Any sightings of the box being online for sale? Or in the wild in the UK? I would like a box, but budget restrictions might demand a re-think.

I love park scenes and this is a lovely one.

Sometimes you did, sometimes you didn't. The club magazine would have information, sometimes there were adverts in kids comics. For Adventurers my sister and myself named the characters "Sam Grant" (I am sure that was Johnny's name first) Lara (um duh, wonder where that came from!), Dr. Carter (huge egyptology nerd as a child) "Evil Eyes" and "Baron Sinister". The wordless comics of the instruction manuals provided a story.

Let the search for a UK based boxload commence! My scheming begins. 16 more bigs possibly in 16 days once more Planning stages have begun so they should be half decent MOCs alongside a good display for the figures themselves. PM me if you have an excellent idea you think I could try for a fig-big!

I love helicopters! Sorry for taking so long to blog it

It looks like a mecha foot, an engine element or jet booster. The fact it is a minifig "cradel" means it could be the centerpoint for a mecha or spaceship. The shape and colour means it could be worked into a construction plant or as part of an atmospheric system on a space station.

The silver weapons are rather impressive. (I love swords) Those castle sets are really good. I like the Black Force police motorcycle too. Oh how I wish that these sets would be sold in the UK! Clever mod of the gun too.

I'm not saying that every part is as versatile as the 2x1 brick, but I still can't agree that it is bad just because a builder makes a point of using a part for a MOC. I don't know how others MOC, but I have a shape in my head and drop the parts into place as I build. That means if it facilitates a certain effect or look, I will use it. The only time I set out to use a part in a MOC was for a contest that asked you to do so. I've built plenty of MOCs in which a Bionicle part has just happened to be perfect for it. Like I said, it all comes down to how you think about it.

There are no useless parts in LEGO, just inept unimaginative not so creative builders. Everything can be used in anyway, you just have to shed your conformist philosiphy and look at things in a new way. I have yet to find a single part that I cannot use for something other than it's intended purpose.

Good good, indexed that. Next question would be: Is there a smaller set from the fantasy line that has the best fantasy weapons?

I love the swords, they are rather epic. This is the reason I buy clone sets, accessories. Will index this after this post

I have some sets and MOCs on top of the chest of drawers that I keep others in. I also have a large wooden board sat atop a steady pile of the large shipping boxes that Lego orders come in (the boxes contain all the boxes for my FF action figures and trading figures) the board holds large WIP and smaller MOCs.

I have never come across a sight for Enlighten, plenty of sellers and business listings but no base of operations.

Right subforum, there are some threads about anime and manga here. I prefer the Manga to the anime, but I stopped at about the point that the Reservoir was found, I carry on reading xxxHolic (not collecting until it is done).

I missed them. I went to the shops and they had run out. Very annoying.

I went to two shops in the same retail park and found at least 16 boxes of series 1. I am hoping to find a series 2 box on the internet ASAP. Then I can build some better "bigs" for these ones!

Great rendering of a house in bricks! You can get a shade of yellow closer to real life, Light Yellow. But it is possibly less common (I have about six bricks in this colour..) so rather a costly replacement.

So you have to be a member of the Brickish to display there? Looks like I will have to get around to joining then. I will have to see if I could go along and take a look, Swindon is possible to get to but it takes a long while...
