Hi all This is just to let you know that there will soon be a LDD Design contest here at EB with some really nice prices. The contest setup, rules, categories, judging etc haven't been finalised yet, so if you have any thoughts or proposals, post 'em here.

Good job. However, the Cafe Corner has allready been made, check the index in the first post of this topic and you'll find that and a lot of other buildings. Also, in the future please remember to also upload the LXF-file. That's how we do it in this topic - share with each other

LDD Design Challenge #4
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
OK, boys and girls. Thanks everyone for your entries. Here are the correct answers (well, correct and correct....it was the answers that I could come up with ) 1) The easy one- just click the green markers in the rotation wheel. Most of you got that right. 2) The clever one - first remove the tyres/wheels. Then use the green arrows to close, and then put the wheels back. This trick can actually be used in other places in LDD too. Many of you got this right also in different variants, i.e. basically temporarily edit the model. 3) The hard one - OK, this is far fetched, but it IS a solution - you can open the LDD file in a text editor and edit the brick position numbers directly. Oh yes, then there is the "slam shut method", i.e. yank the green arrow fast with the mouse (yes it's true). It works sometimes, but not always, and the quest was to find out a method that works 100% of the times (sorry Ras ) OK, see you soon with Challenge 5 (btw...*whispering* if you have any idea for challenge 5, please let me know) -
[Software] LDD Manager
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hi, Hm, I can't seem to find that error. When I look at the file name it ends with ".pdf" with no underscore and when I click it on my computer it will open with Adobe Reader. And just to clarify, it is this file we're talking about, right? http://cid-21190d9a82a0354a.skydrive.live....0Help%20PDF.pdf -
[Software] LDD Manager

Funny you should mention this. I have been thinking of a real-time file monitoring feature, so that when you click the save-button in LDD, LDDManager will automatically re-import the file and give you the possbility to quickly see for example if a brick exists in that color. -
To my understanding they are not violating the NDA since it's official IGN-videos. And just to say it, the four part videos you link to are the best damned introductions to LU I've ever seen. Personally I've been struggling with the alpha and beta, and found the game experience very un-intuitive and difficult to understand with Malestroms, Imaginaion, thinking hats and god knows what. After watching these videos everything falls into place and you start appreciating the whole game concept and all the thinkng the game developers put into it. Like the behaviour editor. It's going to be very interesting to see if this game becomes a hit or not. But LEGO sure needs to make it easier to understand the game concept. Just my 2 cents.

[KEY TOPIC] Wanted bricks in LDD
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
1) I'll make sure to add the 30209 to the wish list 2) 1x1 plates and 1x1 round plates etc can be fitted into technic bricks, but like you say, not bigger bricks. 3) Your're absolutetly right about the 41751. It will allow connecting anything bigger than a 2x2 brick on the lower connecting area. I will report this to Lego! I will report this as a "bug" actually, since this the most recent mold. Great spotting! And I know how frustrating it is when bricks are missing!! But like I said earlier, don't expect any brick additions until after summer. That's what I've been told at least. -
In which set was this brick released?
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, I called them and it's what the customer rep told me. I had him repeat the set number several times, and even he was a bit bewildered. And it was definetely the 6005 arch brick we're talking about, no missunderstanding. My long-shot with this post was that someone here at the forum would go "oh yeah...I rembember back in...." -
Well, I can say you're off to a good start here as a MOC builder. I like the way you've used the material you have to create a great scenery. And putting the wind turbine a bit higher give a nice effect. Keep up the good work!
-
Absolutetly fantastic. I really like when you look at a MOC and you get a new sensation. This one does that.

Does anyone know in which set the 6005 Arch Brick in Yellow came in? BrickLink or Peeron doesn't provide any info. Lego Customer Support says the brick was in the set "7012" released in 2001 and the brick itself was stopped being produced in 2006. Lego couldn't find a name for the set, but could see that other parts included were a diver, sea-weed and some sort of shark. So my question: what set is/was 7012, and was the part 6005 ever released in yellow in that set? If not, was the brick released in any other set? BrickLink Peeron image:

I want to buy a bunch of these bricks in Yellow (preferably 10, but I can settle with 2). They are available at BrickLink from one seller for $9 per piece, but that is a bit over my budget. Even so I'll naturally pay good for them.
