  1. Did you know... ...that Eurobricks has a massive collection of official LEGO sets made in LDD? Only a click away over at the LDD Forum, you can download around 700 official LEGO sets as 3D models - and more coming in every day. The models have all been made by fellow EB members, so with this I'd also like to take the opportunity to say a big Thanks to you all! If you want to help out re-creating official sets in LDD, you're more then welcome. But make sure you read the topic rules first, or our tough indexer Calabar will come down hard on you (and I'm not joking). On the good side, it ensures that the submitted models all have top quality.
  2. Yeah, I know - you can't open certain Access files made in 32 bit office with 64 bit office. There's quite a bit of discussion about this on the internet. Glad you solved it though. And thanks for reporting that it works on 32 bit Office 2010.
  3. It's been reported earlier, but no problem - a good find it always a good find
  4. Hm, that's pretty much what I proposed two posts up from yours. It's always good to pay attention to what has allready been posted in the thread when there are several people trying to help a fellow AFOL. @Mobibricki - if it says access denied when trying to alter hidden folder, you are most likely not logged in as administrator. Once again, I urge you to google and try to solve the problem.
  5. Sorry for being a bit short, but basic computer questions like that you can either google for, or use the Help in Windows 7. I googled, and found this. Hope it helps.
  6. Please, read the instructions in the first post very carefully so you are sure you are editing the right preferences.ini (there are two).
  7. Another reference document Update LDRAW.XML file needed to export LDD files to LDR (MLCad): http://gallaghersart.com/index.php?/site/new_ldd_parts_and_the_ldraw.xml/
  8. If you want to create a list of all parts, you can use LDD Manager. There are a few older tools, but they do not support all the bricks in LU Mode.
  9. The peeron chart is good, and cover the most important LEGO colors. Note however, that it is lacking a few of the newer colors that can be found in LDD. A more complete Color reference and linking to the corresponding BL color can be found in LDD Manager. EDIT: Eventually I'll try to make a separte file for this color chart, but for the time being it's in LDD Manager.
  10. If you want to start a normal community build (with or without LDD support), I propose that you do that in the forum for that specific theme.
  11. So what is your conclusion? Is there some error in the bricks in LDD, and if so where? I can't figure this one out.
  12. Aha, I see. But then I wonder if there really is an error in LDD, or if it's the cab cage that gets slightly bent when you put it together with physical bricks that allow the elements to fit.
  13. First LDD Community Build done A few weeks ago some EB Members, guided by ADHO15, set out to do a RCB (Relay Community Build). Over a number 20 iterations, they used LEGO Digital Designer to add to each others work and the MOC below emerged. If you want to know more about this build, the different steps, and download the finished MOC, then head on over here
  14. I've noticed that too. Apperantly, LDD doesn't fully support that kind of "lose" connectivity type anymore. I know LDD used to support that coupling type, but I guess they revised the rules?
  15. Thanks ADHO15 for holding this contest - you did a great job navigating between seriousness and having fun. I guess it's time for reflections. In the meantime, I'll frontpage this unique build
  16. Question: Is the hood supposed to lower any more? I'm asking since there seems to be a stop where I've circled with blue. EDIT: To Calabar, image will removed shortly. And...deleted
  17. @Tore - Outstanding job on that Technics model! And well document issues - just the way we like it Regarding the angle pieces in the cab that doesn't fit, I'm wondering if it really is a LDD error. I simplified the geometry a bit and got this. Wouldn't it be possible to rotate the lowest joint element a few degrees in your model and get it to work?
  18. Some prank by the other admins for a thing I did :-)

  19. Interesting case. You can see a small fragment of a milimeter difference (circled in blue), causing it not to close. I wonder if this building technique in system or not? EDIT: To Calabar - I'll delete the picture shortly.
  20. Excellent review compadre. I like the graphics. Keep it up
  21. Please everyone, take it easy with the emoticons! No need for three emoticons in a post! I'm coming down hard, because I don't want inflation in this, OK?
  22. Hi, welcome to the LDD forum. Cool that you got LDD to run on Linux. Good to know if anyone asks if it's possible in the future.
  23. OK, but I meant the technic plates. The have not been used in recent sets, right?
  24. OK, but please note that there is nothing wrong with the part as such. It is a just a few degrees off, but fully usable since LDD takes up the "slack". It's only if you use it the way privat_lego showed that it is a problem (and that must be very, very rare since no-one saw the problem before private_lego told us)
