Do all the lights flash on and off so we know if it is friend or foe? That is a great MOC, there are never enough Macross/Robotech MOCs around. I love the use of a techfig as a Zentradi. I wonder how big it would need to be if it were to be built to minifig scale (As in a minifig is a micronian to fit in the palm of a Zentradi hand...)

Well, the series 2 vampires weren't ninja were they? So I used their heads on a modified series 1 ninja torso to create a ninja vampire.

The Action Theme You Love
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wrong thread Trent. This is about Lego's own action themes. Not Fanboi dream sets. Instead of posting all over the boards about the many make-a-wish themes you have, try creating your own representations of what you want. I would love Final Fantasy and Robotech Lego, but instead of spamming the place, I MOC my own and customise the figures. Can you stop with all these somewhat pointless requests? -
The trans neon yellow gems made a really good effect, even if their "free radical" nature meant this vig has been a pain to move around! I was glad to have grabbed a few handfuls last time I was at the PaB. The stream was created using an Exo-Force fiber optic cable.

The Sequel is posted! This figure is fun to play with, I think I see a series coming along....

Tired of "his" pathway, the Master decides to travel the world. On his journey he encounters some Vampire Ninja... This should be an interesting battle! A sequel to my last vig. The Master is such a fun figure to use.

Gentlemen? See the metaphorical crown? (Hint, it's in the title and isn't related to music). I believe that you should stop the arguments about whether Megablocks is cool or not. We all have opinions about such things. Another thing to mention. Trent, I think you were warned about spamming up the place with posts about Total Drama Island construction toys, wouldn't a fansite dedicated to the series be a more appropriate place to discuss this ad nauseam? I think it has been established that construction toy compaines are not really that interested in picking up the liscence. Maybe you could use your collection and create something to show us all what we are missing, instead of telling us all that there should be some for sale?

The comic con I went to today had a seller with a selection of Lego Products, so I picked up this set and a figure.

Thanks Rick Milargo: I have quite a large minifig parts collection and I love to use them in all manner of MOCs and vigs.

So the site is up now then? Cool. Hope this means that set hi-res images turn up soon then!

Everything. Anything and everywhere. Some days I am not even doing anything in particular and I am hit with an idea. One model can be an homage to some media I enjoy, the next just some idea I had when looking at my bricks. If I actively seek inspiration I find I become stressed if I lack or lose it, so I leave things come and go as they please. It means that I sometimes do not manage to fully realise an idea before I move on, but I don't mind.

I just love all kinds of things that drive!

That is an unfortunate combination of lighting and angles. The tree is Dark Green, but it appears as black if you don't know it to be dark green. It is supposed to be a cherry tree in blossom. Glad you like the stone path captain crossbricks, it was another experiment with how things look in a MOC.

This ninja will soon learn that it is not wise to confront an old man on this path. I love making vigs right now, so here is one I built earlier this evening. The hat is from the really good customisers BrickTW. I hope the scene conveys the action, something I have recently been experimenting with.

Hey, that's pretty funny! The sleek lines of the tiled surfaces make a great contrast for the hefty handle on the door and the rock is well textured. A nice comedic scene comlimented by well built scenery.

Well, methinks I shall pick up those with the best colours and weapons. Then the cheaper sets. Blisterpacks means I get exactly what I want

Our Heroic party confronts their nemesi in an abandoned factory, unfortunately there is still a lot of untreated waste sloshing around the place. This is a small scene to showcase some of the figures I based on popular magitek games and to practice some more "dynamic" posing. There are two more planned scenes I wish to build and more characters to add. I wonder if you can guess my main inspiration?

Grunwald looks really good. I am keeping a lookout for sets at a decent price localy.

Ok then. I must also cite the BrickJournal issue 10 that featured an interesting article on TLGs reaction to a crate of Enlighten product entering the market. They were not best pleased about blatent intellectual property infringement. Just look at the fuss members make over kids online passing off MOCs as their own or anyone making a MOC that looks similar to anothers. My only issue with Enlighten is the quality. I have a few sets and they seem to explode on completion due to clutch and plastic problems. It is just as I said, there is a marked difference in quality between globally legitimate companies and manufacturers like Enlighten that take advantage of local law to make quick money of cheap product.

The issue with the first -Mint ship was the lack of parts in the colours I wanted to use. This one has a lot more selection in parts, so it has the smooth and compact shape I wanted to achieve with BubbleMint.

New Lego Store opening in Cardiff, UK!
Peppermint_M replied to jm28cardiff's topic in General LEGO Discussion
What the What? 20 minutes in which direction? Eh, if you ever see a nutter in goggles at the store, it's me It will certainly be in the St Davids shopping center, I have no positive ID of the exact retail unit as there was no sign last time I was in the city. I am keeping my ear to the ground regarding an opening date. -
After the BubbleMint crash landed on approach to Comet City the owner decided on a re-build and named the craft CoolMint. Another Approach to Ship building, this is a nippy craft made for low to nil atmosphere environments. Many outer rim settlements are O-Domes on airless rocks and it is cheaper to opt for a Space Thruster only ship. Slip Drives allow for speedey travel across known space. This custom model sports combat claws and blasters, reflecting the pilot's profession as a bounty hunter. - I dropped BubbleMint and the resulting explosiong of Lego made it unsalvageable. I altered the colour scheme to allow for a look similar to Lycoris and another gum flavour I like.
