are too, so not my favourite but close! I am pleased with how the scene looked when I finished it. 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16, 5/16.
  21. Um... Robed figure heading right for us. All these visions aren't exactly helping. I am concerned that once again I will be targeted for my family..
  22. Yes, but two teams is all you need to race and have a story. They race in the canyon, in the swamp, in the arctic etc. If each set had different teams there would not be a cohesive story to tell. If there were more teams the sets would have to be bigger and thus cost more. Maybe if it is a two year theme there will be different or more teams.
  23. You asked this before... There is a whole load of help threads over in the Website and Forums sub forum. Next time take a look there yeah?
  24. If you liked this one you'll love tomorrows.
  25. More teams would make it more expensive. Two teams is enough for a race and a story. You can use your imagination and make more, that is what I am doing while I wait
