REVIEW: 7307 Flying Mummy Attack
Peppermint_M replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
*Flashback* 10 years old on the way home from town, happily clutching a real Lego bi-plane in it's box, my two greatest things combined into one. *Nostalgia* Heavy nostalgic taints means I am buying so much of this theme, the pictures just make me more excited for it. I love that era of flight and history, more than any other time. I can tell that these sets will create similar feelings for children today as I had when I was young. This is great, considering of late TLG seems to have been going down the franchise route over the own merits method. This theme is so going to be the best of the year! -
Think I will have to wait for a nice inventory list over on Bricklink before I am ready to go buy it, all the other picks omit the helmet... I only want three helmets, so as long as it is there, I can buy it online

I think this would do better over in Sci Fi, so I shall move it there.

REVIEW: 7325 Cursed Cobra Statue
Peppermint_M replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for another great review. This set looks really cool, I wonder if the material online will name the characters at all? Here's hoping the sets come out in the UK soon. -
Lego Master Building Academy (MBA)
Peppermint_M replied to Darth Jar Jar's topic in General LEGO Discussion
$100 a year is only $8 a month. What is $8 a month in real terms? In my terms, that is £62.54 a year or £5 a month. To me, £5 a month is nothing much, skipping the coffe from Starbucks for two days, not having the large bacon roll for breakfast, skipping the chocolate bar and cola one day. It isn't a great expense when you look at it like that, is it? (Note, the roll, chocolate and cola are not vital to my functioning. I should really cut those out as it is...) -
Review: 7305 Scarab Attack
Peppermint_M replied to Still Raindrop's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Indexed! Man, am I on the ball today! Thanks for the review. I was already sold on these sets as soon as the first blurry scans turned up and these shiny pictures just make them more needed! The scarab looks so cute though, I think it may need adopting as a pet by the intrepid Jake and his team. The juxtoposition of Johnny and Jake was a nice touch -
Discussion: LEGO Action Themes Reviews Index
Peppermint_M replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Welp, it's updated to include the new themes and the new Atlantis Sets. Feel free to place comments here on anything that looks like it needs changing. I plan on overhauling it at a later date. OCD-ish Peppermint is OCD-ish about such things. -

TLG looking for good storytellers!

You know, I never ever have the formal experience to even consider applying for these things. I wish I could apply, but I have no idea what to put. -

All I know is that I will be getting a pilot solely for his jacket. Peppermint Leather Jackets. My sig fig needs a new, more action theme look. -
Hi, I'm just going to move this across to the Brick Flicks and Comics section. With all the excitement about new sets I must have missed this thread. Remember, a place for everything and everything in it's place: comics going to the aforementioned forum.

I think what he means is that kids can't collect if the adults "in the know" can go in and collect exactly what they want en masse, harvesting multiples of one figure. -
I tried to get them too look like UK police riot squads, but so far there are no dark blue pilot helmets I can use. I have a few more units in my police force, but they are the Lego provided ones, my other custom units are awaiting parts.
-
DO WANT OM NOM NOM Shall be mine! 'kay, so that is at least one Atlantis set to get I know my little brother is eyeing these up with excitement too.
-
There are some rather shifty Enlighten sets with transclear shields, but I cound't find any of them when I was seeking the parts I needed. So off I went to Brick Forge .
-
Using: Sluban Vests, Oxford stickers, Brickforge batons and shields alongside some of my Lego police, I created this Riot Squad. I think they fit in nicely with my current police force.

New Lego Store opening in Cardiff, UK!
Peppermint_M replied to jm28cardiff's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, if the "grand" opening was a bit lame, I will wait until the friday instead, seeing as I have a day off booked then. Moving it would be awkward. Plus on intel from my sister and her tame AT-AT pilot, some of the UK Garrison will turn up close to the opening (possibly Saturday 11th) so more might happen then. -
There we go

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Peppermint_M replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ah well, I will pick up some figures I want, no box for me this time. I know they will be in shops and also in the Lego Store that is coming soon. I really would like at least two of most of them. No need for the code, I have a 100% accuracy rate on parts id-ing inside the bag. Now to sit it out and wait for the figures to be in shops! -
REVIEW: 7327 Scorpion Pyramid
Peppermint_M replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Dark Tan pith helmet + dark tan turban = Jungle Patrol Aye, I need this set, hopefully the UK price won't be too insane, I guess I'll buy it from the Lego Store, get the VIP points on top. -
I'll get a rotated shot today. If anyone else wants to see a specific figure, let me know and I can post seperate pics here

One of BrickTW's great parts.

Just what is the Pilot's backpack like? -
I shall sulk, and sulk and sulk until I can buy these sets in the UK. *arms folded* Is there any sort of supplementary material like little comics, such as the old Adventurers used to have?
