  1. Thanks for the updated link moom. If the bricks were more compatible with Lego, I would have bought some by now.
  2. Here is the site. They are out of stock at the moment, but claim it will be there soon. It cost me £97.49 (ish) tax and shipping included.
  3. I was beaten to the punch! Mine will be 16x16 though. These are excellent work, well built, well thought out and some cool construction went into them. I hope mine compare well later in the Month of Minifigs (September, if'n you didn't guess).
  4. Get Ready to Die - Andrew WK
  5. This is because my e-mail is private, and with 5 posts you can't yet use our PM system here is a link to an online seller that I bought from, I got my box today. However they seem to be out of stock until 1st September. If you keep checking back it should update when they are in stock
  6. I may have decried it earlier, but you can feel through the bag quite well. I was in a supermarket looking for figures for my little brother, and could feel and guess with 100% accuracy (maybe it is just my obsessive memory of minifigure parts) and remember, when two figures have the similar feeling parts, eliminate possiblities by checking for their unique features! If anyone wants to buy the box, I have found a website selling that takes paypal.
  7. I have to check my information and suchlike before I can tell you a real yes. Rather close to Brickworld, I was hoping to go, but time needs to be checked
  8. Anyone in the UK want to get hold of a box? PM me and I can pass on some extra information. (I hesitate to post more incase of my experience being non-typical)
  9. As mentioned earlier, we know why we love Action themes, and we accept that they only have a short lifespan. However, some of these themes keep our imagination in their thrall. We MOC them long after they are done languishing in clearance. We rave about them to fellow AFOLs and they are forever our favourites. So, which theme counted as an Action Theme do you like forever and always? Personally it would have to be Adventurers and Alpha Team.
  10. It is in the UK... This is why it plays at about six in the evening. Why you can get a huge stack of action figures, voice changers, fancy dress costumes and accessories. Not to mention the pajamas, bead sheets, curtains, lamps, Spagettie Shapes, Lunch boxes, Tardis play tents, drink bottles and the kids magazine series that comes out about every week. And the kids tv "magazine show" Blue Peter has a contest once a year to design something to turn up in one of the "Doctor/Assisstant lite" episodes (eg. The monster in Love and Monsters and the home made Tardis controls in The Lodger). Most decidedly child popular here in the UK. There is a slightly more for kids series, The Sarah Jane Adventures which helpfully in the gap between series of Doctor Who, on the BBC kids channel, which also has a selection of toys. Then there is Torchwood, which is for adults and thus far all I have seen is more detailed action figures for the collector. However, the size of the market means there won't be Lego sets. The UK isn't big enough to support a seperate theme, and Doctor Who isn't as popular in the rest of the world. There is a possiblity that a some other brand might try and make them.
  11. Alas, I haven't got the experience in retail to get such a position. However the regular store employee job has gone on my "just in case" list (jobs I could do if my current position becomes redundant, a sensible thing to have in the current climate. Too bad it isn't a discovery center, the I would be first in line to be a builder there
  12. *Dances* I am so broke once it opens. I am so attending on grand opening!
  13. So grab a few extra things from a shop that has it at a reasonable price. Take a look and get a selection of interesting parts or figures to hit the price they require and check if the store is located in the same hemisphere as you so postage costs less
  14. Throwing them away is not a clever thing to do. Store them up incase of missing parts in new sets, to add a little extra flourish to a plain set or just to make a little treasure trove using trans colour 1x1 rounds. I save them, I MOC a lot.
  15. FollowsClosely. The top photo is the lights and sounds brick from Insectoids. Not sure what set it could have come from as I believe that there were at least three that used the part.
  16. I would love those pistols. I do like those articulated figures, such a small size but they have more points of articulation than some of my carded figures and even the costly boxed ones (my FF play arts are all that have that spartan beat in articulation) great poses, imagine the animation possibilities! Thanks for the review, Halo isn't really my thing, so I am yet to pick up a set.
  17. Have you tried following the set inventory on bricklink? If it isn't listed, it might be hard to buy. This Link is for the set inventory on bricklink. The part should be on the list and then you can follow the part through to a seller who has it in stock.
  18. Adventurers had a card/board game based element within the Orient Expidition subtheme. Round bases and cards? Sounds like HeroClix, or other such table top gaming. An interesting place for Lego to go.
  19. Time to pin this thread. Enjoy the discussions!
  20. Seeing as the 2011 rumours have begun, I am unpinning this thread. Ok guys?
  21. Well, it sounds like I will get a bit of a gap proir to the next box. January release means December is for sightings.
  22. Huzzah, Ninjas!. The action themes are getting more and more exctiting!
  23. So you mean a list, with the website link a representativ review and a classification to each one? But keep the reviews section (By brand) and the other random links? I could do something like that, but could you wait a few days as I am on holiday at the moment. My net access is sparodic.
