Building a revolving door in LDD
Superkalle replied to talos's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Not sure I understand. What are you referring to? -
Sweet Tiny Turbos is my #1 favorite theme! It's something about how you can create a cool expression with just a few bricks!

LDD Update anytime soon?
Superkalle replied to kangmingjie's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
What I've been told earlier is that adding the L-Motor and Servo requires a new LDD version (not only a brickset). This is because of the "special feature" with the loose wire ends. So until they release a new LDD version, the L-motor and Servo can't be added. -

Hi there Welcome to the forum. I think I'll let Calabar judge if these are entries that could go into the Official sets topic. -
[Software] LDD Manager
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Is the file you are opening perhaps a LXFML? To make sure it's a LXF, open the file you have problem with in LDD, then use "save as" and save it to make to save it as LXF-file. The try again to import it into LDD Manager. -

LDD removing bricks upon opening a file
Superkalle replied to Cara's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
If you want to, you can send me the file Cara, and I can have a look at what's causing the problem. Normally, it's supposed to be that if can place the brick during normal work in LDD, it should stay there even if you re-open the file. The majority of the cases when you open a file and and a brick is removed, is when you open a file that was created in a previous version of LDD. This is then because sometimes the definition of the brick (collision volumes, connectivity etc), has been corrected or fine tuned. So a case like you explained (when you create and re-open in the same version) is kind of unusual (even though it does happen) -

How order parts for a LDD MOC
Superkalle replied to Yules's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
@Yules. I see this is your first post here, so first of all: Welcome to Eurobricks. Now for a tip: I noticed you posted this in an old topic from 2011. In this case it would have been better to start a new topic, so I created this one for you. -
Hi everyone I've attached two PDF files on the A25. One is a general product brochure, and the second is about the A25 in tunneling applications. As you can see in the latter, the main benefit of the short 4x4 is its tighter turning radius, which is ideal in narrow tunnels. The model is particularly popular in Japan. As for the discussion about the existence or non-existence of the F generation of the A25 4x4; As have been noted, you canβt find the 4x4 with the F model designation in any on-line product presentations. This is because the 4x4 is no longer part of the standard product offer. It is however available for special order, so in that sense it exists. And when the LEGO model was to be made, naturally the newer, cooler looking F-design was chosen. Hope that answers some of the question you guys have been having. Oh, and here are some more pictures on the LEGO L350F I found: http://www.betterroa...ith-lego-group/ http://www.equipment...hotos/?pid=3212 A25E4x4_spec.pdf Volvo Articulated Haulers in tunnels.pdf

That is actually what appears to be an illegal build, since the cones will collide with the 2450 (although it is barely touching it I agree). To understand the problem, you can replace the 32000 with a 11211 and it should work. This is because the center of the technic holes of the Technic brick are actually placed a tiny bit higher then the center of the stud on a 11211 (and similar bricks). So why did it work before? Well, I think you are right in the scene that the collision volume of the cone has actually been improved (better aligns with the visual geometry of the brick), so what worked in an old version of LDD, now doesn't work anymore. (i.e. improving the digital brick quality has revealed a previously unknown poor build technique from TLG).

Quick LDD question

Shift + Right Click (On the PC). For other commands, check the Help File. It's short, but it's got a few good tricks in there. -
Racing Truck

Looks spendid. -
A few things I noticed 1) 4274 Connector Peg is incorrectly colored Titanium Metallic 2) The 44301 is not angled/positioned in a "snap" angle (see zip-file) About the 48336 and 32028, can you explain where the collision is please? Capture.zip

Yeah, that actually seems to be an "illegal" build in the fact that it puts the bricks in compression, but it's so mild, that I guess it passed the check-filter at TLG. However, I'm not sure closing the doors is the best idea, since if the LDD Team in the future decides to fix the headlight brick (enlarge the collision volume), the it would destroy the model when you open it. It's not a biggie, but I would probably leave the doors on the 11 degree open angle, even if it doesn't look so pretty. Then the model would be more accurate too.

How do you mean a month? Looking in the calender, it is about 6 and a half weeks from the day of the announcement, so we was hoping it would be enough.
