  1. I am aware of this, but distilling it down to the most basic of terms was my aim. It takes a lot of effort to explain that Shifty/Enlighten and the like are not the same thing as Cobi and Mega Blocks. Even now. It may be legal in China, but considering I am typing this on my laptop here in Wales I think the law means that UK Customs will sieze any large imports of Enlighten but are perfectly fine with bringing in Cobi and Best Lock.
  2. Been there, done that. When bayblades were popular I was too old to be bought them and wanted to buy Lego. not spinning tops. However my love of anime, competition and general cool stuff meant I did want some... Before I was able to accumalate enough parts for my own top (old pokemon cards for spare parts ) I made spinning tops out of Lego. The "Glider Round" made a very balanced and useful spinning focal point.
  3. As we who live in Not-the-USA get to join I am  to that. (hmm, I seem to have grown an extra arm...) Sets and minifigs, articles and suchlike will all be welcome.
  4. All is not as forseen. I still didn't see these changes everyone spoke of. I am glad the glitch was sorted out. All this computer stuff gets a bit complex for me when it passes basic HTML and a little creative exploration of applications...
  5. I hope Train Tech helped in ID-ing the sets copied. I am not knowledgeable about Trains, only clone brands and minifigs I hope your sets are a good quality. Price is always the reason I never have Lego trains (one day a layout will have some form of train!) You and your sons have fun playing with them!
  6. Great Find Aanchir! (I read io9, and rarely see Kotaku output) Thanks for linking it over here.
  7. I used to watch Sesame Street with my little sister when we were small, I loved the martians most (Yip yip Yip yip. aaaa-huh.) but Oscar and Cookie were close second.
  8. Nutrition is hip! How to destroy my sister's world *bwahahahaha* (She is a cookie lover)
  9. I think this would go in the Other Themes forum, due to its "modern historical" warefare theme. I shall move it momentarily. Nevertheless, an effective and attractive MOC, good work
  10. As per request. It can be said that they do not fit, the pegs are wider and longer then Cobi leg pegs. It is unfortunate. The arms are also hard to remove.
  11. the leg may just be pre-limand therefore will be changed later. After all, the Mexican Marachas man had a green Indy fedora in the first pictures we saw.
  12. Most certainly mad. Maybe whatever the designers of Ninja Go were using got into the water supply?
  13. I think the issue I have enountered with everyone all over is thus: "We Like To Know What We Get" blind bags are not fun for everyone and there should be a small window or what have you, to get the figures. Or TLG should sell full sets of 16. I am a little tired of purchasing entire boxes (not to mention displeased about price) so I am stopping after series 3. I may even just get the full set and a few multiples of my favourites (100% accuracy through touch!) of series 3 onwards.
  14. Enlighten = Bootleg. Bootleg = Criminal Copy of actual Lego from similar chinese companies that bring other bootleg action figures and toys. A Clone Brand is simply a brand that can combine with Lego, they have unique designs and their own elements, though they use the same dimension as the popular bricks. The pirate ship designs you didn't recognise were taken from another manufacturer like Oxford or Mega. They apply the exact same regard to quality on the compatible brand rip-offs as they do the Lego product Rip off (i.e. None). Now that I have once again defined these terms... I have seen the pirate boat reviews and I have to say, I would never buy enlighten, quite simply because they are such bad quality. I am not averse to the custom accessories within (Chromed weapons and suchlike). Enlighten are a bootleg and more concerned with brand confusion than quality. I am tempted by their brown RC rail (much nicer than bley and cheaper too). If you want to pay less for a pirate ship, pick up one from another legitimate manufacturer.
  15. A poll would be good, but there are so many action themes that it would be a huge one.
  16. Hi. You are aware the Enlighten is a Bootleg (as in direct rip off) of Lego? I have condsidered the rail track (brown is nicer then bley) but space constraints means no trains . I myself wanted to get an actual Lego train and then use the tracks for extension instead of the expensive Lego track. The Train Tech forum will likely hold the key to switching motors.
  17. 10) Pharaoh Entry (Build by Cusm) 25) Mexican Entry (Build by Jippon) 34) Witch Entry (Build by Athos) Great Work Guys
  18. Watched much anime? It all makes perfect sense if you take a cross section of many manga and anime. Ok, so I do read a load of wacky manga and watch even more insane anime. But ninja, dragons and skeletons on choppers do appear at times.
  19. Thanks for the info, but there has been a full list of minifigs and barcodes around since the figures were in shops.
  20. Well I used them in the Pop Princess scene. I am experimenting with them too.
  21. Well, I am going to have to say that series 3 might be my last boxworth (Due to contents). I went to a new and very close by supermarket superstore and found series 2 boxes on the shelves, I know that they will thus have the series 3 and possible series 4. I bought a box so I would have the figures for certain. Now that I know there will be boxes at a store I will go to regularly (family preferred supermarket, large and local. A dead cert for the weekly food shop)so I will stop at 16 with a few multiples of ones I want more than one of. It is costly to buy an entire box, no matter how fun it is and how often I build figures using the parts (I even have a use for the bases). I have to disagree with the loss of creativity. The kids do want to build for the figures, even if they don't come in a set. In fact it encourages it, because they do not have a picture of where the figure "belongs" they have to come up with something themselves.
  22. I second this. Except I was 17 when I started collecting Exo-Force, it was what prevented the (rather odd accepted definition) of a dark age. The years between 15 and 17 had been Knights Kingdom II then I moved onto Exo-Force. Ninja-Go is just another theme that is my sort of thing to have!
  23. I am very much there, the dates are great and it is only 2 hours by train to London.
  24. By series 3 there should be a PaB wall 30 minutes train ride from me, so those are going to look pretty cool. This series benefited from my collection being sorted.
  25. With one of those kilty skirt things. And in Tan for statues... That would be really cool...
