  1. "Alrighty." Aysu turned to the chimeran "I think it would be the best idea to listen to my friend here." Persuasion could benefit with numbers...
  2. I think the price hurts all LEGO sets/themes these days!
  3. "Enson, need my skills elsewhere? I wouldn't want to go upsetting anyone with my trigger finger."
  4. Fixed it. For anyone who comes across this: Once a Year, or staff correcting a mistake (misspelling, poor connotations to the name chosen or a space/hyphen wanted) are the main reasons to change a name. Ok?
  5. Confirmed you wanted it changed in February this year. Then it was changed like you asked, why PM a member when you're doing a nice favour? Now if you had asked to stay Viper Knight, we would have left it for you no problems and consigned the thread to history. Then, you make a second thread (it looks like because staff were not fast enough to answer you before?) to ask for a change. My question is this: Are you going to want it changed yet again in a few weeks/months because you don't like your handle again? You have not acknowledged my earlier reply on the subject.
  6. Moving closer again (F4?) Aysu attempted to soothe the Phejharan Gold Feather. "Come on buddy, I know it is scary."
  7. You did request the name change yourself. Really, we encourage members to avoid flip-flopping on names and using staff as an on demand service to facilitate ill-thought out decisions.
  8. Thank you for reading the thread/FAQs, so many hardly bother!
  9. "Ow. Why can't we be friends? Wolly is out friend." Aysu grumbled. "I can try and calm this beastie again guys, or would you rather I get shooting?"
  10. Aysu hoped her affinity to nature could bring the creature to their side.
  11. "Nice horsie... thing" Aysu looked at the creature and tried a tentative smile. "You want to, uh. Fight the guys trying to buy and sell you instead of us nice people who let you out?" Hoping to persuade the new combatant.
  12. I wonder if it will result in that. It seems counter to the "Mission Statement" kind of thing TLG has about war toys... Though licenses are always the exception. Maybe TLG noticed that some of the most popular Bootleg Minifigures that are not IP they license is the Fortnite figures (I say popular by assumption, they are very prevalent amongst the usual fake Superheroes and Ninjago. Then again, it might be so Epic can but LEGO bricks and figures into Fortnite, to TLG's benefit. It is one of the most popular "metaverse" online spaces, having had actual concerts happen there. Time will tell. I hope I can get a Leviathan figure out of this
  13. Unpopular opinion: Vidiyo introduced a lot of fun and unique figures and designs way better than recent CMF offerings, but has been highly let down by the blind-box and an app no one was into. If LEGO had gone the way of Battle Royal instead of music (even with the same figure designs) then they could even have stood a chance at catching Fortnite fans attention. I do not play Fortnite, but I love the random characters involved in the game.
  14. "If those guys before were any clue, I don't think they will let anyone just walk." Aysu shrugged, "And that notice? Their boss sounds super mean."
  15. @Darkdragon and @Shadows Maybe a forum wide announcement? That will catch attention in all the sections and not just here.
  16. https://www.amazon.com/Schylling-Lego-Friends-Stickers/dp/B00BZHPSZ4/ref=pd_bxgy_t_img_y Yes, yes. I am a wizard.
  17. Aysu will be grabbing anything that is not nailed down and if the chance arises might go back for furnishings and fixtures So If no one else dibs any of the other objects I will be getting them all packed up for doling out once we are done. (Magpie character, but she likes to share too!)
  18. "So I spy a side-arm." Aysu chuckled and reached out and grabbed the gun. "If it belongs to one of those earlier guys, they're not going to need it, and if it is someone else's? Well, one less gun to turn against us."
  19. It was a joint effort to build between myself, my Mum and my brother, so we had a few trays on the dining table and poured the bags out, with a team effort finding parts we each needed. That was part of the enjoyment for me at the time
  20. Okay then, I second Cloney's statement: I still have every set I ever owned, that is 28 years of LEGO collecting ('cus Mum only let me have system when I turned 5) but we also still have all the Duplo too so I could put one of those in the list . 1: 8635: Mobile Command Center Agents was a great theme, I had all of the first wave. This set has only ever been mildly modified in the years since I purchased it (2008 is a lot longer ago than I care to consider) and still intact on the shelf. This is the truck/lorry base set that I compare all others to. So far nothing has come close to this pinnacle of mobile command centre design. 2: 5978: Sphinx Secret Surprise A great balance of play and design IMO. A good representation of a Sphinx, but with hidden treasures and a mechanism to play with that doesn't interrupt the lines of the Sphinx design. Johnny Thunder is an excellent original LEGO character too. 3: 6536: Aero Hawk Sure to be a controversial pick! This little set not only "introduced" me to the idea of changing a build, the boat/plane options both in one little set for me to play with when my system collection could fit in a small carton. The design is not far off the actual light aircraft of the type in that era but it also provided me with wings and a wedge for many future aircraft/boat/spacecraft MOCs. Also, the figure had a cool jacket. 4: 70615: Fire Mech Stupendous Mecha! What Exo Force would have been with more support, the chunky but poseable shape, the effective parts use, the colour scheme. I loved building it and it still stands with the other select sets I have not dismantled. 5: 31120: Medieval Castle A recent purchase, it was enjoyable to build and a nice castle to display. This is one I will likely enjoy for years to come. 6: 10193: Medieval Market Village This was a great Castle set and is really becoming a classic. We're unfortunately not getting sets like this as often as I would like. 7: 10223: Kingdoms Joust Another brilliant Castle set, it resisted the need for gimmicks and was just a solid design. My only regret is not getting two so I could enclose the whole area. 8: 31109: Pirate Ship A Boat! A Pirate ship I can continue to use as a template for future boat projects. 9: 70653: Firstbourne A fearsome and large Dragon, that is also red, has flapping wings and good colours. A dragon that puts the current Ninjago offerings to shame. 10: 41183: The Goblin King's Evil Dragon A bit of a misnomer, this is a Wyvern, however the Elves dragons were all great little things that looked good. This one is my favourite because of the spring green. Here be my top sets, but everything below No 2 were in no particular order, just in order of how I recalled them when making this list.
  21. "Anyone else fancy grabbing a bite before we get deeper into this?" Aysu checked the food to see if any of it was good supplies.
  22. "Oh man, stupid ideas seem to be this guy's special skill." Aysu checked the room for any evidence of Bertram's movement.
  23. I'll move this across to the LDD forum. I am not exceptionally technical with the software!
  24. Again, I return to this thread. I am going to use this thread again. I have been sorting a bit, to get building again. So I have once again been getting all stoked about parts: This hair is so cool, especially in the coral colour. When I was but a sprog, hair was the very classic parts, hardly any sculpts and certainly some very basic colours. To have something as excellently random as a coral swept undercut is just fantastic. A little detail, but the little details can set a figure/MOC apart, looks good on a rack/hook and looks good on any figure. This is an axolotl. I love axolotls. My sister has one, and that chonky floofing nutter is the best. (We call her gills "floofs"). To have one to add to LEGO builds is the reason I bought a set. I once wanted a keytar, now at least my figures can have one. Just what you need for a New Retro Wave musician. I like plates with rounded corners, there is something organic about them, almost. I know I can use them in this green shade for a tree build, a swamp or a jungle. A crate, forever dressing up any MOC scene or vehicle to make it look that little bit more lived in, or to put in the idea of activity, of stored tools/treasures/weapons ready for the characters to collect/move/shelter behind. I have also seen dioramas that use them to create wall panels, which looks quite nifty. So yeah, just a bit more of a signal boost to positive fandom things
